  • I work at a humane society and I can tell you that sometimes it isn't the shelter, but the town that won't alow cats to go outside. They have to go by these rules becasue of contracts that they have with the city. Some of these things you complain about are just common sence, look them up if your that stupid.

  • well what'cha gotta do is get about 5 dozen eggs, mix the FUCK out of em, and what do you get? PENIS!!!!!!!!! 8=========D

  • You should delete this video and find something better to do with your life than bash people trying to find abandoned animals good homes. Disgusting.

  • I worked for a shelter for two years. I had to have that conversation with people just like you. Shelters have strict rules because the workers & volunteers are invested in the animals. Being in a shelter animals are exposed to URI. So if they are sent home to a house filled with smoke, they get sick. If they are let outside, they can catch something like FIV from other cats, or being attacked by an animal. You might mean well, but this is how we protect our animals. Pls take your vid down

  • She is wrong! :c

  • I dont know why all the hate on this video , on one side yes the video is stupid due to her saying that they shouldnt come for home visits bla bla bla .. i think the home visit is a good idea and some of the other "rules" are good ..

But on the other hand some of the rules are a bit too far , also i like how you said about the whole world having stupid regulations and rules now , that is soo true and NOTHING is done these days until everything is made baby-proof !!

  • I know what your saying but you shouldnt say they suck! They save so many animals!

  • how old are you? seriously, they make the rules to try to keep the animal safe, they know that it wont prevent people from abusing but the rules are so that animals dont go roaming around the neighbor hood and get hit by a car, or ingest something that could be the cause of that cancer your other cats have had. you are ignorant, i dont care if you say "oh i was mad when i made the video" DELETE THE VIDEO! grow up! you have gray hair you arent 12 anymore!

  • The HUMANE SOCIETY does not opperate ANY shelters. I feel this must be pointed out. If it is the HSUS(the Humane Society of the United States) they do not have any shelters and are against any form of pet ownership and an animal rights and NOT welfare organization. They are evil money grubbing bastards. Just figured I would point this out. My father is a veterinarian and they have constantly called him to donate money...for NO shelters.

  • @gat0rbball wow you are ridiculous. Maybe i miss read what you wrote but wtf are you even saying??!!! The animal humane society is against animal rights? really? not sure what you are talking about but you sound like an ignorant fool.

and this video is ridiculous seriously get a life and move out of your parents house. i've met 6 year olds that are more intelligent than you are. this video made you sound really selfish and dimwitted.

  • @jesscook28 I am saying that the HSUS IS an animal rights organization. They are NOT an animal welfare organization like they try to show themself off as. I miss typed on the post. The organization is a joke. They have NO shelter. They suck.

  • @gat0rbball You might be right that they don't have shelters, their website says that they have "sanctuaries". To me that implies that they have "no kill" shelter facilities. And even if the HSUS doesn't have shelters but they do have great programs. Look up "End Dog Fighting in Chicago". They go into neighborhoods and find people who do dog fighting and convince them to do agility courses instead. They also investigate cruelty cases, since most law enforcement won't.

  • @beatricebucks WOW. That is VERY naive of you(this is not an insult...you just haven't been exposed to the dark side of HSUS). They do not opperate ANY no kill shelters. Oh and let's not forget that the HSUS has also been on the side of kill shelters numerous times(which I have no beef with. I believe in animal euthansia because my father is a veternarian). Their programs are TALK and not action. It is the difference between protesting starvation and giving food to homeless people.

  • And yes they should inspect your house... You want them to just take your word for it?... How do they know the conditions of your home?... If you don't like the rules, then get the cat from somewhere else... And its not just your life... its the animals life as well... For someone who says they love cats, you sure don't act like it.

  • Well, you gotta understand that they put those rules to protect the animal... They want to prevent. You gotta remember, animals that go outside are exposed to all kinds of danger. Getting ran over, someone doing something to them, catching some sort of disease from other animals that are in the street, etc... They are much safer. You gotta treat your pets like children. You don't let kids run out alone don't they?... I mean seriously, I feel you are being very selfish.

  • I understand what you're saying, don't worry about what the fallacies of these self righteous haters. If your area is safe outside and your cat has all their shots, there shouldn't be a problem. My cats have always been indoor-outdoor cats and there have never been any issuesa because my area is safe for animals to go outside. No matter what these know-it-all animal shelter volunteers are telling you there is NO law against letting your cat outside. Perhaps find a kitty from another place?

