Ask yourself at the time 2:30 what memory and emotional state is Shannon recalling, just when she smiles, think about it ... and Steve knows it too, after all he is directing her.

He has masterfully created an "anchor" for himself so he can "trigger" this emotional state in her again, at a future time when she's not in trance. So she now starts feeling these emotions when he touches her shoulder and it feels natural to her, feeling them around him. Niece one Master Jones !

I like this. The imagery and suggestion is pretty good and it can be used pretty much anytime. I wouldn't quite classify this as an instant induction though. Although I really like it because you probably get more success with the average joe with it because of the fairly clever imagery. It can apply to just about anyone.
