  • Probably one of the greatest guitar solo ever!

  • This song is amazing..

Id be sitting in my bathroom getting high with my ipod listen to this song over and this song jus made feel like something else. like i was somewhere else

  • I need a beer to make this moment (while I'm listening the song) 'perfect'.

  • i heard some so called music expert say that solo sections where pointless, if they heard this and didnt change their mind they would deserve 50 lashes.

  • Great Song. Been a fan for a long time

  • there is honestly something just magical about this song

  • @ElAxeMan24 i too think that since the first time i listened this song. It can be described like notes inside tears are falling from the sky

  • Going to see these guys with anthrax and death angel :D

METAL FUCKIN RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • how is there 3 dislikes to this??? muppets!!! dont like it??? dont listen...

  • A friend who is indian often tells people "dot not feather" when describing himself, lol you gatta have a sense of humor.

  • American Indians that is \\♫//

  • All the Indians I know call themselves Indians.

  • Native American isn't politically correct. It's just correct.

  • 4o\m/

  • Indian is not Politically Correct. When America was founded they thought they landed in India, so they called the Native Americans Indians. It was a mistake that's never been corrected. Native American (not American Indian either), is the correct "PC" term.

  • @nanticommando shit we still have a football team named "the redskins"....I'm not even native american and that shit offends me.

  • @Turbo05Dodge thats because you are a tool with nothing better to do the sit around on your ass and think about useless shit.

  • Fart!!! Yay lol!

  • someone needed to use a condon, twice....

  • Alright here it is:

Tom Araya is Chilean(the fact his middle name is Enrique should tell you he is some part Latin), Joey Belladonna is Native American(of Modern-Day Canada) and Italian. Chuck Billy is of the Pomo Native Americans, who are indigenous to Northern California, ironcally(TestAmenT is from Berkley, California). I, on the other hand, am a much more complex mixture of races, but I know I am 1/8 Cherokee, 1/8 Italian, and some fraction of Scandanavian and just a little Scottish. :D

  • @cjdabes They're all human beings who love metal. Does it really matter where they come from?

  • @warfossil

I was clarifying the argument which was created prior to this comment. If you look below, there are comments debating over what Tom Araya, Chuck Billy, and Joey Belladonna's ethnicities are. I just wanted to set the record straight for those who were wondering.

  • @cjdabes Ethnicity doesn't define a person. That's a very narrow-minded view on morale.

  • @ChuckSchuldinerRIP0

    @ChuckSchuldinerRIP0

Wait a minute, what do you mean? I at no point claimed any ethnicity defined someone. There was a quarrel over the ethnicity of Tom Araya, Chuck Billy, and Joey Belladonna occuring. I was simply clearing up the cloud of smoke.

Trust me, if ethnicity defined a person, then we would all probably wish we were Swedish to be like Yngwie. Nonetheless, a person is defined by their personal characteristics.

  • @cjdabes Where people really arguing about the ethnicity of great Metal vocalist?

  • @ChuckSchuldinerRIP0 black people from south central, your arguement is invalid

  • This album has some kick ass solo's in it :)

  • damn this song is good

  • What an excellent tune! Can't stop listening to it. The intro is just stunning.

  • i loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • this song is a copy of THE LEGACY, musicaly speaking, all the riffs, styles, solos, harmonics vocals, but, I think this one is more beautiful than THE LEGACY.

  • @tagima Kinda of not really, the clean riffs sound similar but this has more solos.

  • Testament ..!!!! |m|

  • I'm half apache Indian and ducking proud!

  • @metalhead8754 Respect!!

  • Pomo NDN's Rock!

  • VERY POWERFULL LYRICS!

  • @TheMattTrivium Because they don't sound like something special and count on being cool badass guys, that are liked by some teens. For bands such as Bullet for my Valentine image is more important than the actual music. However, this is my opinion.

  • I cant stop listening to it... my friend thinks it's too slow but hasn't been listening to it, because there is so much music in it...

  • this song is orgasmic!

  • dude the introduction is mind bending.

  • Why the fuck on amazing metal videos is there always an argument about pointless shit. Im listening to testament i look in the comments to find other metals heads appreciation because no one listens to good music in my school, I Dont care which metal bands are better right now i dont care how much Justin bieber and all pop music sucks right now so just shut the fuck up and listen to the metal

  • @grimcow4000 what the fuck was the point of that comment anyways?

  • @FirePower3006 look at the comment right above ours and thats just one example of many

  • The solo starting at 0:50 is simple, but absolutely perfect and amazing. Testament has and always will rock. They are so bad-ass, yet have always been overlooked. As a metalhead for twenty years now, I see there aren't many bands out there who can compete or compare. Even now. If you love metal and you don't know about Testament...listen to them. You will see.