  • Comment removed

  • Didn't you say it was a no-kill shelter? Then they won't kill it for no reason. You can get a pet from someplace other then a shelter. Most animals in shelters have already come from a bad homelife, or were abandonded, or mistreated. Our Shelter wants our animals to go to a PERMANANT home. So we have to be careful who we give the pets to. Just get a free one out of the paper if you can't abide by the requests of the animal shelter. They don't make money saving animals.

  • Indoor only cat - this is to lessen the chance of the cat running away, or getting injured. Just like people are not supposed to have dogs off leash running around a neighboorhood, you should not have a cat running around lose outside. it's not safe for the cat. Leash train it, or get an outdoor enclosure. How many dead cats do you see on the side of the road? Those could be avoided by simply taking the proper steps if you "must" let the cat outside.

  • What you say Kristen makes perfect sense....Totally agree...Cheers to you

  • I get what you mean how people try to control people and I agree that it is wrong, but really they have these rules to protect the animals. I volunteer at my local humane society and the reason they do this is because these animals are already from bad homes or they were strays so they want to make sure the rest of their life is good and the animals are safe and happy. Adopting from a humane society is the best way to get an animal, so go there and try again, tell them that your dad only smoke

  • yeah wasnt it great back when America was about being free to do what the fuck you wanted! man those were the good old days.

  • I know what you mean by being sick of the people who want to dictate to everyone, but they really are looking out for the animals best interest. By saying that the cats can't go outside they are making sure that the cats will never get hurt or eaten by other animals or cars. The cats would need a micro-chip or collar because if they ever got lose or ran away. I have a cat too, and she is allowed outside. But they are looking out for the animals best interest.

  • What you need is to stay away from the donuts.

  • @Schlange556 Fuck you, loser. What YOU need to do is stop being a troll, move out of your mom's basement, and get a job/life.

  • @SickMouth Nice reply, think of it all by yourself? Get a life/job etc. The final argument of the internet retard. The fat broad still needs to stay away from the donuts and you need some kind of behavioral counseling.

  • Comment removed

  • @Schlange556 I need behavioral counseling because I think you're a fat-hating dumbass? Because I feel that someone's else's size isn't your business? No one is perfect, certainly not you -- as you've demonstrated so wonderfully by saying immature shit irrelevant to the topic she was covering -- and so, insulting someone based on anything but their intellect is just TROLLING.

  • @SickMouth You live under a bridge making troll house cookies, don't you?

  • @Schlange556 *yawn* Better than living in my mom's basement at age 43 commenting on the appearances of others because I'm so insecure about my own.

  • @SickMouth Once again you have managed to fail. I expect that you are quite used to that.

  • @Schlange556 Failing indicates that I've said something that is false, and since I did not because you actually do live in your mom's basement and are an immature ass, then I have not failed. So ironically, is it you who has failed.

  • @SickMouth No, what you have said is just stupid. I'm guessing that you're a big girl too aren't you? That's ok, I hear there are guys that are into land whales. Try not to wipe out the buffet.

  • @Schlange556 So childish, Mr. Troll. SO childish.

  • they just want the best for the animal. they dont want them to go through this again. they do home inspections NOT to make sure ur house is clean, but to make sure you can provide the animal with what it needs. i would know this. i volunteer. so u think theyre trying to "control ur life" well theyre not. they just want the best for the animal. how did u not realize that?

  • @xDontBreakMyHeartx I know. I was just upset when I made the video. I didn't want to lie to the Humane Society, because we let our cats inside and outside.

  • I think your stupid because you don't know what your talking about. I would NEVER give you any kind of animal if this how you act..

  • There is certainly no shortage of cats, of all thngs. Put some milk on the porch, one is bound to wander in.

  • Oh and p.s for the people who are being so rude and CLAIMING there all business owners, how you talk clearly shows your lying. I would hate to see how you talk to your customers if your actually telling the truth. And for the guy who apparently has been a pet foster parent and told kristen to "STFU", your not a teen so stop with the slang. Have a nice day!

  • You know Kristen i agree with you 100%. They made it seem like you were adopting a baby from africa for crying out loud. Although since the cats there are probably locked in cages they would most likley be use to staying inside. Its still ridicious though. And an inspection? That is a COMPLETE invasion of privacy! There shelter workers not the police! who do they think they are?! Also it does seem like everyone is trying to tell people what to do! Keep up with the great vids and i wish you luck!

