  • the audiences chittering and giggling pisses me off.

  • I thank god everyday that he made me an atheist.

  • Please God, make another Htchens? We won't have another like you for a while.

  • Who will show the likes of Teresa in their proper light now? I think we're just beginning to fathom who we've lost. The world needs a replacement. That damned guy has left us.

  • uncannily smooth operator.

how dare you how dare you...aren't those your favourite words..

    how dare you leave?

  • i miss this guy!

  • @TheLovesoul1 Same as me. RIP The man of logic.

  • What an irritating audience

  • @DeoMachina yeah, absolute idiots.

  • where can i find the version of this video?

  • tackle M Theresa as in a missionary position?

  • "Fair-mindedness and balanced"... LOL. Nice use of words..

  • I'm sure Mother Teresa loved the missionary position.

  • he looks like a normal dude in this... i miss him :(

  • If anyone denies this, they should google the words 'Mother Teresa Home Abuse and Neglect'. There is some serious imagery of kids being tied to chairs, and even a few videos floating around.

  • Thank you Christopher: watch?v=HJlyfP9I-lE

  • Faith is a license to look no further.

  • wow and what has hitchens done personally to help the poor compared to mother teresa? other than pull conspiracy theories out of his cancerous ass which any tom dick and harry can do while have little tea party audiences laugh pretentiously at lines that arent even remotely humerous? did his logic and reasoning do anything to cure the world of poverty? stupid idiot. what a waste of fucking time.

  • @6gunwalker

It's unknown if Hitch gave money to charity, either he didn't or he did and didn't feel the need to brag about it or build a career on it like Mother Theresa. That's the point you're missing. MT was canonized on the backs of the suffering and dying. She believed (I won't use the words "thought" or "felt") that poverty was noble. MT did not help the poor, so much as use them for advertising.

  • @lDrownded2 prove to us that mother teresa made a career out of the charities of the poor? prove it.... dont just jump on the hitchens bandwagon and repeat what he says prove it.. you like most people think highly of idiots like hitchens who carelessly demote real people like mother teresa who do real work for real underprivilaged folx in real situations with baseless assumptions that a 10 yr old can fabricate. all hitchens did in his life was try and prove to every1 hw smart he was.

  • @6gunwalker

By your wording, you prove that Fundies are like an ugly lottery ticket, when you scratch under the surface you find the hateful, brutal and stupid thing underneath. It's not so much that Ch wasn't funny as his humor was too smart for you. That's why you say "pretentious" and your kind complain about intellectual elites. You choose faith over logic and see being an imbecil is a virtue.

  • @lDrownded2 wrong asumption, your little attempt to try and stereotype me just made me scoff! lol the fact that i hit a nerve with you when i stated my opinion of what a waste of time hitchens was tells me that youre another who thinks that hitchens bovine scatology is the bottom line.. lol good luck to you traveller, you have much to learn than to just see life through a microscope.

  • Poverty is a gift from God? I wonder how'd she justify that with the conditions of the Pope.

  • I have read about many logical fallacies. But the one about how we can't criticise MT unless we get our asses down to India and start a hospice escapes me. Can anyone enlighten me on this?

  • @shaneho78 I don't know the truth, but one one theory I have read on a few occations was that she was a sociopath. She want the fame and the sainthood. One english reporter offered to take a boy in the dying room , to the hopital, inciting he had a very fixable problem. It was reported by this reporter that she refused and wanted only he picture taken with him under the ïm on my way to heaven sign"in her death room. The church managed her for publicity.

  • truth always hurts...dont it ???

  • He was my hero :(

  • Where was this filmed?

  • @CreativeFilmMaker Up your ass

  • @Zachdudeio2 what?

  • @CreativeFilmMaker It was filmed up yo ass son! haha

  • Interesting ANTICHRIST ways about trying to destroy JESUS CATHOLIC CHURCH. By the way, isn't Hitchens the ever WAITED BEAST or WAITED ANTICHRIST with TONGUE POWER to try to destroy JESUS CATHOLIC CHURCH?

  • @antoniomiguelito Go research it for yourself. or carry on following blindly, your call really.

  • Hitchens is just another Fundie jack@ss like Jerry Falwell, only from the other side.

