  • in my opinion, a much better knife than the Opinel or the german Mercator.

Very cheap, an incredible sharp blade, an original design, reliable and sturdy...

One of the best french knives ever made.

  • Hi, I'm using a Douk every day or so, since three years. Nice to see it is appreciated out of France.

I made another video about sharpening: "douk sharpening", before some cutting test. .

  • I want that... that is uber cool.

  • I really like your videos, good job buddy 5 stars!

  • Thank you :)

  • The Douk-Douk is one of those classic slicers. Made of 1075, and relatively soft, it takes an incredibly sharp edge and is often used in place of straight razors. I've heard of them being opened and having the handles peened closed as a makeshift fixed blade. They're really wonderful users.

  • Very nice Knife and gift Kyley, i have the exact same knife, and was a birthday gift.

    great video.

    Mike.

  • one like this is my actual urban EDC ;-)

  • Hi Kyley, I recall I think it was weaponcollector did a vid mentioning this type of knife, search out Douk Douk on web and you can find a good bit of info on it, where originated, why, history etc, really good interesting stuff. It's one of those knives that fit well into a collection of " knives from aroud the World " without raising a re-mortgage haha! A super present from and to any knife person, 5X5

  • I agree.. its a pretty neat gift for him to send me. I'm just getting to those videos you sent.