  • Absolutely excellent song on an excellent and overlooked album I think....

  • James Murphy is such a legend.

  • @MichaelMetalManiac Yeah the solo in this song is pure amazement

  • even without scholnick this is a great song from one of the most under rated bands from their era... testament deserves to be one of the big four. over even anthrax just for the fact that they stayed true to their music! you dont hear testament and public enemy songs out there do you thank god for that!

  • @Trendkiller76

I agree, Anthrax never could hold a candle to Testament with Alex or without him...thats just the way it is.

  • @1138thz shut the fuck up man antrax is great

  • @Estebanfuturo

make me shut up you fucking dumb ass fuck...you have your opinion based on your idiocy and I have mine based on my appreciation of music. Note: I never said Anthrax wasn't a great band...they just aren't as talented and creative as Testament. Learn to read you dumb fucking shit bag.

  • @Estebanfuturo do love ANTRAX.

  • 56,224 VIEWS, and only 1 dislike the song, I guess he hasnt read his TESTAMENT and dont know that this song is part of the top 10 on GOD'S IPod.

    Amen!

  • this song has an Alice In Chains-y feel to it... I love it!

  • @pirolysis You know, you're right. This sounds like pretty much every alice in chains album mixed together in one

  • return to serenity is for sure better than this song

  • a radio station...with actual metal! Maiden, exodus, slayer, Testament, megadeth, anthrax, KISS, queensryche, thin lizzy, overkill, sodom, warrant, armored saint, Sabbath, motley crue, great white, W.A.S.P, white lion, def leppard, judas priest, Dokken, journey, krokus, Loudness, metal church, Ozzy, quiet riot, RATT, Scorpions, Skid row, van halen, whitesnake, alice cooper, BLS, cinderella, DIO, Rainbow, annihilator, violent force, nuclear assault, helloween, autograph, etc. example of mine! ole

  • @TheMetalJackson leave out warrant, motley crue, W.A.S.P, (especially) white lion, dokken, journey, RATT, whitesnake, and cinderella from that list, then you got yourself a full on metal station, a couple others like BLS, violent force, and autograph I haven't heard of but about 85% of the bands you have listed would make about 100% of the metal community happy

  • @MusicJamin330

well actually, its what started metal(from my point of view) and what ive grown to love, especially dokken, but other than that, fuck yea! need more metal like this

  • @TheMetalJackson well actually the 2 bands that started metal were Black Sabbath and Judas Priest. Glam didn't really start until the early 80's when Black Sabbath and Judas Priest started in the early 70's. the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal started around the late 70's so Glam wasn't the start of it all, it was just a spinoff of it that eventually became mediocre

  • @MusicJamin330

well, i knew sabbath did start metal, cant forget that! just on what i GREW UP ON, but other than all that, all we need is metal

  • @TheMetalJackson yea, there needs to be a metal station in every state, yea theres classic rock and stuff but for pete sake, wheres the metal??? besides me starting a band, one of the things I wanna do is start a radio station where it plays nothing but metal from the roots all the way to now and I mean the REAL metal, not this "the devil wears prada" crap. That's for pussy's. and also to make new metal bands known into the world because alot of these bands never get credit when they need it.

  • @MusicJamin330

holy.shit. you just read my mind, yes yes yes! ha i know fuck that new metal shit! yes! holy shit dude for fuck sakes i actually know what you mean, we need a metalized station!!

  • @TheMetalJackson yea, i'm sure about 100% of the metal community would love to have a station like that

  • @MusicJamin330 On our cable stations here in Alaska they have a Metal channel that plays like a radio station through the TV. They play everything. From Testament to Bloodbath, to In Flames, to Old Man's Child and everything in between.

  • @bbeboutuaa yea same here but what about the car radio? people need to get pumped up before they go to work for pete sake! haha

  • @MusicJamin330 Wow you called Glam a Spin off? That is total BS. Glam Metal for one is its own form of music, if Glam is a spin off, you might as well call all these other sub genres a spin off to including Thrash.

  • @Wasp1984 Well you have to think, who was more influential? NWOBHM or Glam? Don't think glam was a big influence on Thrash. It may have inspired them because they hated Glam but that's as far as it goes. It was it's own form of music and so was Thrash but you have to think, where did their main influence come from? Early metal like Sabbath and Priest. Just like the NWOBHM but those bands are timeless. To me, Glam seems to be dated. That's because it IS. By the way, I actually like some Glam.

  • this song is kick ass i think one of there best

  • ..Set a trail to the promised land

Mother and child holding hand in hand....