  • Christopher Hitchens has to be the greatest comic genius of this millenium!

  • Someone must have hurt Mr Hitchens pride, ego and self-esteem deeply once upon a time. That's why he harbours such intentions... This is purely attention-catching and a way he earns a living. :)

  • @angyeekiang

    And entirely accurate, to boot.

  • @BelieveandtrustJesus at least people will remember him and be inspired by him in generations to come. when you die, nobody will give a shit, douchebag.

  • Fuck all you catholic haters. Momma Teresa is a fuckin saint. in fact shes a demi god. BTW there is no such thing as child abuse inside the Church of Rome, it is all LIES!!! Catholic church is INFALLABLE you bastard cunts. Crawl on your bellys before the Blessed Virgin Mary and WEEP AND BEG for her mercy!!!

    Up the IRA

  • @VATICANVEVO she's a demi-god? i thought catholicism was a monotheistic religion :/

  • So I can't type, *Hitchens*

  • @BelieveandtrustJesus ..Serious? Hithcnes has cancer? If so, maybe he can call on the God he claims doesn't exist, and ask for mercy. Maybe he gets saved, in the end. THAT is the real miracle

  • @skaha77 Sir: If you believe that Christopher Hitchens is going to renounce his atheism, "see the light" and accept Jesus Christ as his own personal saviour, at some point between now and the end of his life, then I strongly suspect that you are going to be disapppointed. The fact of the matter is that 'Hitch' is one of the strongest and most confident atheists on this planet today (as well as one of the most well-known and respected).

    Have a nice day, sir.

  • @TheEctomorph So WAS Saul of Tsarsus.. aka the Prophet Paul. He truly did 'see the light' and went on to write half the N.T. You are putting limits on God. ...and my day is going just fine

  • @skaha77 I am glad to hear it, sir.

I do not mean to appear churlish, but I very much doubt whether Saul of Tsarsus was ever an ATHEIST. Atheists were very few and far between - if indeed they existed at all - in that part of the world, at that particular time. I am no scholar of religion or The 'Good Book', but I think it likely that Saul believed in the existence of the JEWISH God - before his conversion to Christianity on the road to Damascus, that is.

  • @TheEctomorph Could be. He was at one time, a legalist. his thing was to persecute the believers.. anyhow, Hitchens has the personality of a dead fish

  • @BelieveandtrustJesus apparently God doesn't love his neighbours. and why are there children living in Christian families dying at the age of 2 of cancer? always ask the corrobory question buddy!

  • @BelieveandtrustJesus Even if there is a God of some sort (which personally I doubt), it doesn't necessarily mean that mankind is a "fallen" species. Mr Darwin's theory of evolution - which has now been virtually proven - points inexorably to the conclusion that there is NO TRUTH WHATSOEVER in the old myth about Adam & Eve, The Garden of Eden, the talking serpent and all that

Original sin and the fallen nature of man is just a MTYH. Deal with it.

  • @TheEctomorph You will bow to jesus someday, and will confess that Jesus Christ is LORD,. to the glory of God, the father. Hitchens will do the same, whether he likes thie idea or not.

  • @skaha77 Can you prove that, you devout, bible-thumping Christian? No, I didn't think you could.

Oh, and just one more thing, sir: What if the Islamic faith (and not Christianity) turns out to be the one true path to the Almighty - as approximately 1,000,000,000 people on this planet appear to believe? If the religious beliefs of these people are, in fact, correct, then it means that you - and millions of your fellow devout, bible-thumping Christian 'fundies' are destined

  • @skaha77 [Continuing on from my previous 'post' about devout, bible-thumping Christians who believe that THEIR religion is vastly superior to all other faiths] to roast in Hell-fire for literally BILLIONS AND BILLIONS OF YEARS ... INDEED FOR ETERNITY.

A decidedly disconcerting and unpleasant thought, eh?

    Have a nice day, sir.

  • @BelieveandtrustJesus STFU ... you bigoted, twisted, athiest hating Christian numpty. The fact that Professor Hitchens is suffering from cancer HAS NOTHING WHATSOEVER TO DO WITH HIS ATHEISM.

Surely you are aware that, at this very moment, there are thousands - if not tens of thousands - of deeply religious Christians suffering from cancer (and that is just in Great Britain). What is more, many of those seriously ill people are WAY younger than Professor Hitchens.