  • Let's just get this out of the way to begin with: You are an idiot. Because the humane societies are looking out for the animals, they're jerks? You're absolutely insane, and every single aspect of your argument is not only straight out wrong, but ignorant. It's not about telling you how to run YOUR life, it's about the ANIMAL, you ignorant ponce. I just adopted a dog from the HHS and had an amazing experience, every member of staff cares more about those animals than you could ever imagine.

  • @LithAmoniel What if they decided you shouldn't be allowed to let your dog outside? I know they are looking out for the animals, but maybe I know what is best for MY animals in my area. I don't really hate the humane society. I was just mad anyway, but thanks for calling me an idiot.

  • @ichbinkeinberliner No need to thank me, I call them like I see them. It's obvious you were upset and recorded this out of anger instead of genuine outrage (i.e. your arguments are easily broken apart and logically unfounded), but to insult an organization who are doing their best to keep these animals safe is disgusting.

  • @LithAmoniel Boo hoo, she has good points you PETA freak.

  • @SickMouth Troll-o-lo-lo-lo, deet

  • Comment removed

  • And as for the comments about inspections, from what I seen in the video the clutter behind you should be cleared out weather your being checked for a pet or a child. Also people do take offense to being called 'Retarded", no different than you taking offense to being called"FAT, LAZY,STUPID,ETC." You contradict yourself. I feel the shelter saved a pet from your insanity. I'll welcome your comments at any time, just leave me info on how to get ahold of you :) P.S. It obvious you eat meat.

  • You are obviously a vile and hateful person.

  • As for supporting the shelters, I myself am a business owner who has rules and regulations for employees and customers. If you can't handle them then I don't need to pay you and I don't need your business that bad. Get off your bottom and out from behind the cam and find something more productive to do than be pissy because you got turned down for a pet. Spring is just around the corner, go make friends with a squirrel. The shelter thought of the cats welfare first, so get over.

  • @darrensdiva I didn't get turned down for a pet. I just didn't want to lie to the Humane Society and pretend like I was never going to let my cat outside.

  • REALITY CHECK! These shelters help give these animals a second chance at life, no different than your Dr. giving u one after a massive heart attack or stroke. They would give u rules and regulations and"CONTRADICT" how u should live your life. Animals depend on humans to care for them and make sure they are safe and healthy just like your Dr. would tell u, but you probably don't follow their instructions either 'cause that would be following their rules and contraditions which u don't like!

  • Also, you say it's your life and you don't want people dictating what can/can't do. Well, it's the Humane Society's life too and they can have their rules and don't need you trying to tell them how to run their place.

  • If you dont like the humane society rules, why not just go get a cat out of a classified ad somewhere else? It's their business, their rules. The animals they have, most went through enough torment and abuse, the rules are in place for these animals for their health and safety, not for you and your wants. They are just ensuring these animals are going to the best possible home. Dont knock a shelter thats doing whats in the interest of the animal.

  • you realy like hello kitty huh

GIVe IT UP YOUR LIKE 40!

  • dear god shes like a giant inflated pancake

  • OMG, you have me rolling with that pancake comment

  • @luvak924x7

YOU AINT GOT NO PANCAKE MIX!!!!

  • They want to dictate what you eat and tell you not to smoke? Well because its GOOD ADVICE! Heart disease people! Go for a walk! and please stop positing pointless stuff on the internet.

  • you should get a dog so u can walk him. it'd do you some good to get some physical activity into your life

  • @ChidoriAnbu

You're a bitch, this woman is brave enough to show her face online in front of thousands of people, and you wanna call her out on a physical feature rather than her argument.

  • I just threw up a little bit in my mouth watching this video... kiki and squiki? oh lord... I agree with you though, people are stupid... I'm not going to name any names.

  • I've been a foster volunteer with the Arizona Humane Society since 1996. I know that they care very deeply about all the animals they care for and adopt out. In Arizona, outdoor cats have a life expentancy of 2-3 years - cars, dogs and coyotes get them. So quit your bitchen. I can't believe how you've gone on and on about the AHS taking you away from your parents because you're "fat" or because your father smokes. They DO NOT INSPECT YOUR HOUSE. You are making this shit up so STFU!!!!

  • They told me they do inspect the houses when I called them. I have always had outdoor/indoor cats and they have ALL died from old age issues...except one that got cancer and died younger.

