Why can't you guys who are so afraid of Rick Santorum just speak with some... a little.. even a hint, of class and propriety. So many of you guys who are constantly scouring the internet to support Ron Paul and bash Rick Santorum are using such ugly, low, and foul language. It reflects poorly on your candidate. Eventually people are going to ask themselves, "Do we really want a president who has such vile and indecent supporters whose main arguments are insults and expletives?"
@MindingUp Santorum's a brilliant guy. He doesn't give much inspiration to people except that he's not bashing other candidates as much. Just kind of a plain candidate imo.
"I also put out an investment type of letter because I've always been fascinated with the hard money school, and been interested in the gold standard, so I put out an investment letter on those lines," he said in a C-SPAN interview on May 29, 1987.
That's the quote from the video above. Is he touting racism there?
After the Los Angeles riots, one article in a newsletter claimed, "Order was only restored in L.A. when it came time for the blacks to pick up their welfare checks."
One referred to Martin Luther King Jr. as "the world-class philanderer who beat up his paramours" and who "seduced underage girls and boys."
Another referred to Barbara Jordan, a civil rights activist and congresswoman as "Barbara Morondon," the "archetypical half-educated victimologist."
"Given the inefficiencies of what DC laughingly calls the criminal justice system, I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal."
"We are constantly told that it is evil to be afraid of black men, it is hardly irrational."
Any1 claimin Paul is a racist is simple minded. Have u ever read anything written by Paul? If not read his "Gold Piece" novel. U can find it on the net for free, but youll need to pay for a dictionary cus he uses sophisticated language. I've read a lota Paul's work & he writes in praise of MLK & none of his work had any style of that junk in those news letters. However Paul stands up for all shades, writin him off will hurt all including those caught up in the descrepincy of the judicial system.
@AreWeStillFree1 I, for one, am not claiming that Ron Paul is a racist, just that he's deceptive. He published the Ron Paul newsletter and charged people money to subscribe to it. He now claims in the CNN interview watch?v=lDidd_g_zB8 that he didn't write them, didn't read them, and disavows them.
If he's telling the truth then he's the most incompetent publisher ever, and he owes his subscribers a refund for publishing a Ron Paul newsletter that he didn't even fucking read.
@LoonyRonPaul He says he didn't write *the racist articles*, not the Newsletters. He's not "The most incompetent publisher ever" - He's a doctor. Who has a Newsletter, and hired people to write for it. And some of those people were apparently pretty racist, or acted as such for some hitherto unexpressed reason.
I'll give you that it was foolish to have the newsletter in his name if he wasn't going to have complete control over its contents, but that's as far as I'll go.
@Tethyrin "Foolish"? Try deceptive. He owes those subscribers a refund.
"Complete control"? Try no control. He claims that didn't write them and didn't read them. He also claimed to Wolf Blitzer that he has "no idea" who wrote the articles.
How the fuck does a publisher not know who's writing what? Maybe he's protecting someone. Or maybe he's just incompetent at running a newsletter. Either way, non-Paultards aren't going to trust someone like that with the presidency.
@LoonyRonPaul Strawman argument. He did not say he didn't write ANY of the articles in the news letter, NOR did he say that he was unaware of the Newsletters' existence. He said that he did not know of the existence of racist articles in the newsletter, because he didn't write them and was, shockingly, splitting his time between "being a doctor" and "being a Congressman". You are projecting what you wish he had said onto his words, which is a sure sign of being an ass. Cancel your Internet.
@Tethyrin He claims that for all those years he wasn't aware of any of the crazy articles. That's bullshit. He was aware of it, because he knows who wrote it - his friend Lew Rockwell. Ron Paul just doesn't want to admit that he knows Rockwell wrote the shit because then he has to admit to knowing about it. He's lying to you.
@LoonyRonPaul You have never had a friend lie about you? I would bet that most of your friends (and mine) would say just about anything about us if they were offered enough money to do so. You will need more proof than a single man making multiple negative statements of another man's character to convince me otherwise.
I would hope that you would watch this latest ad, and that you would feel the weight of its truth as I do.
@Tethyrin A single man making multiple negative statements of another man's character? What are you talking about?
Anyway, if you want proof, Google "Scans of Over 50 Ron Paul Newsletters" and wake up. He published shitloads of these crazy rants in his own newsletter, now he's claiming he had no idea what he was publishing. He's lying.
Ron Paul's not a racist, and he didn't write all that crazy shit (that was Lew Rockwell). But he is lying to you.
Yup, the guy who's fought for individual rights and equality under the law for his entire career is a racist. Nothing better to do with your time I see.
I'd like to see the news interview the owner of Youtube and question him about racist comments made on the website years ago.
"Don't you have the power to take them down? Did you make money off of it? shouldn't you give that money back?"
@DeathOfAMudkip Ron Paul started a company called Ron Paul and Associates. The newsletters were printed under the umbrella of that organization. Ron Paul profited from the newsletters. Ron Paul defended the newsletters. Ron Paul’s name, signature and first person references are found in the newsletters he defended. Ron Paul claims he employed ghost writers, however this has not been proven, and the newsletters themselves offer no bylines to anyone other than Ron Paul.
... and yet you, yes YOU PostSurgeOperative, willl not find a single example of video footage anywhere showing Paul speaking in a manner that supports the views and tones of those specific articles. Maybe I'm wrong, but until I hear this from the horse's mouth, I'm going to believe him. And why wouldn't I? After all, I've only watched days-worth of footage of him speaking over the past 5 years. Have you watched any?
@nosleeze We see how Ron communicates when he thinks no one else is looking. To ignore the evidence provided in the newsletters, shows us you would ignore any video or audio evidence if it were presented. Asking for 'video' evidence, when all the evidence is right there and is all over the place, makes you look very insincere in your demands for more evidence. The fact is, the newsletters are just the tip of Ron Paul's very racist iceberg. The evidence clearly shows he is a lying liar.
No it doesn't, and I don't know how you make the case that I'd ignore stark evidence if presented with it; I think I was explicit about demanding such conclusive video footage since the burden of proof is on YOU. And I'm not insecure. In fact, I am smugly confident that you have milked this tragic cow dry. Where are the videos? Not links to people talking about interviews or any other conjectured argument; I want to see actual footage RIGHT NOW!!! I'll wait ...
@nosleeze 'Insecure'? No, I said insincere, as in: you are being insincere by demanding video proof, when there is tons of evidence, not just in his newsletters, but in his associations with prominent racists and racist groups. Asking for video evidence is a total cop-out; of course he's not going to talk like that when the camera is on him! But even if he did, most of you Paulunteers would defend him anyway, just like many of his racist supporters are doing now.
My apologies. No, it is the most crucial element to this mystery. Your argument that he'd be careful not to air his true racist feelings on air while all the while churning them out in public newsletters for over 10 years is so contradictory that I could laugh. And you don't think that in all the time since 1976 when he first took office there shouldn't be one slip of the tongue caught on tape. This isn't a man known for rehearsing what he says beforehand. So, where is it?
@nosleeze Not rehearsing what he says? Are you serious? He frequently talks about how he has 'honed' the 'Liberty message' over the years, and he has also stated that because he speaks to different, diverse groups, that he 'emphasizes' different aspects of his message, depending on the audience. He is a professional politician. Even when he was out of office, he was always preparing for re-election.