  • This guy never met MT, never been to her place of establishments, and he doesn't have any resources other than a doctor who left MT because he wanted to run things his way and turn it into a business.

If this guy can even do what MT did he'll have my respect. Other than that he's nothing more than a drug addict seeking fame.

  • Hitchens is ok, but Bill O Reilly is something else

  • @BelieveandtrustJesus uhm, okey, do i need to enlighten you that god fearing people get cancer everyday ? I guess so.

  • @BelieveandtrustJesus Wow, how very Christian of you. Indeed.

  • @SirGrowalott

Most spiritual people can comprehend Karma. I don't wish death on him, but he has spent his life ridiculing people who are usually not there to defend themselves.

  • @BelieveandtrustJesus

Thats a disgusting and horrible thing to say about a fellow human being, and could only come from a person of religious faith, shame on you.

  • It is interesting to see you foreigners quarrelling over mother teresa. She spent most of her life in India and we Indians know her better. She was a first rated fraud who cheated the poor to make money through donations. There are better and sincere social workers in India who selflessly spend their livelihood on others without taking a single rupee as donation. Dont glorify her deeds in the name of religion without knowing the facts.

    i

  • Only very well respected speakers can get away with smoking on camera like that.

  • 3:20 he is incorrect in claiming that there is 1 known cure for poverty. Have a look at the Mormons. Furthermore the real cure for poverty is education.

  • What does he say after "tenderness"?

  • @kinneyesq I searched around and I think it's the German word "puder", which has to do with finely ground materials or crushed metal. I think he's referring to a refined, proper way of speaking, which is obviously joking about given his fairly blunt manner of putting things.

  • Comment removed

  • @kinneyesq I think he said "pruder", don't really know with the accent.

  • Yet another Christian fraud exposed!

  • even if she was a "fraud" according to this guy.....she still did a hell of a lot more than this capitalist fool.....

  • Typical protestant bullshit.Always slandering catholics.

  • @Paintballerfromhell1 Slander : a malicious, false, and defamatory statement or report:. Note the word FALSE. come back when you can prove anything he said is false until then you can return to your bronze age cave.

  • @KillTheStranger Have you read the news for the last 30 years? It's always the English talking shit about catholics.

  • @Paintballerfromhell1 thought i told you to go back to your cave.

  • @KillTheStranger I'll stick to my 8 bedroom house at the Adriatic Sea.

  • @Paintballerfromhell1 Oh good. I'm happy for you. Now go and sunbathe and improve your tan and leave thinking to others.

  • @Paintballerfromhell1 He's not protestant

  • @Paintballerfromhell1 Christopher Hitchens is not a Protestant; he is an atheist, you muppet.

  • It baffles me that these people laugh when he calls her a fraud. He's fuckin' right!

  • @Jabberwockyjefferies he doesn't look so cool now, he's got oesophageal cancer and looks like a bald startled chicken.

  • No one would ever say Martin Luther King JR. was a fraud even though he was. I wish these people would be fair in their harsh judgements and not just attack certain ethnic groups.

  • @SylvianLight Though there are certainly legitimate objections to King's personal morality, such as the accusations of adultery, unpleasant demeanor, and self-importance, his campaign of non-violence and unity were anything but fraudulent. King did a lot of good in that regard, and unlike Mother Teresa, his personal life was separate from the goals he was trying to achieve and that for which he advocated.

King was not a hypocrite. Your analogy does not follow.

  • God is not great but Christpher Hitchens definitely is!

When he dies I will weep like lost child weeps for it's mother.

  • Where/when did this take place? Is there more? Thanks.

  • Edible: good to eat, and wholesome to digest, as a worm to a toad, a snake to a pig, a pig to a man, and a man to a worm. — Ambrose Bierce [1842-1914?]

  • Think of someone better to criticize then Mother Theresa

  • I would die to see Hitchens vs Louise Bagshawe and a never ending series of hitchslaps on Louise Bagshawe. please can anyone organize this?? i hate this arrogant stubborn bitch.

