  • The funny thing is he was right about the James may thing

  • that was amazing!

  • LMFHO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Just wait till he finds out that the new Airfix Spitfire is actually Jewish ..... and Communist!

  • Well, he's right about the Hobbyboss spitfire canopies...

  • LOL! LOL! LOL! The best Hitler parody by far IMHO! "I may just as well sell my airbrush on ebay!" rotfl! Classic! Very well done indeed!

  • Very cool comedy 10 out of 10

  • I'm surprised this is on You Tube. All the other versions--stock market crash, real estate crash, wanting a Toyota, were removed because they were insensitive? This one is especially offensive because the best kits are the Stukas and the DO-X.. Forget the Spitfires !

    HB

  • WANT A SPITFIRE,GET ONE OFF THE INTERNET!!!

  • @levelat350 In those days the intrnet was in black and white (ROFL)

  • what about a messerschmitt lol, there german, and they look cool, ehh, ehhhh

  • hay hitler, MUSTANG! LOL!

i would not say the mustang is not a good fighter, but i am sure you where only joking, as that is a common stereotype for some people who like spitfires.

  • Good one :)

  • Do not fear, I shall re-supply Berlin with Spitfire kits, now, how to get them there? (See's DC-3 kit, pulls out Glue, file and cutters).

  • The Russians have lend-lease Airfix Spitfire LOL

  • HAHAHA this is the best parody i have ever seen (ROFL)

  • This was hilarious. Either CurtisWildebeest is a scale modeler or has the research skills of one to make this work so well.

The way "Der Fuhrer" was ranting, you would think that someone told him he could have one only if he finished it in aftermarket Israeli decals . . . .

    Good job. Added to favorites.

  • @modelermark172 Well, I am a scale modeller.. and I had intended to post it on my modelling channel, but the fear of the copyright trolls made me post it here instead.. :)

  • I have a Spitfire Mk IX. I'll hope that Hitler not will come and knock on my door to night:)

    Amazing video it is awesome!

  • @SpitfireEN398 Ha ha ha ha.. I think you'll be safe from Hitler.. :) :) Just make sure your door is locked.. :) :) Thanks for liking the video.. CurtisW / BasicM

  • @wammyburger Yes... :)

  • #LOL

  • i have 3000 of themwffr23

  • i have 3000 of them

  • Brilliant!

  • Herr Furher..might I suggest a vintage Monogram B-17 in 1/48scale?...no need to worry about research, we can just go outside and look up.:)

  • Rob this was the funniest SH*T I have seen on any modeling channel, it made my day to see this. Im still laughing out loud."Even Stalin built one" classic.....

  • ok, but.......I'm pretty sure Spitfire in German sounds like spitfire in English. Maybe schpitfire. This is actually a very good movie.

  • Why build Airfix when you got Revell or Hobbyboss, Hitler?

  • Oh, so Hitler thinks that he can dis the hurricane and get away with it. I bet that's why he lost world war II. Go Hurricane!

  • @password1821 My brother is evil. He is obsessed with the Hurricane. How did he even get access to my youtube account?

  • LMAO!!

  • This is hilariously finny!!!!!! "What about the Revell Spit' "

"They're all xxxxxx sold out as well!!!!!!!!!"

"Well at least the xxxxxxxxx canopies fit better on Revell!!!!!"

    :D:D:D:D:D:D

This is prob. your best video!!!!

  • @2002And what about the Revell P1099A Luft 46 kit??

sold out and out of production!! hehe

    anyway COOL video!

  • He can borrow my spare one, dont tell him i replaced it's gear with Mustang gear...

  • That ist verrry great and so much funny!!!^^ ... although it irritates me understanding what he REALLY says...

  • quality vid

  • dont cry.. your secret spitfire kit is safe with me... XDDDD

  • @elvis8tweeter I didn't know they had allowed this video again.. That is good news.. :)

  • Watch while you can, YouTube will ban it soon.. :)

  • LoL he is very nervous about his Mk.IX :) :)

  • @tankman13p66 haha yeah

How about Airfix or Valom HAMPDEN???

this is hard to find now especially airfix

  • @tankman13p66 same as me about my 1/72 HP Hampden hehe

but i GOT it!!!!!!! and now in progress

  • lol James May...

