I hope in their new tour with the dream theater drummer, they still play this epic life changing interlude arpeggio solo that is the bat country into. When I saw this happen in salt lake city in feb 09, it changed my life.

the first half of this solo is from one of their songs off of the Diamonds in the Rough album named Girl I Know. its the solo in that song.

its all arpeggios on the 15th fret in my tuning and then it variates between 14-23

Well most solo playing is done up on the neck. The frets are closer together and the bents are much easier up there, making all the fast runs and sweeps much easier.

sustainer pickups, search them up from google. and i've heard something that he has somekind of button on bottom of his guitar,which makes that pich harmonic

The Sustainiac Stealth Pro pickup is in the neck position of his guitar. Syn has two small toggles around the area of the bridge to switch the sustainer on, on mixer mode, or to full harmonic mode. Really fun little things to play with.

The only great live solo i have ever seen was at the Wiltern in 2007. He pulled all sorts of tricks out of his hat. He was in rare live form that night.

I meant I have the tuning and tabs for tha epic slow part that turns into badass power chord riffs for bat country. but I might as well tell you now what the EXACT tuning is and with octaves. it is:

B4,F#4,D4,B3,F#3,B2. In standard the tab is almost the same note-wise, but octaves are a lil higher. email me, ill hook you up

I considered that, but I think that they are mostly for show, except if he is paying drums on the right side of the set he could use the right-most two basses, and vice-versa for the left side.

Lol I would've continued but recording actual songs doesn't really work. When all you are recording is the guitar then you're able to hear it, but the mic in most cameras is not set up to take the decibel level of an actual song. So had I continued you would've heard "KKKSHSHSDSKEWKE_______RKFHWSW­EFW".

OMG!!! that second part of his solo sounded so amazing. It almost made me want to cry, like its a sad song. Like he wrote his own song right then and there! ANd then when everyone just picks it up, WOW! I hope they record that and sell it soon. But gosh Syn can do anything. Truly worth my time any day.