Wierd but i have to cry when i hear this part.

All my respect to the past native americans they had to die or suffer from what happend.

  • This song reminds me of tresemme shampoo products (:

  • @BatmanBatman3 WT....

  • @skorpiondemetal O_o WHat Estupid? WHAT!

  • @BatmanBatman3 Tresemme shampoo? WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

  • @skorpiondemetal Nah Man Fuck You !!! SKull fuck Your HEad foo. see you n hell.

  • @JPJ3016 hell yea i seen them in cleveland with megadeth it was awsome :)

  • testament fuckin rulez, SLAYER, TESTAMENT, METALLICA and PANTERA FUCKIN RULEZ

  • I love this song and the melody. I take great pride in this song since I just learned my great, great gandfather and great grandfather had walked the trail of tears from Mississippi to Oklahoma. Now that's an honorable piece of heritage to know...so blessed to be a native american women.

  • @Pocahontabeauty ....my heritage is the Choctaw tribe....forgot that little tidbit

  • @Pocahontabeauty, I'm Cherokee and Comanche=P

  • @FuckTheWorld623 now im heading to arizona...navajo nation. im also half navajo.

  • @Pocahontabeauty Yah Ta Hey

  • @sixx3times hey what up.

  • @Pocahontabeauty I love the song and melody to and this song combines two things I am passionate about heavy metal, and native american culture (minus the native flutes of course hahahah) I wish there was a music video for this song though

  • @MetalMania33 dude i agree music video would be sooo awesome!

  • @MetalMania33 You have to see this video. It's called, The Longest Walk 2 kick off concert. Star Nayea belts some killer vocals along side Chuck Billy. It's killer. I too am native from the Navajo Nation.

  • @sixx3times whoa that sounds awesome fo you have a link for it? and awesome

  • @MetalMania33 Just type in The Longest Walk 2 kick off concert and then it should come up.

  • @MetalMania33 I actually think some native flutes would have made this song awesome.

  • @H2Zman I agree that would make this song awesome

  • @H2Zman U should hear the one with Star Nayea. She puts some native influence. An OOmph.

  • @8ringsofshaolin yea thats the version i have, it sounds really good almost better than the original.

  • To the people who are saying "so and so" is better then "so and so" it doesnt matter who is better to you!Everyone has thier own styles of music they like and hate so just stop wasting your time posting your useless THEY ARE BETTER messages when you could be listening to the music YOU like!

  • @pokefan50210

    HaHaHa! brilliant.

  • i love the theme of this song, im a big heavy metal fan but im also cherokee indian, so i grew up hearing stories like the one told in this song, this is a masterpiece!

  • @peacesells93 I respect you bro. There are a lot of Indians in thrash. Tom Araya, Joey Belladonna, Chuck Billy.

  • @arabianmetalhead99 tom araya is from chile -_- hes not indian

  • @slayersangelripper83 A Chileano is a native American. My cousin has a friend whom is from Chile and I asked him about it and he said tom is a Chilean Indian. He said Chile, is a mix of Latino, Blacks, White, and Native Americans. And Tom is the Native American Indian.

  • @arabianmetalhead99 really? thanks for the info bro, looks like i learned something today haha

  • @slayersangelripper83 Yup, no worries bro. Glad you learned something, keep on thrashing brother!

  • @arabianmetalhead99 the chilenos (not "chileanos") are the people of chile, not native americans -.- the area of tom, viña del mar (central area) has great influence of mapuches, which is the most influential ethnic group, but we can not generalize because the population is considered homogeneous, and 95% is madeup of whites and mestizos (where it would be tom) and black influence is seen mainly in the north :)

  • @teby95 My cousins friend is from the exact same place as Tom and they are consider Native Indians. I mean look at Tom he looks Native Indian.

  • @arabianmetalhead99 Tom Araya isn't indian, nor is Belladonna haha

  • @arabianmetalhead99 Excuse me Joey is my bad, but definitely not Araya

  • @SeeDubyaa Yes tom is a Chilean, a Native Indian from Chile.

  • @arabianmetalhead99 A Chilean its not a native indian from Chile, Chilean its just the name of the people born in Chile, like me

  • @burzum19861986 His ethnicity is a Native Indian, my cousins friend is from Chile, dude looks exactly like tom. Dark skin everything.

  • @arabianmetalhead99 Man, I AM Chilean, and im not an native indian (all im saying is that "Chilean" does not mean "Native Indian from Chile"). And im not sure if Tomas (spanish and real name of Araya) is really a native indian, he is more half-spanish and half-indian, like almost the 90% of people in Chile and in Latin-America

  • @burzum19861986

este weon no entiende jaja por suerte un chileno entendio

  • @burzum19861986 That's what I said he's half Indian and half Spanish.