Politicians lie all the time, just like Ron Paul lied to Gloria Borger the other day.
False, false, and false. Yes, he's honed the delivery of his message, not the content. Even the mainstream media acknowledges how he doesn't tailor his message for any group. Did you not see him get booed at the Foreign Policy Debate? And no, he is not a professional politician; he's a doctor. He has even said this has allowed him to speak his mind unlike other politicians. But this is getting off topic: where is the conclusive video?
@nosleeze In several newspaper interviews in 1996, including one with the Dallas Morning News, Ron Paul admitted to authoring the racist articles, including one which cited 'statistics' regarding the criminality of Black males in Washington, DC. He openly DEFENDED those statements, and his spokesperson even went so far as to compare Ron Paul's newsletters, positively, to Dostoevsky's 'War and Peace'. Not only did he know about the newsletters, he also spoke about them on the record.
@nosleeze The fact that Ron Paul blusters, dodges, and weaves whenever asked any direct questions about this issue is evidence that he's evading the truth. He literally walked out of a video interview the other day after LYING about his knowledge of the racist parts of his newsletters. That's pretty damning. If he has nothing to hide, then why is he running and hiding?
He needs to fully address questions on this issue if he wants to put it behind him. The burden of proof is on HIM.
Yes, if he was indeed avoiding the question, it would be something suspect. However, Paul walked out in protest because if you look at the video again, he did answer her, and when she didn't accept his answer, he saw the interview for what it was - a smear. Remember that although the media has presented this as "shocking new revelations", Paul has been answering this question for YEARS. So, for you, how many times do you need to hear the same answer? And your video proof?
@nosleeze Ron Paul is a liar. In the Borger interview, he clearly LIED about what he knew and when he knew it. He has deliberately mislead and distorted the facts regarding his newsletters. If you've watched the interviews, you know how he routinely changes the subject, deflects, and otherwise avoids answering. He needs to directly address all the follow-up questions. Over the years, Ron Paul has given inconsistent answers regarding the newsletters, and that's what he needs to clarify.
No, there is no inconsistency, much like his political platform. It is not clear to me, or I'd imagine most other people, that he lied in that interview. It shows his contempt for the media beating a dead horse just as his poll numbers rise, just like in the last election cycle. But of course you haven't questioned this at all. There is no conclusive video evidence that he's racist because you are unable to provide it. All you've got is a patchwork of opinion pieces.
@nosleeze No, what we have is a very damning pattern of facts, including the extant newsletters and solicitation letters which undeniably exist, which Ron Paul profited greatly from the sale of, and which he, himself, DEFENDED and ADMITTED authoring in several interviews in '96. The fact that he now denies any knowledge of it shows that he is both inconsistent and a liar.
Of course, Ron Paul's merry klan of racist-supporting teabaggers don't really care about those inconvenient facts.
So, you're saying that he explicitly acknowledged writing these racist articles in '96, but that he's now saying someone else wrote these racist articles? Where is the video evidence of this? I've seen videos where he's talked about his economic newsletters, but nothing about the racist ones. Can you send me a video link please? Again, not some second-hand opinion piece, but once-and-for-all conclusive video evidence of his "lies".
@nosleeze Let's set aside the question of whether he lied, or whether he's racist, and consider his actions as President of his company, Ron Paul and Associates, LLC.
If you had published and profited from a decades' worth of racist, homophobic, antisemitic, and conspiracy-obsessed newsletters, even if they written by some paid staffer, would it be unreasonable for me to conclude that you are a racist?
If Ron Paul didn't know he was publishing that stuff, he's an incompetent manager.
I don't agree with the charge of incompetence. He was practising medicine at the time. I'd look at his medical and business records while working as a doctor and running his own business; and then I'd look at his political record while working as a congressman. Both I'm sure are impeccable. To suggest this should somehow trump all his principled voting record is beyond fantasy. But you've been touting his "lies" for too long now to suddenly drop it, so where are the videos?
@nosleeze It’s laughable for a Paul supporter to act like they take evidence into consideration.
You can’t negate the evidence, facts and truth by demanding to see a video of Ron Paul using such language. We see how Ron communicates when he thinks no one else is looking. The evidence provided in his own newsletters, and newspaper and video interviews on this subject is enough. Plus, his long-time associations with racists is well-known and adds compelling weight to the other evidence.
No, we cannot see how Ron communicates his racism because that would imply we have seen it, but you have repeatedly avoided my requests for concrete evidence, not conjecture. In a court of law, conjecture, which might hint at a possibility, is not enough itself for proof beyond a reasonable doubt. You continually state as fact that these third-party articles and a list of unconfirmed associations condemn him. In fact, your argument is empty because you cannot provide videos.
@nosleeze Ron Paul ADMITTED authoring the racist articles in his newsletters in several interviews in 1996. To deny the FACT that he openly ADMITTED authoring those articles and DEFENDED them, shows that you are unwilling to accept any amount of evidence, and your demands for video evidence ignores the fact that he is shown in the video posted here discussing his 'newsletter' (even though he was publishing 4 newsletters at that time), despite his recent claims that he wasn't involved.
Please tell me where he admitted to EXPLICITLY WRITING and discussing these specific RACIST newsletters. So far I've only seen one video of him briefly mentioning his economic newsletter. That 42-second excerpt makes no mention of racism. So what are you talking about?
@nosleeze May 22, 1996 Ron Paul was interviewed by the Dallas Morning News, and May 23, by the Houston Chronicle about the racist newsletters, including several specifically-referenced articles which Ron Paul openly defended and never denied authoring. At no point in those interviews did he suggest they were the ideas and attitudes of 'ghost writers', nor did he in any way repudiate or disavow those articles. It wasn't until 2001 that he began to issue denials.
Sorry, but I'm not your research assistant. The evidence is everywhere, all you have to do is look. Perhaps you should buy a subscription to the Nexis database?
The burden of proof isn't on me, it's on Ron Paul. He's the one who has to prove he can be trusted managng federal employees; he's the one who has to prove he's qualified to enforce our nation's civil rights laws. His past newsletters and racist associations show he's unqualified.
No, innocence until proven guilty. According to you, I could go around claiming that you molest children and then demand you disprove it. What nonsense! I have simply asked you to provide a link to an article which you must have at your disposal since you cite it repeatedly on this forum. I assume that you have had access to it in the past and have read it in order to speak with such authority. Can you share it please, otherwise your argument is empty.
C. The May 22, 1996 Dallas Morning News article in which Ron Paul DEFENDS and ADMITS authoring his racist newsletters is widely-available on the internet, as well as in the Lexis database. All you have to do is Google "May 22, 1996 Dallas Morning News", and you will find dozens of web pages which quote the article, some of the pages, such as the one found at criticalreactor. com, quote it in its entirety.
@nosleeze All Ron Paul needs to do if he did not write his own news letter is come out an apologize for lying & conning all the subscribers who thought they were buying Dr. Paul's writings out of their money...And then TELL EVERYONE WHO WROTE THE DAMN NEWSLETTER! It is very simple!! Stop making excuses for the man & demand he set the record clean so folks know the truth! Otherwise he has ZERO chance of getting elected! The American people are forgiving to those who are honest!