  • Haaaa-ha-ha!!! probably for him heartburn from hasegawa

  • This is sick, amazing video, sooo funny lol :-) watching this has made my day :-D

  • @sam123738 Ha ha ha ha.. Glad you liked it.. I just wish I had posted it on the modelling channel instead.. but never mind.. :)

  • The best ''Untergang'' parody for modellers :) I can stop watching this :D

  • @Virlando2 Thank you .. :) :)

  • "The Mustang is not a plane....I WANT A SPITFIRE!" lololol

  • That's true, though... :) :)

  • He hate Thunderbolts :-)

  • Comment removed

  • ..with a passion!! :)

  • you should send that in too top gear and have james may him self watch it that would be class and well done with the subtitales with the speach very good work

  • Thank you.. it was fun to make, my only regret concidering that this video seems to be catching on with the views, is that I didn't post it on my modelling channel.. :)

  • np well to me it seemed very good and well i never knew hitler has such power over ppl with the one pulling on his collor like i could imagen if hed had wanted a submarine for his birthday and he got a tank insted i think that would make a great new one from me personaly

  • Nice idea.. I'll bear it in mind.. :)

  • Even Stalin has built one :)

  • He got his first!! :)

  • Well Done! Bravo.

  • Thank you very much.. :)

  • hilarious!

you realy hawe out done your self bravo! :)

    hahaha! :D

  • Thank you, glad it made you laugh.... I have actually posted a building review of the Airfix IX on BasicModelling just a few minutes ago.. :) :)

  • Priceless!!!

  • Thank you.. most kind!! :)

  • i still laugh every time i watch this. my model group online are the ones that got me to this channel. hilarious indeed.

  • Thank you.. I only wish I had posted it on my modelling channel, it might have given me a few subs... :) :)

  • Wow.. I've found a link to this on EVERY modelling forum I am on! Way to go!! You're awesome, Rob..!

  • I just wish I had posted it on Basic now... :) Glad the word is spreading, though... :)

  • I guess I should have posted it on my modelling channel instead.. :) I wish I had now... :)

  • Glad you found it amusing.. :)

  • Great job!

  • Thank you.. :)

  • I'd think he'd prefer a nice Revell/Germany Messerchmitt. In 1/72 of course.

  • No, he already has 3 of those.. all painted with the Defence of the Reich fuselage bands..

  • He is tired after 3 of those, but not after 43 Spitfires???

  • I guess he had his preferences.. :)

  • Maybe his allies should have sent him a shipment of Tamiya kits.

  • @Grendelrex : Yes, and not just planes either. Better throw in at least one '66 VW Beetle before he builds the diorama of the Wolfsburg factory around the Revell '68 bug!

  • Oh, I ka 'air - after all, Stalin did 1 whole self without help!!

  • Yes, he snitched the last kit.. right under the nose of Herr H..

  • ha-ha-ha-ha-ah...aajjjahhhhh... 5 *****

  • Not too painful, I hope... :)

  • Finally, there is an appropriate use of the Hitler video...LOL!

  • Thank you very much.. :)

  • Someone posted the link on The Airfix Tribute Forum.

Believe me many of us over there have experienced the frustration of 'The James May Effect'.

It's not just the new Spit either, it's still difficult even now to get hold of any Airfix kit even from their own website.

  • Fame at last... :) But yes, that effect is lingering a bit.. still, it's hopefully good for Airfix, and that should hopefully be good for the rest of us in the long run! I just wish I had posted this on my dedicated modelling channel now instead.. but I had copyright concerns and didn't want to get into trouble in case YouTube protested.. .. :)

  • Only for the Spitfire Mk.IX....

  • Yes.. :)

  • LMAO. This is easily the best Hitler video on youtube!

