  • Aiido sucks!

  • Wauw , steven has gone really fat.

  • I bet he kick the sensei on the nuts after he try to get up!

Is aikido is as good as is movies!

that technique is call MORON NAGE

  • haha like to see you do better

  • no really? when did he die? no shit

  • are u shittin me???

  • did he die?? I thought he was still doing movies?? I thought I saw him in the supermarket last week?

  • hilarious !

  • Steven Seagal would probably agree that he can't take Bruce Lee...

  • I LIKE STEVEN SEAGAL

  • BRUCE LEE WOULD OWN BOTH OF THEM

  • You know he really was one of the kings of MMA. He was good on the screen, but so many people do not know how good he really was on the street

  • yeah he is one of a few people i really look up to

  • no he wouldn't. he's dead

  • I too am a student of Luis Santos Sensei and he is in fact a 6th Dan (RenShi)now and accredited by the Dai Nippon Butoku Kai, Honbu, Kyoto, Japan. As a matter of fact, some of us were in Japan recently, attending the Butoku Kai held by the Dai Nippon Buttoku Kai. Our guys did well, very well. Shoubukan dojo means the Hall of Stressing the Truth and Spirit of Martial Way, please feel free to come to Orlando to train with us and you judge first hand and in person rather than spewing some crap.

  • Bla bla bla... Belts are meant for keeping up the pants and ranks only exist to let you know who's in charge. There are no sifus, senseis or masters all are guides basically. Let these guides or teachers teach or guide you to become your own greatest sifu, sensei or what you'd like to call it.

  • hahaha! sweet.

  • A rank/belt is merely a system of stages in your learning experience of a particular martial art & the recognition of such. In upholding Tradition, before you can advance to a more complex/sophisticated level of training, you would had to have met the requirements of a previous rank; In addition, absorbed the elements of a previous stage of training before you can move up a rank or belt.

  • True a teacher is a guide, and his rank with belt, represents the progressive stage that for years he has earned and merits. Other lower ranks, must observe his seniority and grant the utmost respect.

  • damn, seeing a future sensei getting pwned in the past is always sweet to watch.

  • calderon is a great teacher, dont listen to these people given him disrespect.

  • Too bad Calderon Sensei is no longer a student of Seagal Sensei's. Just start teaching aikido, and stop trying to live off of someone else's fame.

  • Come experience Calderon Sensei's Aikido for yourself Sept. 14-16 at a seminar in Chico, CA 530-893-5821. Learn, enjoy, & come to your own conclusions!

  • Go to steven seagal official page and go to the martial arts page. There you will find a link at the bottom left side of the page that say's "Martial arts teachers endorsed by Steven. Find Calderons name on the list, you won't.

  • Still haven't gotten the whole "budo" thing...

  • takeda32, you have no honor, no integrity! You & your instructor should rightfully feel ashamed. Perhaps you should meditate on the concept of budo a bit longer... Good luck, we all need practice to become respectful AND respectable.

  • I think if anyone reads more carefully Sensei says he is the only student 'currently teaching'.

I have been to one of his seminars, I can assure you Sensei Calderon learn from Seagal well, and is an excellent teacher.

  • Agreed! See at the seminar this September?

  • take the blue pill

  • Hey it's Bullshitrone Sensei, the guy that claims he's the only student of Steven Seagal..lol

  • takeda32, you have no honor, no integrity! You & your instructor should rightfully feel ashamed. Perhaps you should meditate on the concept of budo a bit longer... Good luck, we all need practice to become respectful AND respectable.

  • Tellme Jason what is budo? Do you really know the meaning of budo, I wonder?

  • A quite literal translation (looking at the kanji characters BU & DO) is often interpreted to be, "the way to stop the spear". This can be reasonably extrapolated to mean a method of ENDING CONFLICT. That does NOT have to imply destroying a person, ie, that actual attacker.

Are you interested in ENDING or PROMOTING conflict? Your comments seem to answer this question already.

    Keep studying Budo...

  • Hey Jason, the characters imply can also be read as using the spear to stop violence, or attack. It is the classical term used to describe PROFESSIONAL WAR craft, as opposed to what civilians practice, which is BUGEI. Study up little buddy. BTW the fact that Calderon is deceiving people is on his conscience. I've been through the fire. Or do you know what THAT means. Probably not. Stop the ridiculous American approach of making everything Japanese so damn perfect and Zen-like.

  • There are interpretations, normal for anything translated. You & I have no clue about what each of the other has been through in life. I don't even know your real name. You know mine, though. Calderon Sensei would likely discuss any issue you have honestly, openly and directly. He's easy to talk to and easy to find (as am I, actually) at his dojo. Honestly, I'm not sure what you mean about making Japanese things perfect and zen-like. Perhaps we can all train together someday?!

  • how recent was this video?

  • Keviinn, this video was taken on a Saturday in April, 2002. Sensei wore brown on Sunday. Those present were Eliott Freeman of St. Louis, Jaime, and Luis Santos from Orlando.

  • Luis Santos is not a real 5th dan .

  • Technically, you're not correct. Luis got his shodan from Saotome's Shindai Aikido Dojo Orlando, FL.Then got nidan/sandan from AAA. Then forged 4th dan paperwork, using forms he got from Seagal Sensei when Luis' student, Pilar F. "passed" his shodan test in April, 2002. 2004 is when Luis submitted forged yondan paper for himself, and shodan paperwork for his other student, JC Hernandez. He THEN tried to make everyone think that JC had been promoted through AAA, Andy Sato, which is NOT TRUE.

  • Continuing, Luis THEN went to Dai Nippon Butoku Kai and was accepted as a member through a connection, and got his 5th dan from DNBK, NOT the Aikikai. Aikikai is aware, but doesn't seem interested in doing anything about it. Whatever. Rank doesn't mean anything anyway.

  • well 4th w/e they didnt take it away cuz the grandson sign it . even thou Seagal told the aikikai ,they still didnt do anything bout it.

  • you are correct. It would show that Doshu was "less than perfect", and reflect badly. Their answer to Seagal Sensei was "be more careful next time", thus the letter on his website. The ranking system is crap anyway. NOthing to do with measuring capability. The only test is when you actually have to use it.

  • i aggree, who are you under?

  • I am independent. I have no desire to be a part of such a system that is ridiculous enough to have no standard. Aikikai paperwork means nothing. I've seen excellent shodans, and TERRIBLE rokudans. Proof is in the pudding. I have a small grouping of students, and I follow Tenshin Methodology, but it's not the only way. I laugh at all these guys clamoring for Seagal. He's great, but he's not the only guy doing really good aikido. In fact, he really hasn't taught since he left Japan. More on that.