@Viracocha711 lol, Ron Paul would be the last one to write that kind of newsletter. This is another poor attempt by establishment Republicans and Democrats to discredit Ron Paul even though all of his actions show otherwise. Research something about Ron Paul's position on race and you'll see.
@bartek4443 THEN WHO WROTE THE NEWSLETTER IN RON PAUL'S NAME?? If Ron Paul does not answer this question he is done politically!! That is just simple FACT!! We know who wrote them & that is why Ron Paul refuses to answer the question! It was his Chief of Staff...Someone he is very close to & praised all the time! Ron Paul is done because he does hold closeted racila & anti-Semitic views. Not really closeted because he use to be open about it!
@Viracocha711 As a publisher, you can hire many people to write your newsletters. Apparently, there was either a racist or a plant from the MSM writing those kinds of newsletters. Since Ron Paul was still practicing medicine at that time he didn't find out about them until ten years later when in Congress. He answered the question nearly 50 times to reporters everywhere but they insist on their smear campaign. Please /watch?v=i3EADdr-5AY
@bartek4443 If you want to play the TOOL & think Ron Paul knew nothing about these newsletters for the 20yrs or so he was vigorously promoting them & profiting off them then be that TOOL! But you know damn well Ron Paul knew about these newsletters & what was written in them & only disavowed them once he began to gain popularity in the polls. Plus, what does it say about Ron Paul if he would allow things to be written in his name & never even check what was in them? COME ON!!
@Viracocha711 The truth is that you just don't understand Ron Paul's positions. Ron Paul blither blather; gibberish; all America's fault; conspiratorial batshit; go back to gold standard; end the Fed; all wars illegal and unconstitutional; make friends with Iran; pull out of everywhere all at once; legalize drugs; open the Mexican border to reduce the number of illegal immigrants; Ron Paul is 'incapable of being a racist' - you just don't understand Ron Paul's positions.
@AbsoluteMonarchist If you would take the time to actually read Ron Paul's past congressional testimony & his explanation of votes you would understand how Ron Paul is playing a game...RP thinks the Fed Gov. should comply w/Bill of Rights but the thinks the States should be allowed to discriminate any way they choose! But like most RP supporters you don't see the big picture of what RP wants to do. However, all this will be over in a few days to weeks. Happy New Year!!
@Viracocha711 cause he believes in the 10th amendment which which is states rights, he is not OK with big government on a state level its just not the role of the federal government to get involved, unlike Michele Bachman he will not go into Massachusetts and get rid of there healthcare law passed a few years cause the states can do what they want and he does not like the Massachusetts law but he will obey the constitution
@Viracocha711 And you're saying that all people in america have the same beliefs. That's the whole glory of the country you're in. We have the opportunity to be different, live under different laws but also live under certain "inalienable rights". That's the essence of the United States of America.
@Viracocha711 Blither blather gibberish; Soviet revisionist history; just don't understand; batshit, batshit; more batshit; just read a load of Soviet revisionist batshit called "All the Shah's Men" that has been thoroughly discredited by all serious academics to understand the "blowback" batshit that is really code for "Jews dragged us into it" which is also a load of shit. Why don't you just fuck off you maggot?
@evilbert81 Ron Paul's solution to racism is get rid of the Civil Rights Act & repeal the 14th/Incorporation Doctrine that forces States to comply with the Bill of Rights so that States can discriminate how they choose...And then racial tensions will go away since the Federal Government won't be allowed to force Sates to treat everyone equal. FUCK THAT! States should be FORCED by the a STRONG Federal Government to comply with ALL Civil Rights Laws & Laws protecting the Disabled!
@Viracocha711 FALSE!!! Ron Paul believes that the Federal Government should look as every citizen of the United States as a special and unique individual. All there individuals have the same rights and follow the same laws. AND a person or group can believe and practice as they like as long as they do not infringe on others rights (this goes for businesses too.)
Ron Paul would not allow the Federal Government to give a preference to any group or individual over another.
@ShadowM2069 Ron Paul thinks the Federal Government should be bound to comply with the Bill of Rights...HOWEVER, he thinks States SHOULD NOT be bound to comply with the Bill of Rights & should have the "right" to form their own Constitution that can discriminate against any group of people they choose without the Federal Government being able to force them to treat everyone the same. This is ABSURD!
@Viracocha711 YOU'RE WRONG! Ron Paul would allow Businesses to discriminate... which is a right a business has. They have the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason... The Federal government shouldn't allow anyone's rights to be violated, but they cannot protect you from being offended by these freedoms.
It is not the federeal governments job to force people to be tolerant of others.
@ShadowM2069 LOL! The SAD thing is you want so bad for what you said to be true but it never will be...All States & businesses should be FORCED to comply with the Bill of Rights just as the federal Government should! At least you are honest about your disregard for individual rights & backing the "right" of State Governments & Business to destroy the rights of individuals if they choose! You are VERY RARE among Ron Paul fans most don't even know Paul is against Individual Freedoms!
@Viracocha711 Again you're completely misinformed and it shows thru. The Federal Government should force the states not to discriminate based on race, religion, age, etc... But it is not the responsability of the federal government to shut down businesses that discrimate. That responsability falls on the back of the market, who should remove those buisnesses economically not legally.
You need to understand the difference between the Federal and State Governments, and the Constitution.
@ShadowM2069 ONE MORE TIME...Dr.Paul thinks STATE GOVERNMENTS should have the "RIGHT" to DISCRIMINATE! Dr.Paul thinks the Federal Government should not have the power to force States to comply with the Bill of Rights! Clearly you DISAGREE with Dr.Paul as you said,"The Federal Government should force the states not to discriminate based on race, religion, age, etc" And YES Business should also be FORCED to comply w/Bill of Rights, Civil Rights Act & Americans w/Disabilities Act!
@ShadowM2069 Are you familiar with the the term "projecting" in psychology? Well, you are actively "projecting" your faults onto me.I have stated well documented FACTS about Paul&since you don't want to address those FACTS you seek the default position that many Ron Paul fans & especially Conspiracy fans take&that is to claim those who point out the absurdities in such conspiracies are "a sleep" or "sheep" or my favorite "You are just part of the disinformation machine of the NWO!"
@pdpax91 Are you joking? No I do not mean the Mafia... the mafia rules when you illegalize and create a black market. What I am talking about is the free market. If there is a racist restaurant, no one would go and it would get no business. The free market is better at regulating than the government.
To say that freedom leads to Mafia rule, you're wrong. Freedom wouldn't allow for black markets, criminalization, and empowering criminals.
@Viracocha711 shut up pussy publications involve ghost writers and a name gets used. did you not see that he stated in the vid he put out investment letters? give me proof he wrote the racist sentences out of thousands of newsletters then you might not sound like a fucking msm sucking marxist pc idiot.
@sh4p3shifter If you want to play the TOOL then fine...The FACT remains Ron Paul actively supported his newsletters for 20yrs or so & knew what was in them & only tried to distance himself once he began to rise in the polls & he was called out on them. "Ghost Writers" LOL!!
