no its is one person playing on four acounts, and because they are on the same arena team they get the same # of points they can all go buy the new piece of gear, but if he wants any PvE gear he has to have it drop 4 times, once for each character.

If you quad-box, you can have a second player play the 5th character and heal. If you quintuple box, you also control the healer. It's a lot harder to set up macros effectively for 4 DPS and a healer than it is to just find a 5th person to heal.
