If good form tackles that involve helmet to helmet contact start getting penalized I'll have to boycott watching college football like I have the pros. That was just a great form tackle and their helmets happened to hit.
Misslacey i'm guessing you've never played football? You can't make a tackle without your head hitting the guy unless it's an arm tackle. It's physically impossible. And btw ask any coach, the helmet to helmet rule is BS. Players are taught to use the hard surfaces(ie. helmet, tops of shoulder pads) to make takles, otherwise you get ran over. Running backs lower their head to run over defenders all the time.

That's also the kind of tackle that ends up breaking necks... Everyone from Tulsa was jumping and screaming while Roy should've been sitting there on the ground dead with his neck snapped in half from tackling head first.

Yeah, I was watching that game untill the 4th quarter, because Tulsa stoped scoring every 3 minutes...
Anyway, I saw the play when it happened and thought right away "yeah, I bet some stupidass attention bitches are going to film this and upload it".
Oh, and it should've been a penalty. It was a fucking helmet-to-helmet hit, intentional or not it still should've been a penalty.

No. No it should not. There are many times in a game where a player can get his helmet knocked off, most all of them in situations with much less vicious hits than this one.
Football is an inherently physical and dangerous sport.
Every returner has the option of a fair catch. This one decided he could maybe muster a few yards, so he risked his safety in not calling a fair catch.
He knew the risks of catching the ball, just like every player knows the risk of playing.

Helmet to helmet contact is rarely called in college and it usually involves a hit on the quarterback. If good form tackles that involve helmet to helmet contact start getting penalized I'll have to boycott watching college football like I have the pros. That was just a great form tackle and their helmets happened to hit.

I think it should have been called although I think in this instance the tackler had little choice but to do what he did.
It's the returner's responsibility to protect himself, just as it is the quarterback's.
I think you'll agree it would have been very difficult to "square up" and make a traditional "open field" tackle in this instance.
Roberts made the right decision.

Misslacey i'm guessing you've never played football? You can't make a tackle without your head hitting the guy unless it's an arm tackle. It's physically impossible. And btw ask any coach, the helmet to helmet rule is BS. Players are taught to use the hard surfaces(ie. helmet, tops of shoulder pads) to make takles, otherwise you get ran over. Running backs lower their head to run over defenders all the time.