@PostSurgeOperative liar.... read the entire article in context.... It was about another text.
iting statistics from the study, Dr. Paul then concluded in his column: `Given the inef! ficiencies of what DC laughingly calls the criminal justice system, I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal."
"These aren't my figures," Dr. Paul said Tuesday. "That is the assumption you can gather from" the report
@TheMaghi85 Ron Paul is a liar. In 1996 he openly defended and admitted authoring the racist newsletters. Then, beginning in 2001, he began to deny writing them, and just the other day, he claimed he didn't know anything about them! He's a RACIST LIAR.
Regardless of what you think about his other issues, it's absurd to believe he was unaware of the racist content of the newsletters that HE HIMSELF published over a span of about 10 years. It wasn't just one article. There are dozens.
@PostSurgeOperative You are a trained monkey! You would gladly give up the bill of rights and any kind of personal freedom with a tyrannical president like Obama who pushes through the NDAA and SOPA; than have a candidate who may have non PC positions. You worship at the alter of political correctness, you are a slave and your mind has been colonized. The media only has to say the right trigger words and become monkey for the establishment.
@nosleeze Ron Paul may very well be a competent twat doctor, but if he is to be believed in his claims that he didn't know what his employees were writing over a 10-YEAR period in HIS OWN newsletters (the sale of which earned him MILLIONS of dollars), then it's reasonable to conclude that he was an incompetent publisher. Even he admits he was a terrible publisher in his interview with Gloria Borger.
The issue isn't simply Ron Paul's racism, but his corporate irresponsibility as well.
Firstly, he's an OB/GYN. Secondly, he's accepted moral responsibility for the oversight. Thirdly, you constantly contradict yourself when you first argue that he's racist for writing those articles, and then he's incompetent for letting other people write those articles. You are someone that has never listened to him speak beyond some media sound bite. How someone could listen to his staunch libertarian lectures and get an impression of bigotry is incredulous. Video now!!!
@nosleeze I didn't contradict myself. Ron Paul admitted authoring at least some of the articles. However, he now claims they were written by ghost writers in his employ, over the span of a decade. If that is true, then he is an incompetent manager.
As PRESIDENT of Ron Paul and Associates, LLC, he is ultimately responsible for what he published. He is responsible for the work product of his employees. If he can't manage a few employees, then he's certainly not qualified to be POTUS.
Yes, and I've asked for the link to the Dallas Morning News article that you cited. Can I have that please, AND some video evidence that shows, or even suggests, that Paul has racist leanings.
@nosleeze Yes, he has answered the question multiple times. The problem is that he has given multiple — and different — answers. First, as quoted in the Dallas Morning News, he was “taken out of context.” Then, as quoted in the Texas Monthly, he only wrote “some of the articles.” Now he’s claiming he didn’t write ANY of them and never even read them!
He’s answered the questions multiple times, but, he also gave multiple answers. So which of these differing answers are we to believe?
Ron Paul MUST come forward & tell us who wrote the newsletter!!!!!!!!!! All you Ron Paul supporters would not be so understanding if Obama had a newsletter talking about whitey & "The coming race war"!! Ron Paul is avoiding doing the right thing & all that is doing is making this issue more interesting...Ron Paul is killing his own campaign!!
@Viracocha711 what r u an idiot? all this irrelevant shit was brought up by the main stream media and has nothing to do with is philosophies or ideals. The banks and money makers are out to discredit him by using their bought 4th estate (media for dumasses).
@Viracocha711 Did you know Ron Paul charged $50 per year for a subscription to his newsletters? Tens of thousands of people who sent him the money believed they were reading the actual words of Dr. Paul, which is understandable, considering many of the articles are written in the 1stperson voice and reference "my years as a Congressman", "my wife, Carol", etc. Now, he's claiming he didn't even write his own newsletters--iow, he duped a bunch of people out of their money!
And if I want to sell a slice of bread for $1 million, what's wrong with that? If people don't want to buy it, maybe the price is too high. I don't know if he charged $50 per year; I'm only quoting you, but that works out to be less than $2 a week, for how many issues please? So, you've read "many of the articles" then? Otherwise, how the hell would you know if they were written in the first person?
@nosleeze Yes, unlike you and the rest of the Rongolian horde, I have actually taken the time to read a lot of the articles cited in these various reports on Ron Paul's racism.
The information about subscription rates is available in solicitation letters from Ron Paul himself, from tax records, and from the newsletters themselves. $50 bought a year's subscription to his 4 newsletters. Many reporters have unearthed tons of evidence. But hey, it's your right hide your head in the sand!
This is very damning! Apparently between seeing more pussy than Gene Simmons and Wilt Chamberlain combine he composed hateful messages about the federal reserve which has done such a great job simplifying economics with the advent of the penny standard. They worked tirelessly for 100 years to bankrupt America and this bozo thinks he can write trash about success??? He should just resign and avoid the embarrassment of being labelled a principled individual and Constitution disciple! .
Acknowledging that a newsletter under his name exists is not the same as acknowledging the racist content of some of them. The media is distorting the truth here. Obviously he knew that there was a newsletter with his name that was supposed to discuss investment advice. He's not acknowledging the hateful content in the letters.
@Shellshock1918 Dr. Paul didn't acknowledge the racism in his newsletters in this interview, because most of the racist stuff appeared in his 3 other concurrently-published newsletters.
In 1996 interviews with the Dallas Morning News, he actually defended specifically-referenced articles, e.g., one which cited statistics regarding the criminal nature of Blacks in the D.C.-Metro area. He never denied authoring them, nor did he imply or in any way suggest they weren't his views.
Come on! Ron Paul had three different newsletters. The inflammatory material did not occur in the investment newsletter he mentions in this video. Furthermore, the objectionable content occurred in the early 90's, years after this interview. Ron Paul did not write or approve of the inflammatory material and expressed regret for not having reviewed the newsletters' content when he was a practicing OBGYN in the early 90's. It was a mistake he has learned from.
@SirTenenbaum Ron Paul was PRESIDENT of 'Ron Paul and Associates, LLC', which was the private corporation HE founded as a vehicle for his publishing ventures, which included 4 newsletters: Ron Paul Political Report, Ron Paul Freedom Report, Ron Paul Survival Report, and the Ron Paul Investment Letter, in addition to various other pamphlets, and books. His wife, Carol, and his daughter Trish were both CORPORATE officers of RP and Associates, which reported $900,000 earnings in 1993.
@PostSurgeOperative Yes, Ron Paul founded the newsletters in the 80's and his name was attached to them throughout the 90's. The inflammatory material occurred in the 90's when Ron Paul focused on his medical practice and used ghostwriters to write the material of the newsletter which he unfortunately did not review before publication. The inflammatory material is not Ron Paul's character at all, and his campaign is not about race. Furthermore, earnings/revenue are very different from PROFITS.
@SirTenenbaum Hitler didn't gas the Jews, his employees did!
Ron Paul scammed MILLIONS of dollars publishing racist, homophobic, antisemitic, and conspiracy-obsessed newsletters. As PRESIDENT of Ron Paul and Assoc, LLC, he is directly responsible for the newsletters he actively promoted, published, and distributed. In several interviews in 1994 he ADMITTED writing some of the most incendiary articles. The fact that he now denies it means he either LIED then, or he's LYING now.
