Romney's state had low unemployment (less than the national average 3 out of 4 years), that means there weren't as many people who needed a job. Maybe that's why his state was 47th in job creation--there just wasn't much room for improvement. Just a thought. Romney to me seems like he could do the best economically, with a divided house, at a national level.
Fox News and the US Government's bullshit isn't going to work, I hope Congress shits their pants when they see Ron Paul walking up the House's steps in 2012.
Mainstream media refuses to admit that RON PAUL is a major frontrunner in the 2012 presidential race
They never mention him and try to ignore his campaign and his message.
On August 20th, 2011 post Ron Paul videos, articles, pictures, links and just about anything else on Facebook, twitter, and all social networking sites inorder to wake people up!
LETS PROMOTE FREEDOM AND SAVE THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA FROM TYRANNY!
Listening to Ron Paul reminds me of a college bull session, it can be interesting and thought provoking but in the final analysis many of his approaches fail have a basis in reality. He is running for president, not king and his approaches would fall completely flat with any congress. The vast majority of Americans, I’m sorry to say, are not at all interested in the rigors that accompany the Capital L type libertarian approaches he espouses. He’s a good man, but he’s not the man for the job.
I agree the number one problem with his policies is implementation by congress. That being said I think he should still push for them if he becomes president. Would you have Romney who won't even try to change anything?
Ben, you and I would likely agree on many public policy issues. That being said, I certainly do not agree that Romney wouldn't change anything. In fact he has said he would sign an executive order stopping Obama Care in its tracks the day he took office if he were to win. I have no reason to doubt him. I can tell you that whoever I support will be someone who has a reasonable chance at beating Obama and Dr. Paul just doesn’t fit that bill.
Thank you so much for putting this up! I missed it and couldn't find it anywhere online. I finally am starting to feel a bit of hope and optimism in regard to our future and my kids' future. Go GOP!!!
they all talk about Obama's failure in leadership and in creating jobs and yet not one of them mentioned anything about repealing Affirmative Action which is how Obama got his job in the first place...
Ron Paul's stance on simply brining home the troops is a little naive. His ideas of isolationism are just as unrealistic as the trans-nationalists in the UN and the Obama administration. We need Herman Cain as our candidate in 2012. As for the coverage and questions, they needed to give more even attention to ALL of the candidates rather than Romney, Bachman, and Gingrich. None of those three will get our nation anywhere as President.
@jakedelargy Yeah the non isolationism you talk about is just a shield for Israel .Its time they stand on the own two feet. Any clown can see 700 bases around the world is killing us with debt.
You're annoying but I'll bite. It is pretty much a historical constant that when products, as in trade goods, cross borders armies don't. There will be no conventional wars with anybody we trade with. And given that historical constant, Paul is being most proactive in advocating trade with everyone, including Iran, Cuba and N. Korea. Doing so takes away incentive for them to ever attack us. Hope that helps increase your understanding.
THEY SURE ASK EVERYONE ALOT OF QUESTIONS RON ISNT BEING ASKED VERY MUCH,I DONT THINK THIS IS HOW YOU RUN A DEBATE,SHOULD BE EQUAL TIME FOR EACH PERSON.
So I see 2 stormin mormons, two parrots/monkeys slinging feces at each other, a clown, a spoiled child, and a guy who is ready to admin that he had no idea what he was talking about. Oh, then there is Ron Paul, with his ideas of "sanity" and "liberty". No wonder the zoo animals are parroting everything he says.
@esfes1025 No way Ron can compete with the brilliance of Newt. .Just watch how he smacked Ronnie down about Iran, the Military and last but not least.....immigration. Send 'em all back ....and for good. I k you're ancestors came over in the earrly 1900s....so we are all immigrants. Well, Fuck that too!
First of all I am a lefty independent. A progressive. This shows the sad state of the republican party when Herman Cain gets the most applause. Barely anyone asked Ron Paul a single question. Whats that about? Its apparent that republicans in Iowa prefer morons than free thinkers (Ron Paul) and doers (John Huntsman). Sheesh...
Circa 2005...Fitch, Standard & Poor and Moody's all granted triple A status to a tremendous amount of corporate bonds. They systematically inflated the bonds worth. The financial meltdown could not have occurred without this no matter what you've been led to believe.
Now fast forward to 2011...
These same "big three" credit-rating agencies downgrade the US to double A status and the Repubs go wild. Finger pointing at Obama like there's no tomorrow.
@5150jafo mormons are technically christians, since it's any religion that has christ in it
also though I think they are crazy they are no way on that level of Islam since Islam actually has grown enough bravery from their hearts to go against the strongest nation int he world and raise arms against it
@5150jafo Most religions are all based on some basis, there is ar ason they are similar. Christianity is an offshoot of judiasm and islam is said to be an even worse offshoot of christianity.
thats how it be. they could allbe christian and still all be bad.
I'm surprised by your comment. I didn't realize verifying if someone is in the U.S. legally meant so much work for a company. I thought it meant simply checking to see if they have an authentic visa during the job interviewing process. That's why Ron Paul's comment for me personally didn't make sense. Sometimes it's not always clear what people mean..
I'm sorry if my reply gets you heated. I know many of Ron's supporters get really touchy when you criticize him.
I thought Ron Paul talked quite a bit. It was Santorum that seemed to get the least amount of speaking time. Nothing gave me the impression that the interviewers were trying to cheat anybody out of talking time.
Paul is wrong about immigration. Hiring people below minimum wage hurts illegals and citizens. Crack down on business and benefits to illegals, problem solved.
@Warpath2198 Minimum wage is a pro-inflation, anti job, archaic marxist policiy which devalues labor, increases unemployment and increases prices. The problem isn't how much should illegals get paid, the problem is that we put some artificial level on the price free people are willing to work for. Why would government know better than the individual worker how much they are willing to work for?
On their backgrounds alone, Huntsman, Romney, and Pawlenty seem somehow the strongest. Huntsman has an all around background. Executive and business leadership, and experience overseas. He might be good at handling a variety of issues.
...except government spending per capita under his governorship in Utah increased 10% and he supports cap and trade. Not that I'm saying that he's bound lockstep to his past and that he's incapable of doing what needs to be done, but it's worth bringing up.
Oh sure. Yeah, that's fine. I was just trying to honestly consider the positive and negative points about the candidates. I wasn't necessarily implying everyone should vote for Huntsman. I was just pointing out one good point I noticed.
Ron Paul was definitely the best on immigration as he raised the issue of the drug war as one of the primary instigators of border insecurity. Secondly, he was opposed to "cracking down" on employers who hire illegal immigrants, the real problem, he identified, is the entitlements forcibly given to illegals, and that the employers really are not doing anything morally wrong by hiring people who want to work, but it is morally wrong to force taxpayers to pay entitlements to illegal immigrants.
Cain has a strong background in business, so he might be good on economic issues and other domestic issues, but I wouldn't trust him on other issues, especially international ones.
Was Mit Romney saying people who come here don't have a right to a job and that "americans" have a greater right to jobs than illegal immigrants? How racist! No one has a right to a job.
Everyone blew off the questions, except for Cain. Even Ron Paul went off on a tangent.

5150jafo 7 months ago
@5150jafo Yes the common belief in christ as their savior is a christian. Catholics, and reborns and mormons are all there.
Similar to how a sunni or shiite are still Muslims.

Ya but how far could I take other aspects of it and still be Christian ?
Example: I'm going to start my own Christian based religion. I think I'll take Scientology. I'll just replace Venusians with Christ.
Throw the belief that he is our savior in there somewhere and it'll be Christian based, right ?...LoL
