@NinoScript Well there is no AVR Studio, but you can get avr-gcc for compiling and avrdude for flashing. On both Mac OS X and Linux. The tools have at least support for ATmega and similar 8bit devices.
For Mac OS X I recommend using the "CrossPack for AVR® Development"
