  • i think that ram was sayin that paul said that his men saw nothing, but then later on paul says they saw somethng not so much as what they heard or didn't hear.

  • God is the Wizard of Oz, it's all a big joke really!

  • cHECK OUT TRY NREAD IT IN GREEK ... CAUSE U WRONG

  • But in neither account is it stated that his companions ever heard that Voice in the accusative case.

  • A good explanation is offered by Encyclopedia of Bible Difficulties by Gleason L. Archer.

In the original Greek, however, there is no real contradiction between these two statements. Greek makes a distinction between hearing a sound as a noise (in which case the verb "to hear" takes the genitive case) and hearing a voice as a thought-conveying message (in which case it takes the accusative). Therefore, as we put the two statements together, we find that Paul's companions heard the Voice as

  • i agree No contradiction here

In acts 9:7 they saw nobody but in acts 22 they saw a light.

In acts 9:7 they heard a sound but some translations say voice. The word used is not specific φωνης (phones) can mean either sound or voice

  • I agree the bible do contradict itself that's because it's not all there so you really cant believe it.

  • excellent job abu..put them rebel zeitgeist pussy's in there place..

  • Thank you for your kind words, sir, but I think we can be more gentle in how we refer to the gentlemen in the Rebel Alliance Media. Consider the following:

    SIRACH 5:11-13

"Be swift to hear; and let thy life be sincere; and with patience give answer. If thou hast understanding, answer thy neighbour; if not, lay thy hand upon thy mouth. Honour and shame is in talk"

I take that to mean we should try to patiently discuss those subjects we are able to speak on.

  • @AbuKhamrAlMaseeHee good cut

  • True scholarship here!

  • This is a great video. I liked the "irreverent" approach taken in explaining the apparent contradiction between Acts 9:7 & 22:9. What I loved the most was the music. What is the name of the song?

  • Your explaination is half right and just enough to silence those void of uderstanding.

  • MUCHTRIBULATION, could you elaborate on what you mean regarding my video being half right?

  • WOW!! this video was a TKO!!

excellent scholarship Abu! can no one contest this video. Its right and exact.

  • Nice job on this Abu.

  • FAVORITE 5*****

  • Greetings.I was waiting for someones views on RAM videos.5 stars*****

  • does not the niv have omitted verses, abu?

  • RAM, indeed, based on their own manuscript studies, the NIV lacks certain verses which appear in the KJV. They almost always have a footnote noting such.

Mind you, I was not endorsing NIV-onlyism. Rather I merely cited the NIV because it offers a different view, and the rest of the video explored why the NIV translated the relevant texts that way.

  • abu, i knew that's why you chose the niv. that's why every christian that i have encountered with this topic chooses the niv-it offers a "different view"

there's a host of videos in preparation. you, my friend, will be placed under the microscope of scrutiny. so do not feel comfortable.

  • RAM, let me be clear that the argument was not that the NIV is convenient for my position, and therefore wins by default. Note that from 2:30 onwards I note the possibility that others may just wave the NIV off as inserting apologetics into translation. So the video goes on to explore the Greek text, and other sources. Do you still assert that this is a contradiction?

Whatever the case, I look forward to your videos, though I don't know what you mean by "do not feel comfortable."

  • this video cut the hell out of you guys, it's funny because I was about to make the same type of video about this subject, but you guys can not refute this it's in the greek text so now you will have to find another excuse to heathens and non believers or you can repent brothers.

  • I see they still don't have an answer video for U yet.

  • Well, FPK, there's certainly no rush. They can take as much time as they need. I just hope that their forthcoming videos address the subjects I have touched on thus far.

  • aaaabbuuuu . . .

we read from the kjv. and uuuhhh, thanks for the challenge. you did more than the icgjc ever did.

  • RAM, sir, indeed, I am not saying anyone has to use this or that specific translation. However, translations themselves represent the interpretations of the translators. So by looking at different translations, we see different interpretations and understandings, which is a great precursor to examining the texts from which they were translated.

As for the ICGJC, with all due respect to those gentlemen, sometimes they fail (or choose not) to address the objections of their critics.