  • Thank you very much.. :)

  • Lol. ive seen many versions of this clip, this is one of the best :D

  • Thank you.. :) It's picking up views slowly but constantly.. :)

  • Sieg Ha!

  • Smile Hitler ;D

  • Ha ha ha ha.. :)

  • This is awesome! The first hitler translation THAT IS ACTUALLY FUNNY!! GREAT JOB!!!

  • Thank you very kindly... :) :)

  • Hehehehe! Very good and funny :D

  • Glad you liked it.. :) :)

  • hey. you are cheating. i understand what they are saying. it does not match the subtitles. hahahaha

  • Ha ha ha ha.. I had a feeling it wouldn't match, somehow.. :) :)

  • that is what makes it interesting. it is funny

  • This is a excellent film, Downfall. it took me many days to watch it as there is so much going on in it, really amazing film done on a tiny budget.

Some scenes in this film stick in your mid forever, it was made by German producers. Must have really been important for them to do.

The best German WW2 film by far, thank god hollywood had no part to play in it.

  • Yes it does have that sense of authenticity being German. Some facts were changed, Hitlers secretary did not escape Berlin in real life but was captured and mistreated by Russian soldiers. Still a fascinating film though.

  • I have never seen it, but I will try and get hold of a copy now.. :)

  • It is a must watch film.

Try to get the version which has the 'making of' this film, and watch the part about the actor who plays Hitler.

If you do find the film I warn you it is very heavy viewing, and amazing insight into a piece of history which has been drawn up very carefully via this film.

  • I'm Swedish.. I grew up with Ingmar Bergman.. it can't surely be heavier than that.. :)

  • LOL GODD VERY GOOD - spitfire mk 1x

ill shoot next one who mentions P51.

    TJ

  • Thank you.. :)

  • awesome!!!!!!!

  • Little bit of quiet modelling comedy.. :)

  • Quite random, eh.. :)

  • Excellent dialogue, Rob! Be careful with those overly accurate ant literal translations! You may get your poetic license suspended :) :) :)

  • I meant "and" after accurate and before literal...

Damn accents keep on surfacing when I least expect them to...

  • Dat iz perrfektlee okee.. :)

  • lol :D

  • Thank you.. :)

  • LOL LOL

  • Ha ha ha ha.. :) Thanks for popping round.. :)

  • Do NOT stand between this man and his hobby.

Of course, he could have saved his blood pressure and maybe shopped ebay...?

    LOL

  • Ha ha ha ha.. well, at the end he decided to sell his airbrush there.. :) I have started on ebay, but it's frustrating because all the kits I want have already passed thgeir last bid date.. :P I found a nice Gladiator the other day, and bought it succesfully.. only to find out that it will be re-issued in the summer anyway.. no doubt for half the price to what I paid.. :) Never mind.. :)

  • But you have it NOW, that's what matters ;) Who is reisuing - revell?

  • Yes, FINALLY!!! Trouble is, I don't really need any more kits now.. But perhaps I will not build my Matchbox original after all, just buy a couple of the Revell kits and be happy.. eh?? :)

  • Nice, I wonder what decals it comes with? I get the feeling I won't be going back to to plastic anytime soon so no more kits either, the depron is just too addictive ;)

  • A nice Maltese Gladiator would be most welcome, as I do want to build a RAF Glad too.. but otherwise I do want to build another standard Swedish plane, a Norwegian version and most of all a Swedish volunteer flying for the Finns.. :0)

They did so remarkably well.. :)

  • I'm sure you could find a scheme for Swedish volunteers online, and perhaps paint and mask the symbols? If you do maltese make sure you get it right, you wouldn/t want the Maltese cross would you? ;) If I do a foamie glad it will be James Pattle's plane :)

  • I have at least 2 lots of decals for the Swedish volunteers.. one set comes with the Heller kit, and I also got another (better) set with the resin skis et.c that I bought so I'm ok for decals.. no need to mask anything!! As for the Maltese Gladiator, you get all the decals you need with the Airfix kit.. ordinary RAF roundels! I want to make the later mark, with the 3-bladed prop.. just to make it different from the others.. :) None of them will be exactly the same.. :)

  • Foamie biplanes sound complicated.. :)

  • I'm currently realising that as the RC parts are a tad heavy for the SE.5. Might become a rubber band version.

