if you would like to check out his pedigree you are more than welcome to. he did race for nine years and it was very out of the oridinary for him to have raced that long.
i LOVED it! So easy to care for and looks VERY real. I took it to rated shows and no one knew any difference and i actually got comments on it. I had it for almost three years and i only had to clean it maybe 6times. I only sold it because i am switching to gaming.
Nine years my he must have been good at it if they kept him for that long my tb mare is an ex racer to but they dint keep her that long and i agree with your comment on the right i think jumpers may suit him more of he loves going fast.
aww he's jumping nicely. I'd watcht it with jumping in a standing martingale though, my friend tried one on her horse a while back and the horse seriously injured some muscles around it's neck because he couldn't stretch to get over the jump properly and so he hurt himself. I'd definitely try working to get him off it again at a later date.
dat don look 2'9 0.o...... but hey the person fillming is kinda in a strange position. :) oh and i totally agree with u about the standing martingale as long as the horse can jump freely and have his head it is better off with it than a running martingale wich he doesnt seem to listen to and makes it a whole lot harderd for both rider and horse .not that i am saying there is anything wrong with a running martingale.lol good job :D
you r instructor or who ever taught u to ride should have told u this, olympians ride in RUNNING martigales to stop the horses over jumping and throwing their heads as they provide downward pressure on the REINS not the actual horses head. i feel sorry for your poor horse, as ive seen many horses get seriously injured by negligant owners.
HAH negligant?! That only happens if you are jumping with your martingale too tight. Which in my case i have given him enough so he can strectch out just not up. Also if all your tack fits correctly it would be literally impossile for him to get hurt by it. At pony club i am SURE that the eventer trainers and show jumping trainers would have said something and they havent. anyways i really dont care what you say because i know what is right and wrong for me and my horse.
when your horse jumps it extends its head to lift its body over the jump, having a STANDING martingale on restricts the head movement and ive seen cases where the horse has had to be put down because its nostril cavity has been crushed by the nose band and the downward pressure of the martingale.
Uhh, there is not a single danger in jumping in a standing martingale unless it hangs down by their knees and it really, i mean REALLY loose. Otherwise there is absoulutly nothing dangerous of jumping with it. Olympians use running martingales so there really isnt much of a difference...
there is a massive difference in a standing martingale and a running one! if u dont see the dangers in jumping in a standing martingale then u should be no where near a horse! i train and break in horses so i think i know what im talkin about,
Well it doesnt really matter what i say to you because you are obvisouly going to believe that you are right any way i put it. I know there is NOT A SINGLE DANGER in it. Also yes i know there is a difference in the two but i also know that there is nothing wrong in jumping in a standing martingale that is fitted properly.

if u have a standing martingale that he can jump in but not throw his head then your horse probly doesnt even need a martingale, why dont u try a running one? it will probly be better for an ex racing horse anyways. as u cant have a martingale loose enough for him to stretch but tight enough for him to not throw his head?? it kind of impossible.
Well i have actually tried a running on him, and he acts as if it isnt even there he tosses his head and doesnt listen at all. Though i do see what your concern is but I do know what i can and cant do with my horse. I know that i have seen TONS of people jumping with them and on the front of books hunters have them on.
trust me its not 2ft it looks tiny because the arena is on a slight hill my horse is pretty bid and he is showing no effort over it. and we measured it to see and it was very close to 2'9".
Well i said that it is about 2'9" so it may be smaller but it is not 2'6" i know that because we set one up the other day and it is smaller than that one is. But yeah the video makes it look smaller and so does dante lol.
I know we are ggoing to be moving up soon to the 3fts! and he is loving every bit of it and is very honest so it fun for me to! lol. Thanks for the nice comment!
It is clearly 2'9 you guys are blind. Jumps always seem smaller on camera.

xXdanterocksxX 4 years ago
It depends how high you jump and how loose it is ok?
Appylover33 4 years ago
i agree to an extent. you dont want it really loose because then it has no affect and if you jump really high it can affect it but not nessecarly.
xXdanterocksxX 4 years ago
yea I love your horse though!
