i've never watched the full quidam show only little parts of it but I love much of Cirque du Soliel's Shows and would like to see another one, someday v.v
I just love the lines: There's nothing left / there's nothing right / there's nothing wrong. I've only seen this on TV but that was one time, and several years ago, and still today it 'haunts' me with its power...and message.
the song is in english, french and spanish. The part in spanish is like this: "Bailo en este lienzo de dolor, funámbulo sin mapa ni brújula. La dulce locura, mi sólo refugio. Nazco en la sombra del payaso"
I love this song!!! (: It was our finale song for our dance recital, and is beautiful. Does anyone know what language that they are speaking. We thought it was french, but our ballet instructor's husband speaks french and said it wasn't.
I also speak both french and spanish. There is both in this song. Though they change between the two frequently, it is very obvious that there is french in there. If you go to an american French dictionary you will find it translates very easily
Quidam: WTF Zoe Zoe: whats wrong Quidam: this is a pretty song your singing Zoe: thanks quidam Mom: Good Girl Zoe but how come you never told us we wwere alienating you or ignoring you. Zoe: you mean we have a family reunion Quidam: zoe, do you like mario music Zoe: Yeah why Quidam: beecause i have mario music set up for ya Zoe: thanks quidam Quidam: well lets go bleh bleh bleh bleh bleh bleh BLECK!
I met Audrey and her father (Benoit Jutras-the composer of Quidam) in 96 San Jose, CA. . .she was about 13-14 years old then. Her mother is her voice coach.
it's true, i should know because i AM Emily Duncan-Brown. we each performed 4 or 5 shows a week. i joined after the show had already been touring for a year and the group was in Costa Mesa. this song was performed only in jibberish, at the very end of the show... this is a commercial version, while still beautiful.

There are three languages in this song : english, french, and a third one I don't know but I think is spanish or italian, maybe portuguese.