@PostSurgeOperative I have tried but cannot find those interviews where you claim he admits writing the material. Can you post the links in another comment so everybody including myself can follow them? If you do post the links, I will assume they don't exist since I cannot find them (logically).
@SirTenenbaum Actually, the interviews were in 96, when he was running for Congress.
/watch?v=78uJYGZfx4w
The point is that if Dr. Pol can't even manage a few employees--several of whom were his family members--as PRESIDENT of his own small business, then how can we have confidence he could effectively manage employees as POTUS? Perhaps you're unaware, but the job of POTUS is somewhat more demanding than the responsibilities of a small businessman and simple country twat doctor.
@PostSurgeOperative Read a reprint of an Oct 2001 Texas Monthly article titled "Dr. No". Ron Paul explains what happened in 1996. He was advised by his campaign to not explicitly say he did not write the content in order not to confuse people since the newsletter was in his name (this seems clearly the wrong choice). There is no direct quote in any interview in which Ron Paul said he wrote those articles. He never admitted to writing them like you said. Read the Texas Monthly article.
@SirTenenbaum You're joking right? In the TX Monthly article, Dr. Pol ADMITS he LIED about his authoring the newsletters. HE FUCKING LIED. I don't care if the reason he lied is because some advisor told him to (although that makes it worse, imo), or if he lied because his impulse is to lie; the fact is that HE LIED during his campaign for Congress.
He also LIED in the Gloria Borger interview when he said he didn't know about the articles until ten years after.
@PostSurge He should have said from the beginning that he did not write the newsletters. You can call him dishonest for not admitting he didn't write the articles, but you can't then call him a racist. But I imagine you'll do whatever you want. It is not at all in Ron Paul's character to do or say such things, and you admit yourself that didn't author the newsletters. His economic and foreign policy ideas are sound and much better than any other candidates. Ron Paul definitely still has my vote.
@SirTenenbaum In several interviews in 1996, including one with the Dallas Morning News, Dr. Pol admitted authoring some of the racist articles that appeared in his newsletter, and worse, he DEFENDED them! It wasn't until 2001 that he began denying it. In an interview with Gloria Borger, Paul claimed he didn't know about the newsletters until 10 years later, LOL!
Look at the evidence, not Ron Paul's words. Yes Ron Paul can lie. He’s not the Messiah. He’s not perfect. He’s not pure. The evidence shows he's clearly lying. I don’t care how forcefully he denies it. Nixon forcefully said he wasn’t a crook. Clinton forcefully said he didn’t have sexual relations with that woman. Politicians lie.
In addition to his inconsistency with the truth, he also flip-flopped on the death penalty, term limits, border security, and Don't Ask, Don't Tell!
@PostSurgeOperative i'm glad he voted to repeal don't ask don't tell and death penalty he is against open border, as for term limits, he for voluntary
@PostSurgeOperative he is a fucking racist that's why he want to end the war on drugs, because we all know how much African American community loves the war on drugs
@Shellshock1918 Calling me a neocon, shill, warmonger, troll, or any other word in your vocabulary, doesn’t make the facts go away.
It’s laughable when Paul supporters act like they take evidence into consideration. Paulunteers are putting on a guise when they demand proof of Paul's racism. They only pretend to care about evidence. The evidence provided in the newsletters is enough. The fact that Dr. Pol has repeatedly made misleading comments regarding this matter is evident.
@Shellshock1918 Yeah, and the evidence shows that Charlie Manson didn't kill that pregnant lady. But other people did, at his request. That's why most people consider him to be a murderer. I say "most people" because most people can see the proximity and the correlation between Mr. Manson and the murders his followers committed. However, there are people out there who defend Charlie, and many who believe he is innocent, despite his own admissions--his recanting, notwithstanding.
But you know what's missing in all this? Dr. Paul talking in the manner in which he is accused of being.
Seriously? Just what do you idiots at HuffPost think you "caught him" doing here?
It's like seriously, do you even understand English?
Have you no shame idiots? He's the ONLY ONE THAT WILL STOP ALL WARS ABROAD & POLICESTATE AT HOME! You want to live it up in NDAA tyranny, while watching entire fiat currency system globally, just keep on doing what you're doing. Yes, morons, seal your fate!
IS HuffPost moronic? When RP says he didn't write them, didn't know what was in them, as he was busy w/full time OB/GYN duty, questioner is ALWAYS asking about "racist" passages, NOT the rest of newsletters!
OMG! You got him admitting!!! Admitting what? That he had newsletters in his name that he NEVER DENIED HAVING? OMG! OMG! OMG!
We got him!!!
IF anything, people watching videos like this will be telling themselves, holy consistency! he was still talking about sound money then!
Ron Paul needs a lesson in economics. The Great Depression happend that last time there was no central bank, and only came to an end when the Federal Reserve took over. And, FYI, there is not enough gold in the entire earth to run a gold based economy. And, FYI, a recession is the reverse of inflation - How the heck does Ron Paul point at "pringint money" causing inflation when there is no inflation?
@RealHempman The Federal Reserve was created by Congress in 1913. Even Ben Bernanke, the current Chairman of the Fed, says that the Federal Reserve was a primary factor in the cause of the Great Depression.
Ron Paul had three different newsletters. The inflammatory material did not occur in the investment newsletter he mentioned in this video. Furthermore, the racist content occurred in the early 90's, years after this interview. Come on! What was written in the newsletters is certainly awful, which is why it is obvious Ron Paul did not write them. Ron Paul's campaign is not centered in any way on racially charged rhetoric. Google "Ron Paul newsletters FAQ tunk" and read the first result on Scribd.
@saper321 The greatesst racist elitist in the race. He will have to run third party as even the RNP is not insane enough to nominate the dirtbag sociopath.
OK. So why do you hate him? Is beacuse he is threatening to cut funding to one of your pet federal programs? Or it it because you are a fascist/socialist and your belief in centralize government is unshakable?
"...I've always been interested in the 'hard money' school..."
Dr. Pol, perhaps one of the greatest modern masters of the double entendre! 'Hard money' refers at once to the 'gold standard' concept in economic theory. But the way he uses it here also implies his real objective: obtaining your money, which he, and his sCampaign for LIEberty hope to ply from you by appealing to your base fears and lesser angels. He is pretty successful at it, too. In 1993 he made >$900,000 from those newsletters!
@PostSurgeOperative Ron Paul receives contributions and sales from people voluntarily. Ron Paul would like a gold standard to end the forced transfer of wealth from the poor and middle class to Wall St. that occurs through monetary creation and inflation through the Fed.
@SirTenenbaum The gold standard is a stupid and archaic idea, and has no more validity than a system which pegs the value of our money to the price of oil, aluminum, or chicken feed, ftm. The real reason he pitches the gold standard and advises people to invest in gold is because he himself is heavily invested in gold companies and mining operations. Dr. Pol is NOT an economist, he just plays one in Washington. He's a twat doctor, a career politician, and a direct-mail scam artist.