  • There is no way they told you they inspect homes. I've volunteered in the adoptions center before and we all know that the AHS does not have the time nor the resources to inspect homes so there is no way you were told that. They are very passionate about the animals they adopt out as they don't want any harm coming to them. I've fostered hundreds of abused and neglected animals for the AHS. Cats allowed outside have a greater chance of dying young- you've been lucky so far with your cats.

  • sorry you lost me at "i am mad"

  • wtf I've just seen? Miss, stop posting pointless crap videos on the internet.

  • To get a pet from the humane society you have to give them the answers they want to hear. I agree they are militant. Figure out the "correct answers" before you go.

  • I agree.

  • ... okay, letting your cat outdoors can lead to so many different problems. a car goes by, and the cat is dead. a racoon comes along and the cat is dead.

Smoking is horrible for you,and your animals around.

indoor cats should be microchiped because just incase it runs away, and same with the collar.

You should really do some research before you go off telling the world this, and the humane soicties just want the cat to have a good home.

  • My cats are fine and they go outside every day. There's a possibility that an indoor cat can drink some cleaner solution and die. I was told some things used to mop floors can kill a cat.

  • Somethings to mop floors can also kill a person. Do your research.

  • Exactly. What I am saying is things in the house can kill your cat. It can kill a person too. So if you're going to argue that things outside can kill a cat, well, things inside can too. I don't need to do any research

  • i hate howeverything is mircro chiped

  • A point I'd also like to make is that outside cats cause extreme damage to local ecosystems simply because they have no natural predators. They kill tons of birds and other wildlife.

Also, keeping a cat inside protects it from the risks of dog attacks, disease from other cats among other things. Personally, I think it's a more responsible thing to do for your cat, in more ways than one.

  • you have obviously never had a cat that goes indoors and outdoors. they don't destroy the ecosystem. you are just making that up. they are lucky if they kill one bird per year, and let me tell you, we have a ton of birds in our yard. they also rarely kill other animals. you are speaking from a perspective of inexperience.

  • hahahahahahaha wow....idiot.

  • I actually have owned a few indoor/outdoor cats. One killed several birds a year, at least until he contracted a terrible eye infection that left him without depth perception. And then he went out one day and never came back. I think he was hit by a car. My perspective does not chalk up to inexperience.

Do some research on the ecological impact of domestic cats on local fauna. Consider if every outside cat is catching birds. And then there are the feral cats. You can count, right?

  • A cat killing a bird is normal nature. You know how many birds are killed my wild animals? I think the birds are fine. You're seriously that worried about birds??

  • Oh wow, you really don't get it do you? Cats natural instinct is to hunt small birds and prey. My friends cat is an outdoor cat, it constantly brings home dead squirrels, chipmunks, birds, you name it, if it's small enough it'll go after it. Don't think your kities are all innocent just because you call them cutesy names!

  • ...honestly those comments scared the crap out of me, people who put their cats in danger like that do not deserve to have pets. And yes, that is refered to you (video post). I see you were just "mad" that they had such rules, but I agree with the Societies 100% people just do not get pets are not throw aways...and should NEVER be let outside. I don't even get the point of adopting a cat and then letting it go outside, it's doing nothing but putting it in danger, not helping whatsoever.

  • I don't "throw away" my pet by letting it outside. that is ridiculous. I don't live in the city and I don't live where there are wolves or other animals that would harm the cat. you are completely unaware of how a cat can go both in and outside and live a long and healthy life!

  • wow...you honestly didn't get what I said...but nice try. A "throw away pet" is not just letting them outside, how have you not heard that saying yet?! And if it's so damn safe for cats to go outside then why are COUNTLESS numbers of cities and evern state putting bans on it?! Oh yeah, it's not safe...at all. You don't deserve a pet, easy as that.

  • what's your problem they only want to make sure the animal to go to the right home

  • I was afraid they would not let me have a kitten, because I wanted to let it inside AND outside. The agency says they cannot go outside ever. I have kind of changed my mind since watching this show "Hoarders."

  • Look you have had many cats, and i am sure that you have heard stories of cat/dog mills, abused and abandoned dogs/cats. So i am surprised that you are questioning the agency/society. These guys are looking out for these cats, so then what do you suggest, if you believe that regardless of the rule put in place, should the society's do? These people do not want to have the cat traumatized and abused once again. And no its just not a cat, it is a living creature, it needs respect, food and shelter

  • I think I changed my mind after watching the show "Hoarders." There was this woman who had like 71 cats and 40 of them were dead plus they kept finding skeletons! OMG it was soooo horrible! I was just upset when I made this video, because I wanted a kitten, but I was afraid they wouldn't let me have one. :( I need to make another video retracting what I said.

