This is a short advertising film featuring the vocal group "Quartetto Cetra", probably made in the 1960s to be shown in movie theaters (in Italy there was no color TVat the time, and TV commercials for motor vehicles were also not allowed then...).

Looks kind of prophetic in showing characters from places where Lambretta scooters were to become very popular (the Scotsman for the UK, the Chinese for the Far East, the Indian for southeast Asia, etc.).

I HAD A LI150 in 1973 always broke down,in fact I had to jump start it going down a hill every morning,I sold it for fifteen quid.Last year I was 50 and bought a Vespa 125 scooter,starts with the push of a button and never ever breaks down,times change..its a funny old world!

i ride a completely unrestored '63 Vespa and it starts up everytime. But this commercial ad for Lambretta is REALLY ANNOYING to me, which is totally unrelated to my choice of ride, by the way. UGH, just grating on my nerves! If this were an ad for Vespa I'd still hate it!

well.... i work with lambrettas & they are very close to my heart.. all i can say is that the indian spares are rubbish! & i would opt for a genuine ital part every time..( however electronic stators are a good thing.. even though ive had to send a few back coz they dont work.. & yes they have to be rewired to the correct colours)! oh yeah .. horn switches are shite too! cheers!

bought my first lambretta in 1985 an sx200, had every model since, there all ultra unreliable and break down with shocking regularity. even when you spend thousands on kits and stuff they still sieze and blow up. my recently restored indian gp, sil 200 engine electronic , is the best lambretta i have ever owned, . a scooters a scooter a lambretta no matter where its born is always a lambretta, better on the road running than an exibit in a garage.