@PostSurgeOperative Gold is a good form of money because its supply is naturally relatively fixed meaning that prices in terms of gold are stable. The dollar has lost 95% of its purchasing power since 1913. You think that doesn't hurt the poor/middle class? Their savings and purchasing power are destroyed through inflation. Gold retains its value because it can't be printed at will and inflated. Gold would preserve the savings and purchasing power of the average person. Gold is very good money.
As in: "your annual $50 subscription to my newsletter is a great investment. Please send cash, or make your check, credit card, or money order purchase to 'Ron Paul and Associates', thank you very much."
MindingUp 2 months ago
@MindingUp Santorum's a brilliant guy. He doesn't give much inspiration to people except that he's not bashing other candidates as much. Just kind of a plain candidate imo.

"I also put out an investment type of letter because I've always been fascinated with the hard money school, and been interested in the gold standard, so I put out an investment letter on those lines," he said in a C-SPAN interview on May 29, 1987.
That's the quote from the video above. Is he touting racism there?

here are more quotes ron profted from
After the Los Angeles riots, one article in a newsletter claimed, "Order was only restored in L.A. when it came time for the blacks to pick up their welfare checks."

AreWeStillFree1 2 months ago
@AreWeStillFree1 I, for one, am not claiming that Ron Paul is a racist, just that he's deceptive. He published the Ron Paul newsletter and charged people money to subscribe to it. He now claims in the CNN interview watch?v=lDidd_g_zB8 that he didn't write them, didn't read them, and disavows them.
If he's telling the truth then he's the most incompetent publisher ever, and he owes his subscribers a refund for publishing a Ron Paul newsletter that he didn't even fucking read.
LoonyRonPaul 2 months ago
@LoonyRonPaul He says he didn't write *the racist articles*, not the Newsletters. He's not "The most incompetent publisher ever" - He's a doctor. Who has a Newsletter, and hired people to write for it. And some of those people were apparently pretty racist, or acted as such for some hitherto unexpressed reason.
I'll give you that it was foolish to have the newsletter in his name if he wasn't going to have complete control over its contents, but that's as far as I'll go.
Tethyrin 2 months ago
@Tethyrin "Foolish"? Try deceptive. He owes those subscribers a refund.
"Complete control"? Try no control. He claims that didn't write them and didn't read them. He also claimed to Wolf Blitzer that he has "no idea" who wrote the articles.
How the fuck does a publisher not know who's writing what? Maybe he's protecting someone. Or maybe he's just incompetent at running a newsletter. Either way, non-Paultards aren't going to trust someone like that with the presidency.
LoonyRonPaul 2 months ago
@LoonyRonPaul Strawman argument. He did not say he didn't write ANY of the articles in the news letter, NOR did he say that he was unaware of the Newsletters' existence. He said that he did not know of the existence of racist articles in the newsletter, because he didn't write them and was, shockingly, splitting his time between "being a doctor" and "being a Congressman". You are projecting what you wish he had said onto his words, which is a sure sign of being an ass. Cancel your Internet.
Tethyrin 2 months ago
@Tethyrin He claims that for all those years he wasn't aware of any of the crazy articles. That's bullshit. He was aware of it, because he knows who wrote it - his friend Lew Rockwell. Ron Paul just doesn't want to admit that he knows Rockwell wrote the shit because then he has to admit to knowing about it. He's lying to you.
LoonyRonPaul 2 months ago
@LoonyRonPaul You have never had a friend lie about you? I would bet that most of your friends (and mine) would say just about anything about us if they were offered enough money to do so. You will need more proof than a single man making multiple negative statements of another man's character to convince me otherwise.
I would hope that you would watch this latest ad, and that you would feel the weight of its truth as I do.

Thank you for your time.
Tethyrin 2 months ago
@Tethyrin A single man making multiple negative statements of another man's character? What are you talking about?
Anyway, if you want proof, Google "Scans of Over 50 Ron Paul Newsletters" and wake up. He published shitloads of these crazy rants in his own newsletter, now he's claiming he had no idea what he was publishing. He's lying.
Ron Paul's not a racist, and he didn't write all that crazy shit (that was Lew Rockwell). But he is lying to you.

Idiots.
Ron Paul for great justice!
DeathOfAMudkip 2 months ago
@DeathOfAMudkip Ron Paul started a company called Ron Paul and Associates. The newsletters were printed under the umbrella of that organization. Ron Paul profited from the newsletters. Ron Paul defended the newsletters. Ron Paul’s name, signature and first person references are found in the newsletters he defended. Ron Paul claims he employed ghost writers, however this has not been proven, and the newsletters themselves offer no bylines to anyone other than Ron Paul.
PostSurgeOperative 2 months ago
@PostSurgeOperative
... and yet you, yes YOU PostSurgeOperative, willl not find a single example of video footage anywhere showing Paul speaking in a manner that supports the views and tones of those specific articles. Maybe I'm wrong, but until I hear this from the horse's mouth, I'm going to believe him. And why wouldn't I? After all, I've only watched days-worth of footage of him speaking over the past 5 years. Have you watched any?
nosleeze 2 months ago
@nosleeze We see how Ron communicates when he thinks no one else is looking. To ignore the evidence provided in the newsletters, shows us you would ignore any video or audio evidence if it were presented. Asking for 'video' evidence, when all the evidence is right there and is all over the place, makes you look very insincere in your demands for more evidence. The fact is, the newsletters are just the tip of Ron Paul's very racist iceberg. The evidence clearly shows he is a lying liar.
PostSurgeOperative 2 months ago 4
@PostSurgeOperative
I'll wait ...
nosleeze 2 months ago
@nosleeze 'Insecure'? No, I said insincere, as in: you are being insincere by demanding video proof, when there is tons of evidence, not just in his newsletters, but in his associations with prominent racists and racist groups. Asking for video evidence is a total cop-out; of course he's not going to talk like that when the camera is on him! But even if he did, most of you Paulunteers would defend him anyway, just like many of his racist supporters are doing now.
PostSurgeOperative 2 months ago
@PostSurgeOperative
So, where is it?
nosleeze 2 months ago
@nosleeze Not rehearsing what he says? Are you serious? He frequently talks about how he has 'honed' the 'Liberty message' over the years, and he has also stated that because he speaks to different, diverse groups, that he 'emphasizes' different aspects of his message, depending on the audience. He is a professional politician. Even when he was out of office, he was always preparing for re-election.
Politicians lie all the time, just like Ron Paul lied to Gloria Borger the other day.
PostSurgeOperative 2 months ago
@PostSurgeOperative
But this is getting off topic: where is the conclusive video?
nosleeze 2 months ago
@nosleeze In several newspaper interviews in 1996, including one with the Dallas Morning News, Ron Paul admitted to authoring the racist articles, including one which cited 'statistics' regarding the criminality of Black males in Washington, DC. He openly DEFENDED those statements, and his spokesperson even went so far as to compare Ron Paul's newsletters, positively, to Dostoevsky's 'War and Peace'. Not only did he know about the newsletters, he also spoke about them on the record.
PostSurgeOperative 2 months ago
@PostSurgeOperative
From the horse's mouth please; not some he-said-she-said interview that NONE of us can confirm first hand. Where is the damning video footage please.
nosleeze 2 months ago
@nosleeze The fact that Ron Paul blusters, dodges, and weaves whenever asked any direct questions about this issue is evidence that he's evading the truth. He literally walked out of a video interview the other day after LYING about his knowledge of the racist parts of his newsletters. That's pretty damning. If he has nothing to hide, then why is he running and hiding?
