I have had this cd since about 1996 or 1997 and have worn it out! first heard these talented dudes on WRAS / Ga.state university(aka album 88).man music is hardly shit anymore even on good ol'college radio. I am 48 years old now and a product of the early 80's college tunes so I AM FUCKING BIASED-
@weisslakejps Hey! I worked at WRAS in the early-mid 80's and we did have a kick-butt station. That is so cool you commented on that. And listened. It was some really great underground/indy stuff. There is still some great music out there but you have to dig for it.
Always reminded me of the Stones (and I mean that in a good way). Wish they had been more consistent on their albums. Loved this song, but not a lot of the other tracks on this release.
Like the low-fi energy of this band too. Reminds me of that era when bands like Guided by Voices were doing interesting stuff.
death cab was my first fave, decemberists, the walkmen (the rat is a great song by them), the shout out louds, sigur ros, interpol, cold war kids, shins, yo la tengo, jus to name a few
These guys were great. Saw them at CBGBs in NYC in the mid-nineties. They were, I believe, managed by Hilly Crystal, the ower of CBGBs, and thus played frequently there. They were a fun live band to see, and their album One Track Mind is a fine release of studio material indeed. You can find this song on that album. Cheers boys for rockin' hard and being real. Hope you're all doing something else musically presently.

Also, "it takes a worried man to sing a worried song and I'm not one of them" is one of the all-time great lines.