  • Wow really skeletons! oh that's disgusting, well i am glad you were able to do some more research, and i guess understand why they have so many rules. Although i do have to agree that the cats can NEVER go outside is a bid over the top, they have them to protect the animals. good luck finding a cat:)

  • They care for their animals. Hence why they do home inspections... I think it's a good policy.

  • You just have to tell them that they're indoor only... Mine is SEVENTEEN and has gone out every day her whole life... Just say they never go out... it's not like they'll know... Good luck with that.. But PLEASE adopt don't shop ;) You can always go to the pound. THey don't give you so many problems. thanks!

  • Your an idiot. Where I live there is a bylaw that cats are not allowed to run free. They dig up my garden and rip open garbage bags and get hit by cars. There is no reason a cat should run large. You are endangering them. I get cat traps from my local humane society and if the cat enters the garden it goes to the shelter. If dogs can't run free why should cats??? You should never be allowed to have a cat again.

  • Exactly! People who don't understand that, don't deserve a pet.

  • While there do need to be rules in society to protect people and animals, society is heading toward a very scary level of control over people. It's frightening, but the cause is clear: People continue to abuse power and freedom to such an extent that, in the end, we all lose freedom. This will only get worse. Soon parents will be forced to microchip their own kids. Just wait.

  • The use of words like "stupid" and "retarded" did not help your case. So many people nowadays forget no man is an island. What you do in your life, while your business, can and does affect everyone around you.

"The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated." - Gandhi

  • If we didn't have agencies like HSUS, ASPCA and PETA constantly fighting for animals' rights, we'd have even more millions of animals neglected, abused, abandoned and killed every year. Volunteer or work at a humane society then come back here and tell the world they "suck."

  • "Why does it have to be some agency telling you what to do with your cat?"

Maybe because you went to their place of business and asked to adopt one of their animals? Or maybe because there are 8 million homeless cats and dogs and they don't want to give an animal to a less-than-forever home?

  • First off, I'm sorry to hear you lost a beloved pet.

  • I have no sympathy for you, there is a reason, a good reason they have these rules, and they do a really good job of explaining why these rules are in place. It's to protect the cats not from the owners, but form the unknowns that harm cats, disease animals coming in contact with your cats, cars, animals of prey, and sick people who love to hurt animals. These rules are made for the animals, not for you.

  • um I would get the microchips but spay/neuter heck no, im sorry but thats past the line.... god, the thought of that...

  • it needs a microchip inside because your cat could possibly get outside. DONT GO OFF ON GOOD PEOPLE BECAUSE THEY ARE TRYING TO HELP YOU!

I vounteer at my local shelter and they make all those rules because they are trying to make sure cats go to a good home and dont have to be scared again.

besides its not like not helping us would make us worse. Just think what you said though because it makes scense.

  • they want to keep cats as indor cats because nothing good comes from letting them roam if they do have claws they will hurt other animals and if they dont have claws they will get hurt OR possibly die!! so dont call shelters stupid because they are trying to save your animals! if you talk to them about the deatails about putting them on a leash. They arent telling you what to do and if they are there is probably a good reason!!!!!!

  • i am one of the hundreds that proudly represent the tri-county humane society. they are making sure that there animals live as long as possible! we aren't dictating anything. what if someone like an animal abuser or hoarder. YOU FAT DUMB ASS!! SHELTERS SAVE LIVES BITCH! NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR CATS!!!

  • it's people like you that make people dislike animal shelters. quit being an asshole and an ignorant dipshit.

  • fuck the humane society a year a go i took my cat to the humane for a rash y the noose and they tell there was nothing they can do but to put her to sleep just for a fucking leatle rash so i said fuck you humaine people i went and got a fungis cream from wallgreens and shes perfect all they want in money from people fuck yo humane society your not getting a fucking penny out off me muther fuckers

  • I really just think you are misinformed and like I said you should really go and volunteer. I have worked for the Humane Society for three years and I can tell you by volunteering you would look at the situation in a whole new light. I hope you take the opportunity to get further educated. All negative videos like this do is hurt animals and hurt funds that go to help animals. I would really consider taking the time to talk to your local animal rescue agencies and find out more.