He needs to fully address questions on this issue if he wants to put it behind him. The burden of proof is on HIM.
PostSurgeOperative 2 months ago
@PostSurgeOperative
And your video proof?
nosleeze 2 months ago
@nosleeze Ron Paul is a liar. In the Borger interview, he clearly LIED about what he knew and when he knew it. He has deliberately mislead and distorted the facts regarding his newsletters. If you've watched the interviews, you know how he routinely changes the subject, deflects, and otherwise avoids answering. He needs to directly address all the follow-up questions. Over the years, Ron Paul has given inconsistent answers regarding the newsletters, and that's what he needs to clarify.
PostSurgeOperative 2 months ago
@PostSurgeOperative
All you've got is a patchwork of opinion pieces.
nosleeze 2 months ago
@nosleeze No, what we have is a very damning pattern of facts, including the extant newsletters and solicitation letters which undeniably exist, which Ron Paul profited greatly from the sale of, and which he, himself, DEFENDED and ADMITTED authoring in several interviews in '96. The fact that he now denies any knowledge of it shows that he is both inconsistent and a liar.
Of course, Ron Paul's merry klan of racist-supporting teabaggers don't really care about those inconvenient facts.
PostSurgeOperative 2 months ago
@PostSurgeOperative
Again, not some second-hand opinion piece, but once-and-for-all conclusive video evidence of his "lies".
nosleeze 2 months ago
@nosleeze Let's set aside the question of whether he lied, or whether he's racist, and consider his actions as President of his company, Ron Paul and Associates, LLC.
If you had published and profited from a decades' worth of racist, homophobic, antisemitic, and conspiracy-obsessed newsletters, even if they written by some paid staffer, would it be unreasonable for me to conclude that you are a racist?
If Ron Paul didn't know he was publishing that stuff, he's an incompetent manager.
PostSurgeOperative 2 months ago
@PostSurgeOperative
But you've been touting his "lies" for too long now to suddenly drop it, so where are the videos?
nosleeze 2 months ago
@nosleeze It’s laughable for a Paul supporter to act like they take evidence into consideration.
You can’t negate the evidence, facts and truth by demanding to see a video of Ron Paul using such language. We see how Ron communicates when he thinks no one else is looking. The evidence provided in his own newsletters, and newspaper and video interviews on this subject is enough. Plus, his long-time associations with racists is well-known and adds compelling weight to the other evidence.
PostSurgeOperative 2 months ago
@PostSurgeOperative
In fact, your argument is empty because you cannot provide videos.
nosleeze 2 months ago
@nosleeze Ron Paul ADMITTED authoring the racist articles in his newsletters in several interviews in 1996. To deny the FACT that he openly ADMITTED authoring those articles and DEFENDED them, shows that you are unwilling to accept any amount of evidence, and your demands for video evidence ignores the fact that he is shown in the video posted here discussing his 'newsletter' (even though he was publishing 4 newsletters at that time), despite his recent claims that he wasn't involved.
PostSurgeOperative 2 months ago
@PostSurgeOperative
Please tell me where he admitted to EXPLICITLY WRITING and discussing these specific RACIST newsletters. So far I've only seen one video of him briefly mentioning his economic newsletter. That 42-second excerpt makes no mention of racism. So what are you talking about?
nosleeze 2 months ago
@nosleeze May 22, 1996 Ron Paul was interviewed by the Dallas Morning News, and May 23, by the Houston Chronicle about the racist newsletters, including several specifically-referenced articles which Ron Paul openly defended and never denied authoring. At no point in those interviews did he suggest they were the ideas and attitudes of 'ghost writers', nor did he in any way repudiate or disavow those articles. It wasn't until 2001 that he began to issue denials.
PostSurgeOperative 2 months ago

Sorry, but I'm not your research assistant. The evidence is everywhere, all you have to do is look. Perhaps you should buy a subscription to the Nexis database?
The burden of proof isn't on me, it's on Ron Paul. He's the one who has to prove he can be trusted managng federal employees; he's the one who has to prove he's qualified to enforce our nation's civil rights laws. His past newsletters and racist associations show he's unqualified.

Viracocha711 2 months ago
@Viracocha711 lol, Ron Paul would be the last one to write that kind of newsletter. This is another poor attempt by establishment Republicans and Democrats to discredit Ron Paul even though all of his actions show otherwise. Research something about Ron Paul's position on race and you'll see.
bartek4443 2 months ago
@bartek4443 THEN WHO WROTE THE NEWSLETTER IN RON PAUL'S NAME?? If Ron Paul does not answer this question he is done politically!! That is just simple FACT!! Viracocha711 2 months ago
@Viracocha711 As a publisher, you can hire many people to write your newsletters. Apparently, there was either a racist or a plant from the MSM writing those kinds of newsletters.

@Viracocha711 He was in congress when these letters were written smartness. 1990.
He's got the perfect solution to racism in america. Don't you see that?
evilbert81 1 month ago
@evilbert81 Ron Paul's solution to racism is get rid of the Civil Rights Act & repeal the 14th/Incorporation Doctrine that forces States to comply with the Bill of Rights so that States can discriminate how they choose...And then racial tensions will go away since the Federal Government won't be allowed to force Sates to treat everyone equal. FUCK THAT! States should be FORCED by the a STRONG Federal Government to comply with ALL Civil Rights Laws & Laws protecting the Disabled!
Viracocha711 1 month ago
@Viracocha711 FALSE!!! Ron Paul believes that the Federal Government should look as every citizen of the United States as a special and unique individual. All there individuals have the same rights and follow the same laws. AND a person or group can believe and practice as they like as long as they do not infringe on others rights (this goes for businesses too.)
Ron Paul would not allow the Federal Government to give a preference to any group or individual over another.
ShadowM2069 1 month ago
@ShadowM2069 Ron Paul thinks the Federal Government should be bound to comply with the Bill of Rights...HOWEVER, he thinks States SHOULD NOT be bound to comply with the Bill of Rights & should have the "right" to form their own Constitution that can discriminate against any group of people they choose without the Federal Government being able to force them to treat everyone the same. This is ABSURD!
Viracocha711 1 month ago
@Viracocha711 YOU'RE WRONG! Ron Paul would allow Businesses to discriminate... which is a right a business has. They have the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason... The Federal government shouldn't allow anyone's rights to be violated, but they cannot protect you from being offended by these freedoms.
It is not the federeal governments job to force people to be tolerant of others.
ShadowM2069 1 month ago
@ShadowM2069 LOL! The SAD thing is you want so bad for what you said to be true but it never will be...All States & businesses should be FORCED to comply with the Bill of Rights just as the federal Government should! At least you are honest about your disregard for individual rights & backing the "right" of State Governments & Business to destroy the rights of individuals if they choose! You are VERY RARE among Ron Paul fans most don't even know Paul is against Individual Freedoms!
