Welcome to Lao....Do whatever you please as long as you don't breaking the law, and respect our culture, and our local peoples....Enjoy your self in our beautiful country...
@GinCowt You have a beautiful country and wonderful people.I really fell in love with Laos. I apologise for clumsy foreigners behaving badly. I hope with all my heart you can preserve your home and protect it from the influences of commerce.
@PS111072 On viewing this guys channel, he is obviously a Laotian living in the United States. I just don't know what to say to this comment. It seems a little hypocritical...
expect a lot of walking, getting stuck in the mud, etc...while visiting the high country side of Laos. Over all, you had a nice trip, Great HoneyMoon get a way.. when I see those white flowers blooming in this video I miss my old village soooo bad.
Yes, yes, I just spent three weeks Traveling around Laos. It was surprisingly safe...even more so than Japan (where I live). the people so friendly, so warm, good food, mellow, nice smoke, this only gives me a bit more disgust with my homeland america which is so greedy, arrogant and ignorant of the world. I'll go back next year again and check out other places that I didn't get to....not the place for rich, expensive hotel type travelers...
your videos is awsome!! How did you earn the cash to travel to this many countrys? I work 10 hours a day and 15 hours every monday and I can only afford to travel around 1 month every year =/
you have to remember, laos is a tropical country, meaning everything goes. unlike dessert or dry country. I came from the high land and i miss all the beautiful tropical fruits trees....sniff. sniff..
Interesting to see the Huay Xai - Namtha road before it was sealed. Now I can ride my motorbike there in 3 hours! It's pronounced "h-way sai" not "h-way shai" by the way, but that's nitpicking. Nice video, I show it to my customers (travel agency in Chiang Mai). Sok dee jao!
We take an up to date guide book but don't solely rely on it. We always talk to other travelers in country and get their perspectives. I recommend Lonely Planet in most cases for guide books.
laos is not án 'isolated place of the plast' what a terrible western orientalist projection of two stuck up tourists passing through the tourist trail sampling 'cultures' with your head up your arse. get lost somewhere, please.
Great videos. Two thumbs up!

Every single public bus I took in Laos broke down.
It gives you a chance to get off and take some spectacular shots.
Those trekkings into those remote villages is an amazing expierence, but them leetches are everywhere, especially in raining season.
Luckily I brought this heavy duty Australian repellent that could even fend off nuclear radiation.
Oh, and those crazy animals being bought by locals on the bus.
One lady sitting next to me bought this big hamster with massive teeth.
I love Laos.