  • @burzum19861986 90% of Latin America? Argentina, Uruguay and South Brazil are all European

  • @KalimaWarrior Me too. And ok, maybe i exaggerated, but most of the people in Latin America have at least one indian ancestor

  • @burzum19861986 Exactly. Being Chilean or Latin American in general has nothing to do with race. There are people of every race or race mixture in Chile just like the United States. The only difference is that Spanish is the official language in most of Latin America.

  • @arabianmetalhead99

excuse me but tomas araya is from chile

  • @fromhellrage Yeah he is a Native Indian. He also has some hispanic in him too.

  • @arabianmetalhead99

native indian?? tom was born here in chile, and ours indians are "mapuches" and no look like the usa natives.

  • @fromhellrage You got it confused a Native Indian is exactly what Tom is, so he is a Mapuche Indian than. That is the tribe he is from, like Chuck Billy's tribe is Pomo Indian.

  • Tom Araya is not an indian, he is chilean, I'm chilean so that kinda offends me you know? ;D

  • @juanfrap95 Mhmm, my cousin friend is a Chilean which is a tribe in the Indian race.

  • @arabianmetalhead99 lolwut

Tom Araya isn't indian. He is Chilean. I hate to break it to you but... us Chilean's aren't part of a tribe in the "indian race." Tell anybody from Chile that they are an indian tribe and they'll laugh their asses off. I most certainly did...

  • @arabianmetalhead99 I think that whole Death Angel is Indian.

  • @AlexPowerMetalhead Filipino. I think the singer is too.

  • @arabianmetalhead99 Oh yeah my bad...

  • @AlexPowerMetalhead Not a problem. I actually am not sure about the singer because he's white XD.

  • @arabianmetalhead99 Tom araya is chilean, like me, and we are not indians, man, i think "indian" its a racist word.

  • @lolhibitch That is not what I friend says whom is Chilean and Indian is not a racist word. What The Fuck? Hhahah

  • @arabianmetalhead99 Tha fuck? i didnt undestand, spell better

  • @lolhibitch Indian is not a racist term, do you live in American? Its a race of people.

  • @arabianmetalhead99 ok i was wrong, are you really arabian?

  • @lolhibitch Hhahah Damn I really hate the iphone =P, yeah my father is Arabian my mom is white. I meant America XD but yeah no problem man.

  • @arabianmetalhead99 indigenous, you mean? well, joey and chuck are, but tom araya is from chile...

  • @maxikpo147 Chileano do have some Indian in them, look at Tom.

  • @arabianmetalhead99 latino doesn't necessarily mean indigenous. at least i never heard araya say he was

  • @maxikpo147 They are a mix of Native Indian and Latino.

  • These guys are SOOOO underrated. TestAmenT have been a long steady constant in the shallow and dreary world of "heavy metal sell outs" These guys have remained True METAL....Long live TestAmenT. Excellent Band. Thank you guys for all your hard work and passion to make GREAT metal that is everlasting...

  • @theGDbatman8686 I wouldn't call Testament underrated at all, they just aren't really known outside the world of metal. Now Heathen, THAT'S an underrated thrash band.

  • this whole CD rocked.. I remember wearing this song out back in the day when I was in middle school. it still kicks ass!

  • This song makes me feel embarassed to not know my heritage better and also makes me wish I was as native to this land as I hope to think I am! No one in this country has a reason to bitch abouth anything except the true natives of this land!! We are all selfish immigrants in my eyes!!!

  • who could ever dislike this ? :| the beginning is so relaxing.. and after that it's just perfect and then relaxing again.. God! 8->

  • For such a heavy band....they put together pretty good slow songs if i must say. Im starting to love this band the more i listen to them.

  • @derbycityballer When did they make a rule that good music has to be fast?

  • @brendanbassist That's funny, the question used to always be "When did they make a rule that good music CAN'T be fast?"

  • @derbycityballer i said the same thing about the way your mothers sucks it. way too slow

  • Everytime i hear this it makes me feel proud to be native and yet a lil sad for the way my ancestors were treated... But at the end of it all im still proud.

  • @NdNsYkO5150 what tribe are you from?

  • @edgranillo im cherokee this song was written about my tribe

  • @edgranillo actually this song was written about the pomo indians lead singer chuck billy happens to be pomo indian himself so he wrote this song about his heritage

  • @MetalMania33 o no shit i always thought it was related to the cherokee indians because the trail of tears usually refers to them but anyways thanks for the info..
