Its funny that you mention the ylod. Mine got ylod after 2 weeks or so after 3.0 update.

Im interested in getting the new Ps3 slim but would like to know if you can switch HDD's and keep all your old info from fatty version onto slim.

yes most info from the fat comes over unless the game has some sort of copyright and the HDD is easily removed/replaced by removing one screw on the bottom of the console

i have an origianl 60GB ps3 model from the uK release date 23rd march and i have found my ps3 is faster ! i have found it loads things not tonnes fast just enough to make a differance like in KZ2.

I dont think any one should be afraid to update! sony are very good with fixing problems very quickly.

I have an original 60gb model as well and downloaded the 3.0 firmware update. The day after I downloaded it, I was playin COD 4 and the screen froze. It immediately shut down and when I try and turn it back on the light goes yellow and the starts flashing red. I contacted Sony and they fuckin said it would cost £120 to get it repaired lol

i did notice my phat ps3 faster loading than before and when i DL rockband songs its alot faster than before.. some people r having problems with this update saying that its slow but SONY is already working on a FIX
