I can kill almost any ship on any difficulty no problem, the way you achieve this is by assigning slide commands to your pov stick or tophat on a joystick, by doing this, you can strafe, circle and generally dodge most of the ai's attacks, it also takes alot of practice to get used to the newtonian physics. You can use the zoom to shrink the reticle and hit opponents further away. We should organize some multiplayer.
Is it just me or is it hard to pilot the ship? lol I mean.........i am going in one direction at a great speed.....i turn the ship on the opposite direction and it moves in the same direction it was but with the nose of the craft facing the opposite direction....what gives? lol
It is difficult to pilot at first. Mainly the creators wanted for you to feel what it's like to actualy pilot a ship. After all there is little/no friction in space so it's going to be hard. I found a way around this especialy for Waypoint travel and use Auto pilot. Trust me It helps in the Hyperspace level.
so tell me how you do it? I keep getting lost in hyperspace at times even using auto pilot....should I target the beacon I desire like say for example Sol-Cooke....i leave the auto pilot facing cooke?
in dogfights what do you do? share your knowledge :-P
Well for dog fights I put on my cheats and gor slow, shooting at all the raiders and narn fighters (Level pending) Eventualty they give up and ram you...dealing damage only to themselves. Go too fast and of course you can't turn. As for hyperspace I had to turn to the forums as it was a major head ache. (I beat the entore game btw) But my guess is to go to the wps it says and once you are real close head to the next one quickly...its very challenging.
it is space phisic if you give a boos to ship it will move that direction and nothing mke it stops like the other games until u give a came size of burst but the oposite direction then the ship will stop so not hte game hard the others are nor tealistic
I recomend it. All you need to fo is type Babylon 5 I've ound her in the google search (or what ever engine you use) amd the site is lik Space Dream foundry or Firstones (dot) com. Anyway the controls can be tricky to master, but it well worth it.

Use the slide commands and you can just dodge enemy fire instead.
