I don't know and I cannot tell you now, since I sold my guitar last year. Anyway, one of the reasons why I decided to buy this guitar instead of other travel guitars was that the neck and frets were not smaller than in common acoustic guitars, which makes it perfect for practising... Hope this helps :)
Both Sinsonido models (steel string and nylon strings) have the same body and neck, which is more an acoustic guitar neck rather than a classical guitar neck. Anyway, it does not have an electric guitar neck.
Nice to meet you! I am looking for a practising and silent guitar so I can play at night, do you recommend Aria sinsonido? Also, the guitar shop in my place doesnt sell it, it is secure to buy it online? will the guitar easily be damaged during shipping?
Yes, I think it is a good option to practise at home late at night, since its volume is very similar to electric guitars when they are not plugged to an amp. Also you can use headphones directly.
How safe it is to buy this guitar online? It will depend on the seller itself. I sold mine in eBay and it arrived perfectly (I wrapped it in bubble plastic ;-)). I recommend you to inspect the seller's reviews given by other buyers before spending your money.
Yep! Not a beautiful guitar, but really comfortable and with a nice sound.
I posted a list of the songs I was playing months ago. The song you are asking is Autumn Leaves, a jazz standard which I knew by Eva Cassidy, although I don't play it exactly like her.
I plugged the guitar directly to a Line6 Toneport UX1 to record it in the computer, but didn't use any amp simulation. This is the closest to how the guitar sounds with earphones.
I was using steel strings, but it's easy to find other videos on youtube where you can hear a Aria Sinsonido with nylon strings. I think both sound quite sweet, I would choose one or the other depending on which style I liked...
Hey NICE! I'm considering a "skeletal guitar" and this one comes to mind. Have you played the Nylon cutaway version? If so, how does the guitar sound/feel?
However, in case it helps, I can tell you that both models are exactly the same except for the way strings are hooked in the highest part of the neck. Both neck and frets are standard size, and the bridge allows setting the strings in really low action, which makes it very suitable for practicing when you can't take a "real" guitar with you.
I had another "skeletal guitar" before which was cheaper but also wasn't so well designed and made. Playing it was annoying and after few months I decided to get rid of it and buy the Aria model, which I kept until now.
Alright! Thanks so much for the info! Anyway, one last question. Have you tried the Yamaha Silent Guitar? If you have, how does that compare to yours? THanks! Much appreciated!
I'm afraid I haven't tried the Yamaha model, because what I was looking for was a travel guitar, which wasn't too heavy and which could be disassembled to carry it in planes, etc. I think the Yamaha guitar is just a silent guitar and thus, it can't be disassembled.
Also, as far as I remember, the Yamaha model was more expensive than the aria one.
Tha Yamaha can be disassembled, i tried it before getting my SinSonido, the sound of the Aria is better than the yamaha, more vivid the yahama sounds hollow and plain
Nice :) Can you post a list of all the stuff you played there? I recognise a lot of it but I can't remember what they're called :D Much appreciated if you can do that :)