  • I like rubber engines... :)

  • Yes they are excellent and simple, as long as there are fuselage or engine pods long enough to fit plenty rubber inside. I.e. A Lancaster or DC3 would not accomodate much length between the prop and rear rubber hook :(

  • No, I guess not... I'd love to make a rubber engine Hurricane at some point.. :)

  • Well if you ever get that urge, Guillows do a nice, widely available kit in balsa (only need PVA and Klear to dope the tissue). I could even send you high quality rubber strip if needed ;)

  • I'd love to.. and I probably will, at some point!! Not sure where to fly it though, now Boxted's no longer available for that sort of thing.. :(

  • If you trim it right with rudder you can fly on the front lawn ;)

  • It will have to be very tight turns, then.. :) The Country Park is probably a better option.. as long as I can run faster than the local dogs.. :)

  • Woof woof, munch munch! Have the same problem in my park...

  • It wouldn't be a problem as long as they kept the dogs on leads.. I think the area where I could possibly fly is a 'leads on' zone anyway, but that doesn't mean a thing.. :)

  • If you have ever seen the film featured in your video above you may have noticed Hitlers unique method of dealing with dogs ;)

  • No, and I can't find the video in question either.. :P

  • I recommend you rent 'the downfall', it is a good film in its own right besides the parodies. Before Hitler tops himself he gives his dog Blondi a pill, and you hear it 'plonk' onto the floor :) I thought it was pretty funny at the time.

  • Oh I see.. I thought you were referring to one of the videos that YouTube have 'attached' to this one... like they do.. :)

  • I regret I did not phrase it korektly mein modellbaufuhrer ;)

  • Now I will go and check if you have finally allowed the Wildebeest response to your pie video.. :)

  • YOU made that? That is the BEST i have seen of these yet! I don't like these Hitler spoofs, but this one was just the best...!!! Thank you!!!

  • I did indeed.. but I didn't risk popsting it on Basic.. even if admittedly it would be more suited there.. and nobody has, to the best of my knowledge, covered Hitlers secret hobby yet.. until now.. :) Glad you liked it.. :)

  • Ha ha ha ha.. just some gentle modelling humour.. :)

  • James May lol! I'm sure hitler could have got a Hasegawa model from emperor Hirohito if he just asked ;)

"Your secret kit is safe with me" Genius, complete and utter ;)

  • Thank you, a very kind comment!! And totally unexpected.. :)

  • Ha! One of the bet versions of this ever!

  • Thank you.. It was a bit of fun... :) :)

  • HA HA HA HA HA!!!

Absolutely brilliant. Specially that it's not a Messerschmidt. ;^)

  • That was the whole point... that he liked to build Spitfires!! And the fact that they did sell out for a while, after the TV-programme.. :) It stopped me from getting one.. :)

  • I want to fill James May's doorlock with superglue too! It's sickening, the fun that lot have.

  • ..and they get paid too!! Unheard of.. :) :)

  • He is going to blow a fuse and all that about a toy, doesn't he learn anything at all?

  • No, that was his downfall.. :)

  • This was brilliant. To think that Airfix was his downfall!

  • Not many people know that.. :)

  • Surely he could have traded Poland for the kit he wanted:)

  • Seeing his desperation it probably would have been a good deal, as far as he was concerned.. :)

  • ah, the big word, IF...happened to GWBush as well :)

  • What, he run out of Airfix kits as well.. That Obamama is a sneaky fellow.. :0)

  • but Obama will revive the Airfix models....there's change in the air :)))

  • There's change all over the floor, I just dropped my wallet.. :)

  • change we can breathe in?

  • lol