  • I was just upset when I made this video. I've donated to the Humane Society before and I know they aren't terrible. I just don't think they should exclude future owners based on ONE factor like whether or not the cat goes outside. AND people shouldn't throw vitrol at me and tell me I'm an idiot and a bad cat owner, because I don't agree with the Humane Society rules.

  • Where do you think half of the cats at the Humane Society come from? Cats have a tendency to stray. If your cat escapes I would hope you would want to have a collar on it and to have it microchipped. I think you should go and volunteer at the Humane Society and get educated on the cat problems in your area so you can get a better understanding on why they have those regulations.

  • I am NOT against microchipping and collaring and licensing cats and having them go to the vet to be spayed/neutered and to get shots!!! GAH! I guess half of the cats who end up at the Humane Society have ESCAPED from being inside cats, because they WANT to go outside, but don't know how, because their owners have kept them indoors all of their lives! My cats KNOW where their house is!!!

  • - Jesus god is it obvious that you ate a lot of sugar and meat.

The tricky thing about being an idiot is that, as an idiot, you can't properly identify yourself as an idiot. This is your problem. If you are too stupid to understand the fundamentals of pet care, we're not trusting you with a pet we've fed, sheltered, loved and paid for.

Although you're right on one part - you should go build that fountain. If we're lucky, you're the one who'll fall in.

  • wow. you are a total asshole!

  • and by the way, you miserable prick, I used to be a vegetarian, so go fuck yourself!

  • - "It's like harder than adopting a child" HURRR DERP A DERP. Adopt kids often?

    - No, we can't weed out every abuse case, but those rules are in place to help. Have you seen the statistics regarding humane society policy and animal abuse? No? Of course not.

    - You constantly whine about people telling you what to do, and then tell us how to run our shelters. You are retarded. And, like you, I am not sorry for using that word.

  • - The inspection thing is BS. It's on a shelter-by-shelter basis, and you'll only EVER get inspected if we have reason to believe you'd be a poor owner.

    - The spay/neuter, microchip and vaccinations are *already done* in most humane societies and are covered in the adoption fee. We're asking you to take basic care of your pet. Christ.

-"If your cat's gonna be inside, why does it need a microchip?". Because nothing could possibly go wrong, right?

  • and what? you assume I don't spay/neuter, microchip and give my cat shots just because I see some problems with humane societies? the humane society should be lucky to find cat homes as good and loving and conscientious as mine!

  • - We're not trying to dictate your life, we're trying to make sure you aren't retarded enough to do something that negatively impacts the cat's life. Like, say, have your ass-backwards opinions impact the kitten's care.

    - Your metaphors are terrible.

    - You say your older cat is skittish. If you knew anything about cats, you'd know that it could be psychologically distressing to introduce a young cat into an older cat's territory.

  • Humane society volunteer here, this video is bad and you should feel bad.

    - Indoor-only cats live five times longer, not twice as long. Just because you have a massive sample of two cats doesn't make you an expert on the matter.

    - Neurological problem? Are you honestly qualified to diagnose that?

    - We're no-kill. A cat we don't give to you won't die, it'll go to a better owner.

  • Not all humane societies are no kill you loser! I've had more than two cats by the way. So, where is your actual DATA about how long cats live? Do you know how long my cats live in my house? No you don't AND you don't have any actual data either.

  • when i got my cat from the humane society they didnt inspect my home. Also you had an option to have the trial period to see if your cat got along well in your house or you could just take it home that day. I don't think they even asked about smoking. I think they didnt want my cat we got to go outside because it didnt have the shots for diseases that cats can get outside. Also getting the cat neutered made perfect sense. Perhaps the humane society you called ran things differently.

  • Read the newspaper.....they're full of free cats & kittens.

  • it's in the best interest of the animal, don't be selfish, you sound a little dramatic, and go on a diet you fat fuck

  • So sorry to hear about Kiki and you had a great thought to go to the Humane Society. But I have to say, just as you don't want people telling you how to live your life, an agency that has many years of experience with animals and humans--you aren't qualified to tell them what they should be doing. There are reasons. They WOULD NOT rather see ANY animal die!!! I would recommend becoming a volunteer--see what they see--on a regular basis. Only then could you see why these rules are important.

