When it says dual tone, does that mean you can run two different tones simultaneously? Like on the POD X3? You know, where you make one tone with say a JCM-800, pan it hard left, then make another tone with maybe a Plexi and pan it hard right and you can play them both at the same time; can you do that?

Gainy guitars get compressed all the time. Look at what Lord Alge does to them in the mix. Sounds great.

@baranismen i think if you play metal alot yes it is a must... the amp models are much better for this... although the soldano model is decent too i think its called the solo 100 head and it comes factory... but the metal shop is badass especially with a tiny bit of tweaking

Scoop out the mids almost entirely...your rig sounds good in any case, but you want your highs to be a bit "tinnier" for that trademark FF.
