Alright, lets be honest here. Back in the day I was a big time manson fan, spooky kids thru antichrist superstar. I really liked his sense of humor, the heavy thudding industrial thing, but i never fooled myself into thinking that anyone in that band was a musical prodigy!! The songs ARE really simple. always have been. Anyone who plays music could tell you how many times he recycles bass and guitar and rhythm parts! He ran out of ideas a long ass time ago! Alright, lets be honest here. Back in the day I was a big time manson fan, spooky kids thru antichrist superstar. I really liked his sense of humor, the heavy thudding industrial thing, but i never fooled myself into thinking that anyone in that band was a musical prodigy!! The songs ARE really simple. always have been. Anyone who plays music could tell you how many times he recycles bass and guitar and rhythm parts! He ran out of ideas a long ass time ago! Ive moved on, and like much more now.

@onthe165 agreed, i kinda stopped listening to him when i turned 25ish (prob before that, and for no real reason other than got bored of it), and i dont really like any of his stuff after golden age of grotesque (and that was mediocre at best) but portrait up to mechanical animals will always rock

Sure Eat Me, Drink Me was for the most part a disaster, but The High End of Low is truly Manson's best. I think it might be the most shocking thing he's ever done: create an album about his own frailty for a generation of people who all fancy themselves special and invincible.
It’s way too melodic and intimate for shallow douchebag metal heads to appreciate. It’s vulnerability terrifies them.