  • Human society sucks b/c ppl like you put videos on the internet

  • Look, they're giving you all these rules for the safety and well being of your new cat!

Humane societies are places where they bring cats that have been through pain and/or have been abused! They just want to make sure the cat lives in a safe environment, and i think they are doing an excellent job at that. If you don't like the rules, you don't have to blame them! They just don't want cats to die, and i know you don't want that either.

  • "INDOOR ONLY" ??? thats crazy !! cats are MUCH happier outside!! My cats are always outside ! and yea, thats crazy ! "they would rather kill cats" than let them be in a happy home with the chance of them being outside !

  • If you were a fat kid? Pfft.

  • Amen! Go get a job and leave hello kitty for the kids.

  • they made me sign something saying they could come to my house if they wanted. That's cool. I don't plan on abusing my cats. I just don't want them to come hang out with my cat because they seemed to have some detachment issues, made me wait forever. Okay. I understand. Don't be creepy. I changed his name too :P

  • i think you need to do resarch, the inspection is manditory. They make sure you dont have cords, dangerous objects, ect on the floor and some people come in to adopt, and they are really back yard breeders, dog fighters, or horders. i think you need to get your head checked

  • I know what you mean, why not let a cat enjoy life contently outside with the risk of dieing, instead of making them have a bad, long life staying inside the whole time?

  • You are absolutely ridiculous. The people at the Humane Society are only trying to make sure the innocent, helpless animals are given to a good home. Don't down someone who is just trying to help animals. I for one think that they're rules are for the best. People like you are the reasons why millions of animals are put down every day. Grow up.

  • love hello kitty!!!!!!! i love you room!

  • If you let your cats roam outside, how do they still differ from big rats?

They eat garbage, small wildlife and corpses, mate and breed with feral cats, poop and pee on the neighbour's roofs and gardens, in public grass lawns and children's sandboxes.

How dare you talk about freedom, when you are unleashing your oversized rats on the neighbourhood?

  • wtf?

    keekee and squeeky?!?!?!?!

    THIS IS SOOOO FUNNI

  • I think that some of the rules are unfair.. but that doesnt mean you should go and be a bitch about it. I have adopted two of my pets there and they were both taken out of horrible places. I think its really really bitchy of you to say that the people there dont care, because they obviously do if they make sure that the animals go to GREAT homes. If you cant get over that then go screw yourself.

  • Ever thought about that they just want to make sure that those cats are not going to go back into a similar situation they have been in before? Why do you need a collar and microchip for an indoor cat? Maybe because they might run outside while you open the door?

They are putting rules in place to find good homes for animals that very often have been through alot and they want to prevent those animals ending up as strays again. And yes its a cat and not a toy.

  • this is stupid...so mad huh...are you kidding me...humane society..maybe you should get out more and they usually do a good job...and cancer is NOT natural death..it is a disease...therefore its not nautral.

Smoking is never good..and no-one is telling you what you to eat..

Agencies are telling you this because to protect the animal...and people who are cruel to animals should not get animals in the first place...its not just your life..it's the cat's too...lol 101 cat-lady!

  • well arent u considerd retarded

i have a retarded cousin and i dont need your fatass using that word as an negitive ajictive, kiki was an ugly ass cat, from frigen halloween town, maybe they woult give u a cat becuase they might think your gunna have it for damn lunch, your like 50 years old and live with your parents making videos on youtube...get a life, get out and take a bike ride, burn some calories

  • Well you can always lie and tell them they are going to be indoor cats.

  • With all the cat mutilation and murders, cars smashing cats on the roads, I would never let my cat run free outside. Maybe in the country, but not in the city. I wonder if you ever found a new kitty? Maybe try craigslist.

  • and the humane society here didn't do any of that stuff. a few questions, making sure the cat will be in a good home.

  • my family has adopted a cat from the humane society. the previous owner had her declawed and probably abused her. so in that case, the humane society saved her. and one of our cats is an indoor/outdoor cat and he's like, almost 15. so maybe the problem is just that particular humane society.

  • Stand up for your freedoms, since they are so few left.

    Good luck! Here kitty, kitty!

  • You're right, the cat should be let outside to play, as long as they have their shots for Feline Leukemia, etc. first, which a lot of people are too lazy to do, which is why that rule exists.

Nobody is trying to "dictate" our lives, they are just trying to tell us what is good or bad for us. Obviously people will try to stop others from smoking, because smoking kills. They tell us what foods are best and worst, so we live healthier, but the choice is ours. They can't MAKE us do anything.