Viracocha711 1 month ago
@Viracocha711 Again you're completely misinformed and it shows thru. The Federal Government should force the states not to discriminate based on race, religion, age, etc... But it is not the responsability of the federal government to shut down businesses that discrimate. That responsability falls on the back of the market, who should remove those buisnesses economically not legally.
You need to understand the difference between the Federal and State Governments, and the Constitution.
ShadowM2069 1 month ago
@ShadowM2069 ONE MORE TIME...Dr.Paul thinks STATE GOVERNMENTS should have the "RIGHT" to DISCRIMINATE! Dr.Paul thinks the Federal Government should not have the power to force States to comply with the Bill of Rights! Clearly you DISAGREE with Dr.Paul as you said,"The Federal Government should force the states not to discriminate based on race, religion, age, etc" And YES Business should also be FORCED to comply w/Bill of Rights, Civil Rights Act & Americans w/Disabilities Act!

PostSurgeOperative 2 months ago
@PostSurgeOperative
Video now!!!
nosleeze 2 months ago
@nosleeze I didn't contradict myself. Ron Paul admitted authoring at least some of the articles. However, he now claims they were written by ghost writers in his employ, over the span of a decade. If that is true, then he is an incompetent manager.
As PRESIDENT of Ron Paul and Associates, LLC, he is ultimately responsible for what he published. He is responsible for the work product of his employees. If he can't manage a few employees, then he's certainly not qualified to be POTUS.

PostSurgeOperative 2 months ago
@PostSurgeOperative
Otherwise, how the hell would you know if they were written in the first person?
nosleeze 2 months ago
@nosleeze Yes, unlike you and the rest of the Rongolian horde, I have actually taken the time to read a lot of the articles cited in these various reports on Ron Paul's racism.
The information about subscription rates is available in solicitation letters from Ron Paul himself, from tax records, and from the newsletters themselves. $50 bought a year's subscription to his 4 newsletters. Many reporters have unearthed tons of evidence. But hey, it's your right hide your head in the sand!

Acknowledging that a newsletter under his name exists is not the same as acknowledging the racist content of some of them. The media is distorting the truth here. Obviously he knew that there was a newsletter with his name that was supposed to discuss investment advice. He's not acknowledging the hateful content in the letters.
Shellshock1918 2 months ago
@Shellshock1918 Dr. Paul didn't acknowledge the racism in his newsletters in this interview, because most of the racist stuff appeared in his 3 other concurrently-published newsletters.
In 1996 interviews with the Dallas Morning News, he actually defended specifically-referenced articles, e.g., one which cited statistics regarding the criminal nature of Blacks in the D.C.-Metro area. He never denied authoring them, nor did he imply or in any way suggest they weren't his views.

rgiblin6 2 months ago
SirTenenbaum 2 months ago 26
@SirTenenbaum Ron Paul was PRESIDENT of 'Ron Paul and Associates, LLC', which was the private corporation HE founded as a vehicle for his publishing ventures, which included 4 newsletters: Ron Paul Political Report, Ron Paul Freedom Report, Ron Paul Survival Report, and the Ron Paul Investment Letter, in addition to various other pamphlets, and books. His wife, Carol, and his daughter Trish were both CORPORATE officers of RP and Associates, which reported $900,000 earnings in 1993.
PostSurgeOperative 2 months ago
@PostSurgeOperative Yes, Ron Paul founded the newsletters in the 80's and his name was attached to them throughout the 90's. The inflammatory material occurred in the 90's when Ron Paul focused on his medical practice and used ghostwriters to write the material of the newsletter which he unfortunately did not review before publication. The inflammatory material is not Ron Paul's character at all, and his campaign is not about race. Furthermore, earnings/revenue are very different from PROFITS.
SirTenenbaum 2 months ago
@SirTenenbaum Hitler didn't gas the Jews, his employees did!
Ron Paul scammed MILLIONS of dollars publishing racist, homophobic, antisemitic, and conspiracy-obsessed newsletters. As PRESIDENT of Ron Paul and Assoc, LLC, he is directly responsible for the newsletters he actively promoted, published, and distributed. In several interviews in 1994 he ADMITTED writing some of the most incendiary articles. The fact that he now denies it means he either LIED then, or he's LYING now.
PostSurgeOperative 2 months ago
@PostSurgeOperative I have tried but cannot find those interviews where you claim he admits writing the material. Can you post the links in another comment so everybody including myself can follow them? If you do post the links, I will assume they don't exist since I cannot find them (logically).
SirTenenbaum 2 months ago
@SirTenenbaum Actually, the interviews were in 96, when he was running for Congress.
/watch?v=78uJYGZfx4w
The point is that if Dr. Pol can't even manage a few employees--several of whom were his family members--as PRESIDENT of his own small business, then how can we have confidence he could effectively manage employees as POTUS? Perhaps you're unaware, but the job of POTUS is somewhat more demanding than the responsibilities of a small businessman and simple country twat doctor.
PostSurgeOperative 2 months ago
@PostSurgeOperative Read a reprint of an Oct 2001 Texas Monthly article titled "Dr. No". Ron Paul explains what happened in 1996. He was advised by his campaign to not explicitly say he did not write the content in order not to confuse people since the newsletter was in his name (this seems clearly the wrong choice). There is no direct quote in any interview in which Ron Paul said he wrote those articles. He never admitted to writing them like you said. Read the Texas Monthly article.
SirTenenbaum 2 months ago
@SirTenenbaum You're joking right? In the TX Monthly article, Dr. Pol ADMITS he LIED about his authoring the newsletters. HE FUCKING LIED. I don't care if the reason he lied is because some advisor told him to (although that makes it worse, imo), or if he lied because his impulse is to lie; the fact is that HE LIED during his campaign for Congress.
He also LIED in the Gloria Borger interview when he said he didn't know about the articles until ten years after.
HE'S A RACIST LIAR.
PostSurgeOperative 2 months ago
@PostSurge He should have said from the beginning that he did not write the newsletters. You can call him dishonest for not admitting he didn't write the articles, but you can't then call him a racist. But I imagine you'll do whatever you want. It is not at all in Ron Paul's character to do or say such things, and you admit yourself that didn't author the newsletters. His economic and foreign policy ideas are sound and much better than any other candidates. Ron Paul definitely still has my vote.

And, FYI, a recession is the reverse of inflation - How the heck does Ron Paul point at "pringint money" causing inflation when there is no inflation?

SirTenenbaum 2 months ago
@SirTenenbaum The gold standard is a stupid and archaic idea, and has no more validity than a system which pegs the value of our money to the price of oil, aluminum, or chicken feed, ftm. The real reason he pitches the gold standard and advises people to invest in gold is because he himself is heavily invested in gold companies and mining operations. Dr. Pol is NOT an economist, he just plays one in Washington. He's a twat doctor, a career politician, and a direct-mail scam artist.
PostSurgeOperative 2 months ago
@PostSurgeOperative Gold is a good form of money because its supply is naturally relatively fixed meaning that prices in terms of gold are stable. The dollar has lost 95% of its purchasing power since 1913. You think that doesn't hurt the poor/middle class? Their savings and purchasing power are destroyed through inflation. Gold retains its value because it can't be printed at will and inflated. Gold would preserve the savings and purchasing power of the average person. Gold is very good money.
