I listened to one recording before I learned it. I prefer not to use recordings when learning pieces. It's been a few years since I was first learning this so when I go back and listen to someone else's recording I find it much different. If you want to get a sense of the piece, I would recommend Chris Gekker and the composer playing on the CD "Music for the Soloists of the American Brass Quintet and Friends by Eric Ewazen". Sorry for the long reply. Good luck!
I'm working on this piece for a performance for my studio. Thanks for posting it so I can hear it! ^_^ It's done very well. I loved the Bb trill near the beginning. XD
Oh wow! I really wanna hear his sonata now, should be incredible. I wanna post some of my stuff up too, the only problem is my dad deleted my recital video by accident... you can imagine I was in flames. But the even worse part is Ms. Kambui didnt have the recital either.... even more flair's, considering that I saw her video taping...
It was quite good considering the week I'd had before... Blew my lip out on monday. I'd also already played about 25 minutes of difficult music before this. Glad you liked it otherwise!
This sounds like the worlds assiest accompanist

This is a tad on the fast side for my taste, but brilliantly played. Congratulations.

it's a little fast for my taste too. I think we were both a bit anxious but we managed to pull it off. Glad you enjoyed it though!

You chose a beautiful work to play--not very popular yet, but hopefully that will change as people post more versions! Very well-done!
