  • Only Jimi Hendrix would have the titanium cojones to play the Beatles brand new hit song TO THE BEATLES THEMSELVES ...

  • nice

  • 0 people can go to hell.

  • Fuckin hell... I've read about this but never seen it! This is the gig with the beatles and eric clapton, jimmy page etc in the audience. AND i think Pink Floyd opened for them. I wish sooooo bad I was there...

  • There is God!

  • beatles

  • @LakshmiNryshimha beatles???

  • wowowowowow,im the beatkes fun, jimi jimi i love jimi,!!!!!!!!!!! sound terrible but it is great!!!!!!!!!! im listening all good music 1956-1979bP))))))))))))))))))

  • apox. 700 people shoulda watched out for thier ears......

  • Its God

  • Rehearsed 5 minutes before coming on, with The Beatles there, after it had been out for only a day......Genius!

  • @WALLAH00F No, this is from December 22 1967. The performance your referring to is from the saville theatre, June 4th, 1967. There is no tape from that show in existence, but this gives us a good idea of what it must have been like

  • Sgt. Pepper was published on friday and jimi played this song on sunday, only 2 days after the new LP O.O and P. Macca was there!! simply amazing

  • The day after the album was released he had learned the song, taught it to his band, and played it live as seen in this footage.

  • i herd paul and george were in the Audience

  • Jimi is such a genius, he can perfectly learn the song in a matter of days.

  • he's just about the best guitar player ever to have lived. and thats when he's only playing with one hand.

  • The way he throws his ciggy away is the epitome of coolness

  • Look what he did with his cigaret.. So cool..

  • I think Aliens played this in a ufo above Earth and the audio came from the center of the a Pancake I ate for lunch......Who the hell cares about the video quality, this is old footage but it's Jimi.

  • @johnebeaty1 He's playing with one hand playing notes theres so much volume just the pressure of his finger on the string gets the note to sound

  • What the fuck was that at the start? I almost fell off my chair

  • Hendrix is god

  • Notice at one point he's not picking, but the music keeps playing? Clapton is still God.

  • @johnebeaty1 Sustain I guess haha

  • @johnebeaty1 That, and various lead vocals when he's nowhere near the mic. Definitely not the audio from this concert.

  • @1957pinup you're so wrong. So at the beginning of the show when he said plug you're ears three times, he happened to do the exact same thing on a different recording at exactly the same time? And the audio to this matched up exactly with the timing of so-called "other recording"? Like it didn't eventually get off sync towards the end of the song? You're nuts. The audio isn't sync'd up perfectly but this is definitely the audio from this show.

  • @johnebeaty1 No buddy. When he's reaching for another pick he's playing the guitar with one hand. He did it on purpose too. See him showboating waving his hand like a windmill at 1:04

  • That is so fuck!n cool when he starts the solo without a pick and gestures to the roadie to get him another one.

  • He played this like a day after the song was released by the Beatles! So ballsy! I think the beatles were in the crowd watching too!

  • @InnerPeaceRecordings A week after the album was released and it was Harrison and McCartney who were present they actually applauded his version.

  • This makes my dick move every time

  • Wow , and 4 Marshall fullstacks on that show only for him - that must be mindblasting

  • He played some Beatles songs live more early than the Beatles themself !

  • Throws down cigarette just in time, yells "HEY!", blows my mind.

  • I love that "God bless you all" in the beginning and the way mitch count's into the song

    Thank you

  • no one is worthy to string his............

  • This was recorded 22 of december 1967. What Paul Mccartney is refering too was at the Saville theater several months prior to this which was not filmed or recorded.

  • i cant believe that hendrix plays that bit 1:07 to 1:13 with one hand O_O

  • @bigmatt9494

    me either. just amazing

  • Did you know that says "watch out for your ears" because in the audience were John Lennon and George Harrison who had gone to see the concert and did not know what 's going to make it ... the album was released only 3 days before!... Great Beatles! Great Jimi Hendrix! :D

  • @fraSuper Actually, it was Paul 'n George that went. Either way, I would have felt honored to be covered by the one 'n only. :)

  • I didnt watch out for my ears - now my mind has been blown again by Mr. Jimi............

  • Oh my god... this is the pinnacle of REAL rock history. To hell with the last 40 years.

  • @twezzo99 id put A Day in The Life as the pennicle but this is close

  • Room Full of Mirrors: A Jimi Hendrix Biography, Talks to a lot of close people in his life. Its fantastic. It talks about this show actually if you want to read about it. Yes, the album, Sgt Peppers, had just come out 3 days before this and they opened their show with this. The Bealtes Loved it. Their Manager owned the venue

  • can you only imagine being the guy that handed Jimi the pick at 1:05 were are these people and their stories

  • mindsaber...you are mistaken. this is the christmas on earth show december 67. sgt pepper was released in june of 67, and that was when the beatles saw him. hendrix had this song on his set list since then i thought so myself, but i did the math. either way, this version has been my favorite since i was a kid

  • @TXampheat You are absolutely correct,I was at that show,I am just to the left of stage as you look, also on the bill were Pink Floyd with Sid`s last performance(or non performance that night),show started at 8-00pm on Friday the 22nd and ended at approx 6-00am on Saturday the 23rd,such memories.

  • @jessiestips

did u watch out for your ears? i cant imagine how loud that musta been

  • Comment removed

  • This is a very special show. John n' Paul were in the audience- the album had released just a few days prior, if I'm not mistaken.

  • hahaha I can imagine this put q face when he saw paul jimi

was playing the song of Sgt Pepper is a of this aver shit

poor paul beatles Llosa made a good song but the super jimi hendrix