  • @Appyisfizz I don't blame you, sir. Ms Bagshawe is a pretty obnoxious character. Mind you, she is more than reasonably f***able too, judging by what I have seen of her on TV! (The old adage: "Good looks aren't everything" springs to mind when one is weighing up the merits - and shortcomings - of this blonde Catholic bint.)

  • smoke and die

  • Chris"Bulls-Eye"Hitchens FTW bishes!

  • @blueguitarblue

As you are brainwashed to modern religious thinking. Don't kid yourself that your anything like any of the early or mid Christians. Your morals, ethics and theology would be worlds apart. Hitchens knows he's brainwashed ( he wouldn't call it that ), you can't admit you are.

He just happens to brainwashed in a way that demands his views correspond with the observable facts.

  • @Graham6762

That's what I thought until I read the book. Its really obvious once it's pointed out. How did we not notice a woman who is given tens of millions a year for decades, didn't attempt to give treatment for curable ailments. That's what you get from somebody who believes death is only the beginning.

  • @Graham6762 Thats exactly the point, she didn't spend all her money on clinics or drugs to effectively treat those in her care.

  • Hitchens is the only person on the planet that I have ever seen who can make smoking look cool.

  • Religious belief is childish brainwashing.

  • Hitchen is brilliant. He tells it as it is. One cool dude.

  • @blueguitarblue It is clear to me that you have been bitten by the jesus bug. One question for you Sir, have you read all of the bible?. I'd advise you as a believer to go and kill all of the people that work on the sabbath day (sunday) and after you have killed all them people, come back to me and tell me how you feel. Also jesus said that in order to follow him you must sell "ALL" of your belongings, so after you do that to (which of course you wont,) come back to me and tell me how you feel.

  • @villian714 I shall pray for you.

  • @SirGrowalott Thanks a lot Brethren your prayers will be gladly accepted and I shall do the same for you.

    God Bless

  • @villian714 Oh Sunday is the Holiday because Constantine had to merge his old pagan traditions with the new religion for a smooth transition and acceptance by the people. So much of Christianity has pagan origins.

  • @adwarakanath So why not Monday or Thursday please state facts not gibberish. His mom St Helena was a Christian since his birth. Christianity was widely accepted but they where being persecuted and not until Constantine converted did those persecutions stop in the Edic of Milan.

Sunday is the Lords day and its been celebrated since the Resurrection of Jesus read the Book of Acts and educate your self and don't listen to nonsense.

    God Bless

  • @believeand trustjesus : Christopher Hitchens MERELY states the facts, those that had been hidden, those that have gone unnoticed, those that we didint notice at all because some of us WEAR blinders. PLS. LET US BE THINKING BEINGS..FREE THINKERS..INCREASE OUR BRAIN USAGE,STOP EMOTIONALITIES,INSECURITIES AND JUSTIFICATIONS. WE ATHEISTS DO NOT CLAIM WE ARE BETTER, OR THE BEST. NOR DO WE IMPOSE OR EVEN GET MAD, SAY ILL OF DETRACTORS? JUST WISH HIM WELL,IF YOU ARE TRUE TO YOUR RELIGION.

  • @SirGrowalott Well said, sir; well said indeed.

It was not for nothing that the late, great Isaac Asimov once described The 'Good Book' as the best advertisment for atheism ever produced!

  • @blueguitarblue Have you thought of getting an education and moving away from these fairy tales?Guess not....

  • @blueguitarblue It's Christopher - you mumbling twat

  • @blueguitarblue Hitchens was educated at a British public school and then Balliol College, Oxford (albeit in the 1960s), you fool.

  • @blueguitarblue faith cannot be strengthened by learning. faith is a belief in something for which there is no proof.

and or all your preaching, your character assasination and your name calling, you cannot disprove any of his points.

christianity is antiscience, anti investigation. GOD is ultimately a nonanswer that stops all investigation

  • @blueguitarblue a idiotic statement from a religious cretin .....

  • @blueguitarblue HAHAHAHHAHA! That is fucking hilarious. Christ doesn't have any room for the educated? Can you not see the racket that Christianity has going here?

Holy shit, church leaders are good. Keep 'em dumb by telling them Jesus wont like you if you have an education.

