It's very beautiful album - 100x better than all Mariah Carey's albums during 1998-2010. Whitney still sounds very good and unique. My favorite tracks are For The Lovers, I Got You and Call You Tonight.

Finally, you make some sense ... this is one of the best albums in a long time for an artist ... nothing has significantly changed about her voice, it is just that she hasn't used it in years ... with practice, she will get it back .. .drugs can't do that much damage to vocal cords.

I bought Whitney's album in support of her return. I honestly did not expect much from it, considering how much her voice her changed. I was amazed that it did turn out so good. It's not all about the voice anymore, but the songs are more modern and in tune with the current times. This is one of her best albums and although I still have to get used to her voice sounding less crystalline, I am beginning to dig her textured and sometimes pained voice. Five stars if you ask me.
I can't stand million dollar bill... I think the song is just way to old sounding for this era. Compared to records that are out now, I don't think people would buy her album as much as we think that would. Just my opinion because I'm an opinionator.

The nice thing about NO VIDEO is you can create your own memories in your mind and when you hear the music your thoughts will go to your OWN mental images. I remember the days "pre-video" and music meant something different than. Seems to me after MTV and music videos came around when you hear a song your mind instantly goes to the video that came along with it. Grammy is very biased and only gives out awards to those they like or when music is too popular to ignore. They gave awards to Alicia cuz she was the only great artist in R&B at a time it was severely lacking. She and Beyonce were highly overrated in the Grammys.

OMG, I just listened to the album on her website and "Nothing but Love," "Worth It," and "Salute" are the best songs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so impressed and so happy to hear her voice again and her singing really good songs! I'm ashamed I ever doubted her. I think this albums is going to do really really well.

Finally, you make some sense ... this is one of the best albums in a long time for an artist ... nothing has significantly changed about her voice, it is just that she hasn't used it in years ... with practice, she will get it back .. .drugs can't do that much damage to vocal cords.

I bought Whitney's album in support of her return. I honestly did not expect much from it, considering how much her voice her changed. I was amazed that it did turn out so good. It's not all about the voice anymore, but the songs are more modern and in tune with the current times. This is one of her best albums and although I still have to get used to her voice sounding less crystalline, I am beginning to dig her textured and sometimes pained voice. Five stars if you ask me.

It was a very emotional album and most of the lyrics explained her life and what not. She really knew how to use her new voice in this album, which is the reason why it's really good.

The nice thing about NO VIDEO is you can create your own memories in your mind and when you hear the music your thoughts will go to your OWN mental images. I remember the days "pre-video" and music meant something different than. Seems to me after MTV and music videos came around when you hear a song your mind instantly goes to the video that came along with it. This may not make sense to anyone but me but it is the way I feel.

I think the reason why Whitney's voice isn't as strong as it use to be is because she's a little older(but still looks so good) and when you get older the singing voice tends to deteriarate some. Also, I believe that her past drug habits had an effect on her voice. But I must say she sounds so good on this album. I believe that this album is going to be a #1 hit.

Grammy is very biased and only gives out awards to those they like or when music is too popular to ignore. They gave awards to Alicia cuz she was the only great artist in R&B at a time it was severely lacking. She and Beyonce were highly overrated in the Grammys.
Whitney got almost all the awards she deserved cuz she's respected.
For some reason, they've never really liked Mariah. They only gave awards to two of her most universally acclaimed songs: Vision of love and We Belong Together.

Don't be foolish. While cigarette and drugs undoubtedly played part in the demise of Whitney's voice it was ALSO due to her fans. Her touring schedule was ridiculous and she developed nodules around 94 and her voice was never the same. The drugs and cigarettes made it worse after the nodules changed her voice. She back to back to back and gave it her all, so don't attribute everything to drugs b/c that is not so. She like Mariah lost her gift b/c they gave it to the public.

WH was AMAZING so was MC. Luckily MC was able to get through her troubles in time enough to salvage her voice to sound enough like her old self. So mariah will always be younger than whitney and less experienced than Whitney, Mariah is more current cause she 7 years younger than Whitney, almost 10 years younger, Whitney & Celine have 7 years more than Mariah in the Music industry. Whitney and Celine grew up singing infront of people & bars & stuff, while Mariah didn't, so what i'm saying is that mariah isn't that comfortable LIVE, anyway.

Million Dollar Bill, I Didn't Know My Own Strength & For the Lovers were the only good tracks on this album. Everything else was a lyrical mess. It's the SAME message repeated through every song and it gets repetitive and boring. her vocals are no longer as strong as they used to be so, that's a definite drawback for me as well.

Dude, I've heard crackhead's i mean Whitney's album and with the exception of "salute" the rest of the album is a complete piece of shit! The album is boring, tasteless and mediocre. After seven years of inhaling her crack pipe this is the best fucking crap she had to offer? Obviously the album will sell good in the first week because of the name alone but after that this cheap ass album will go down faster than the titanic. It's obvious your a Mariah hater, since you been kissing Whitney's ass!

lmao this album sounds VERY current . I'm a music director for a radio station, I would know. Whitney Houston is the most awarded female in the history of music. She opened the door for the mass global female pop star. Before her, no female had debuted #1 and sold diamond back to back. She broke the Beatles and Elvis record w/ 7 consective #1's.Over 170 Million sold with ONLY 10 albums..no 1 has sold more based on the number of albums.She's influenced every vocalist to emerge the last 20 years.
