guys i know what to do simply got xbox.com and sign in from there then recover your account on your xbox and it should work, it worked for me the reason i think it worked is because it knows that the account has already been signed in through te web on xbox.com

This didn't work but I did find a better way what I did was I deleted the account from my hardrive and I recovered it on my USB then moved it back to my hardrive hope this helps.

THIS IS HOW YOU SOLVE THE PROBLEM!!!!!

Go to xbox dashboard, My xbox, Settings at the end, Memory, highlight the harddrive your gamertag is on, then tap y, then click clear console cache. Then once its cleared, all you do is turn the xbox off. and unplug it for 5 mins, then turn it back on, then recover your account, and there you have it!!!!! Hope i helped!!!

i am an Xbox LIVE Beta game tester and the way you can fix this problem is to delete your gamertag and look for a corrupted file as well delete that to and clear cache go to your Xbox memory or hard drive then press y on your controller then clear cache then recover your gamertag that will work.

@xXSoccerdude7Xx Right So If You Want To Recover Your Account On To A Device Or A Memory Stick Wat I Would Do Is recover it on a friends account or if u have another xbox do on that . then once you have recovered the account on another xbox keep it on the xbox or your friends xbox then recover back and should work. Tell me how it goes.
