  • By the way, the music and sounds on this version are wonderful! Thanks for posting!

  • Absolutely loved the unicorn. Next to KQ6, this was my favorite followed by 8.

  • Talk to dward. lol Anyhow, thanks for posting this video. It's really cool. I can watch this one clip as opposed to watching the same thing on 6 different clips. It's a time saver. :)

  • Everytime one of the dwarfs goes in front of the fireplace...lol

  • @Subatomic1000 I see what you mean. Awful lewd of them to do that right in front of Rosella.

wht kind of house is that

  • I remember playing this game on my Aunt's computer. Seriously had no idea what to do in this game. I recently downloaded it, along with helpers guide. It's a little different playing it, now that im older, but still FUN !

  • I remember play this game and having no idea what I was doing.

  • Compore the sound with the PC version!

    Amiga rulez..

  • @monkeyislandclub Uh, The music is FAR inferior to the PC version (excluding pc speaker). This was a lame port, and didn't even come close to taking advantage of the Amiga's hardware.

  • Wow, they don't make games like this anymore. I always wondered what was so good about KQ games and after watching this longplay I know. This game has magic in it(and awful walking on the stairs it seems).

  • You should check out KQ6, it's the greatest of them all, I believe this one (KQ4) follows close behind it as well.

And your right, unfortunately they don't make games like this anymore, because unfortunately kids seem to think blowing things up and blood spatter are just so much more interesting than well thought out stories and puzzles. They don't know what they're missing.

  • I am nostalgic for these games, too, but to be honest, I think the stories were pretty thin and the puzzles nonsensical and/or arbitrary. They don't make games "like these" anymore, but the adventure game is not quite dead yet. Games like Grim Fandango, Indigo Prophecy and Longest Journey (the last adventure games I played) had real stories and character development (though aimed at an older demographic than the fairy tale thing).

Google ""death of adventure games" for a fun article on this.

  • @ribsngibs

At the same time, this was also when home computer games were still a novelty. Most didn't (and for that matter still don't) play to hear a good story, they wanted to figure out the puzzles. There are games "Like that" still these days; most of them exist as online flash games found all around the web and can still be quite fun.

  • Well, I actually found it, it seems to be the second game of these series - "Romancing The Throne"... And it is already uploaded, so... have to find time to view it. Never had time, and nerves, to finish only this one... Thanks to the uploader once again!

  • Nice playin'! :-) I thought it was another game, though... One with a marmaid princess to be met and a bridge that could be crossed only five times, I think... It had worse graphics than this one and might be made by Lucas Arts... Please, if the author of this video or somebody else has an idea which one I am talking about... I will be grateful to see its longplay too...

  • Good job, love those sierra games