  • What a bunch of BS you are about the biggest loser on the net and I hope a stray cat eats your tongue out so you will shut up.

  • i know seriously, i mean people are falling in pools EVERYDAY by the millions or cats might see nature. lol you go girl

  • you are so right!!!! this is retarded. society is screwed up. it's a damn cat. you should boycott them find someone who has kittens =]

  • this channel scares the shit out of me... you have diarrhea of the mouth and i hope i never stumble across this corner of the internet again

  • Yes putting an animal to "sleep" gently is better than allowing it to die a terrible death because of Feline Leukemia virus which they catch outdoors. It is because of irresponsible pet owners who are too lazy to vaccinate their animals. And it isn't dictating YOUR life it is another living thing you are responsible for. YOU are the reason there are such restrictions on adopting animals; people who are completely selfish and think owning an animal is their right. YOU should never own an animal.

  • Sorry about your loss...if you want to help, adopt an adult cat. I have never had a kitten, there are too many adult cats that are not wanted. Also, do not declaw, that leads to emotional problems and peeing problems...like peeing in your dining room.

  • have you called jenny yet?

  • this slob chatters n chatters in a clewless drift

  • I work at a HS and until you see all of the mean and crule thing ,not to mention the neglect that you see with animals. The same people that say they don't need restrictions. So please cut us some slack we are the true animal lovers- we are here for people like you who need a new companion :)

  • Instead of bashing a HS you should respect what they are tying to do. Ask your self would you work at a HS? Until you experience what goes on at a HS I think you should cut them some slack!

  • I completely agree w/ you about the HS. They wonder why so many animals have to be euthanized? Last chance shelters are the best places to adopt in my opinion. It saves an animal that is closer to death and since they are so desperate to get them homes, they don't have any BS rules. But they are the most depressing I have ever seen. When I got my dog, there was only some paperwork and that was it.

  • A City near me just passed a Pet Registering bill with license fees to own a pet, in Phree America. Yet another way to soak money from wallets. Whats next? licensing your TV? Your Microwave? Your Toothbrush? I know, we can license DNA so we must pay to pass our DNA on to kids. Its starts with something small, and keeps going. If there is something you like, want, need, or have to do, they WILL find a way to cash in on it. Welcome to the land of the Fee's, Home of the Slaves.

  • I dont understand

  • you make me mad... You're ranting about all these rules you have to follow, but you're not thinking about why those rules are there. You don't need a cat until you are able to take care of it. You think 15 is old? I have a 20 year old cat who is very happy. She was told she may have another year left. THAT IS OLD!. Cancer is a natural cause that could have been prevented.

  • Besides, do you have any idea where the animals would be if the societies weren't there? It is obvious the humane sociaties actually care where their rescues are going. Get over it.

  • nevermind yr cat needing a friend,

    u need a friend

  • Humane Society rules seem too strict. Perhaps the follow-up visit post -adoption is to verify the animal was not sold to a lab for experiments - which happens a lot . Someone wanting to adopt a cat might be better off steering clear of the shelters and their red tape and instead adopting a friendly alley cat - not all of them are feral, and the SPCA routinely captures and kills them anyway. Homeless cats are plentiful in Montreal, here you can take your pick, unfortunately.

  • you are soo cool!! did you get a knew cat?? hope u got a nice one! x x

  • I AM A GAY AMERICAN!

  • go get a cat somewhere else. sounds easy enough to me

  • i love you. you are awesome.

  • Is your yard fenced in? I'm scared shitless of my cat escaping, where I live there are coyotes that would snack on her and there's just always the danger of a speeding car. That's one thing I can understand about the humane society.

  • ...and speaking of bad foods...did anyone of you out there on Kristen's list ever get butter and sugar sandwiches from your moms? On white bread of course...lol. They were great! Just spread the butter and pour on granulated sugar. The sugar stuck to the butter and the sandwich had a nice "crunchy" feel between your teeth.

As Homer Simpson would say..."Uumm, fatteningggg.

  • omg! I've never heard of such a strange mix! lol so funny!

  • yes!! Mmmm

  • aw poor kitty.

You should DEFINITELY get a persian cat. they are so calm, they're cat friendly, and affectionate. Plus, the grey/white ones are sooo adorable. I love my mr. kitty.

  • Why don't you just go to the pound? That's how you save them from getting killed.
