One of the great things about Cowboy Bebop is that aside from a few, each episode could stand alone it's own story. There is a central backstory that connects them all, and finally ends them, but pieces of it are revealed along the way. It is only 26 episodes, so there is a definite end, but it's sort of a journey you take 1 step at a time, where everyday something different happens. That's Bebop to me.
