ive got the virgin tour on video which i taped back in the 80's but it was off the telly and they always cut out a couple of songs, angel isnt on thereor borderline

i have the virgin tour on VHS and it does suck that they didn't release the 3 missing songs! When i first found out like YEARS AGO... I was heartbroken! I personally think that this was one of her BEST concerts because it was her "first" and the songs were all HITS! Hopefully they will release it on DVD and hopefully in the future it could be the whole concert! I'd pay good money for it!

I personally think that the VT offers her best vocal performace out of all her tours - well, the girlie show and the reinvention tour were quite good as well, but too much lypsinc. And borderline here is definitely one of her best performances ever. Let's face it. I hope one day we'll see a good clip of this. Thank you so much slutgarden94.

actually the real reason that this wasnt released on video is because at the time, video prices were based on running time. Cutting out 3 songs on the VHS kept the video in a certain price bracket so the price down and was more accessable to the young fans who were buying the merchandise.

beacuase on may 25, 1985 (when the concert was shot)madonna thought her voice was weak when she performed angel, borderline and burning up and thats why those numbers dont appear on the vhs (dvd now)

this is borderline. Angel, rescue me, & Secret garden was performed live only and no videos. the rest of the songs is just like a songs that it is used to fill up the albums regarding "Don't stop".

I hope she does do this classic on the upcoming tour- it's still among her most-played recurrents in the USA- it's beloved, and just look at the cover versions we've seen in recent years. RE the lyrics- there's this version (where she starts singing the first verse, but then goes into the second), and then audio from another concert where she sings the full first verse in tact.

in 1988 i was at this record convention that was selling bootleg video concerts and i saw a madonna virgin tour live in nyc radio city music hall video tape there for sale.i wish i had bought it back then.i bought a debbie gibson out of the blue tour in kansas city bootleg video instead which had songs like between the lines live.i regret not buying the madonna video though instead.

i just DO NOT understand why Angel, Burning Up & Borderline where cut out of the VHS 80s release... 3 whole songs out!!! really haven't a clue. if it was released these days they surely would fill it up with tons of extras and would even probably add her peeing in the toilet to stuff the re-release and make it worth buying... the internet menace was far away at the time obviously