  • @blueguitarblue An interesting point to note is, that as a British schoolboy, Hitchens received daily christian teachings. I know this because a) he has confirmed this and b) I too was a British schoolboy and received the same. We are both, in spite of this, Atheists. We have not been moulded by any culture; quite the opposite. Furthermore, I would like to ask you - since the church has had to change its stance on many issues because of the morals of society, would you not agree God IS outdated?

  • @Suboteisghost first of all fuck the institutions, catholicism, protestants etc.. you use them to aid why you are athiest and ill show you all the contradictions the churches have committed from the dot to the coma. its the evils of corruption and sin in the human heart... i would tell you about the devils behind the scenes who work in cahoots and team work to achieve hypocrosy and more confusion but then again that would be like explaining disneyland in german to a chinese lol

  • @Suboteisghost Yeah sure, the being of infinite power who created the entire universe and all it's perfectly balanced systems is outdated. Oh wait, I'm thinking the blind ramblings of someone who has been tricked into a really sad and mediocre way of living their life. What's more likely, a church losing it's way, or God losing his? Come on now. You cannot blame God for your failures, or for the failures of a church.

  • @Suboteisghost 1) It should be a surprise to no one that both you and Hitchens used to be christians, as atheists are basically people who are angry at God. Atheists think and talk more about God than any other person of any religion.

  • Sell the Vatican gold and paintings, feed the poor you Catholic fools

  • @tedmon11 Whiloe Itlay has a banking crisis, the Vatica is rich and fat. they never bail out anybody; except for thier perferts with the wierd clothes

  • @glower125 You must be one of those WONDERFUL Christians.Wake up and face reality.Pretty evil for a Christian. Yet I find most of you "already forgiven" Christians the biggest sinners and hypocrites ever! Maybe because your faith gives you a "get out of jail free card" so to speak. So keep speaking and doing evil things.Jesus understands........

  • @tedmon11 The trouble with MANY (not all) devout Christian believers is that they seem to sincerely believe that they have got a licence to behave as badly and as selfishly as they like in THIS life, without jeopardising their chances of being granted an eternal place in Heaven - by an omnipotent and omnipotent Deity - after they depart this mortal coil. In my experience (and, I suspect, in yours too) Christians who come into that category tend to attempt to justify their selfishness,

  • @tedmon11 [Continuing on from my previous 'post' about Christians who behave badly - seemingly without guilt or remorse] greed and cruelty by saying something like this: "Jesus Christ, the only begotten and dearly beloved Son of Almighty God, WASHED AWAY ALL MY SINS at Calvery, nearly 2,000 years ago, when he voluntarily sacrificied himself by willingly undergoing an agonizing death on The Cross."

Incidentally, that Christian who bad-mouthed the excellent Christopher Hitchens on this

  • @tedmon11 [Continuing on from my previous 'post' about Christians who behave badly - seemingly without guilt or remorse] You Tube discussion board about 8 months ago, is an odious, twisted and worthless slime-ball, IMHO. What that man wrote about (the excellent) Mr Christopher Hitchens was absolutely vile - and WAY out of order. It would not surprise me if he (the atheist-hating dude who 'posts' outrageous comments on You Tube under the pseudonyn of "glower125) is a psychopath.

  • @glower125 Don't be angry because you don't understand what he talks about. Moron

  • @glower125 You're a twat.

  • @glower125 STFU ... you bigoted, odious, bible-thumping, Christian 'fundie'. That is a terrible thing to say, so it is. Where is your compassion? Did it vanish in the haze?

  • Hitchens Owns.

  • Comment removed

  • I love how he smokes during his talk.

  • I like how Hitchens always seems like he is drunk off his ass in every interview

  • @GTRrocker666 Well, because he usually is. No secret that he's an alcoholic though I suspect he's slowed his boozing down now that he has a life threatening (incurable) disease.

  • @Vulcanscienceacademy if you were dying of cancer why bother slow down drinking? lol

  • @GTRrocker666 - Hardly.

  • A room full of kiss asses.

  • @niallvan

    Can you blame them?

  • Religion is the enemy

  • @welshhibby The religion of socialism is the enemy.

They've already murdered a hundred million innocents last century, and still feel justified in pontificating on morality. They've already denied all their numerous crimes, even as they prepare for an even nastier, more hypocritical run in the 21st century. Haven't we finally had enough of their homicidal, kleptocratic antics?
