  • One of the top complaints about Tracy and all of her videos (the Metamorphosis series included) is that she does NOT give any cues or counts as to when she will be switching moves or what moves she will be switching to. She simply just does it; this is easily seen by the confusion-stricken faces of the other trainers in these videos with her (especially poor Carlos lol). I'm not saying that she doesn't do amazing things, she's not just QUITE cut out for instructional video making!

  • @am150965 Well said! I got a "shame on you" for commenting about the same thing. People need to be very careful of their rotator cuffs when performing quick moves like this with weights of any kind. Cheers!

  • I am usually a fan of Tracy's ingenuity and do like/and use some of her moves (I am a fitness instructor with extensive background in anatomy). I do take concern with many of these moves. First, the music is too fast and their form is terrible, causing a lot of stress on their rotator cuffs. The punches are good. The side raises are ok, but when she combines the moves it is obvious that they cannot keep up with the tempo and the form suffers. Please be careful folks if you do these moves.

  • So i just did this and omg. SO SORE!!!!!! One of my friends actually took a class with her and still does the dances. Its fun, its moving, it gets you pumped up. Trollz are just fat people too lazy to actually do this

  • o.m.f.g. hardest workout I have ever done ladies and gents. Its just soooooo difficult. So much harder than lifting weights. Just... just sooooo much better.

  • @vtgreeley1 I suppose its not intended for those who lift and do the full spectrum. Side note: keep in mind that holding your arms in the air for a few minutes will make them start to ache.

  • for whoever thinks this looks silly Tracy tries to target your tiny muscles inside your arm to make your arms stronger and thinner rather then just lifting weights up and down.

  • As a fitness instructor for 18 years and certified in almost everything I can honestly say Tracy Anderson is the greatest thing to hit fitness in years....I love to incorporate her moves into my classes and people love it...The results speak for themselves....I am 50 and haven't looked this lean in years, I hope she keeps on doing what she is doing and ignores the haters out there...Gwyneth, Gisele, Nicole, Kelly, can't all be wrong.

  • Damn, there is a lot of negativity about Tracy's webisodes on youtube (I'm looking at you Scrabtree and Billybob)... There are so many ways to get in shape, and I think traditional weight training and cardio workouts are completely valid. 

  • @madhawk44 You must have not read my older posts. I supported her and then I was heavily criticized.

  • However, for women who enjoy dance (I was a competitive gymnast for 12 years), I really like Tracy's approach. She sometimes says some things that are probably nonsense ("muscle to the bone" for example), but throughout my years of training for 25-30 hours a week, I never once did any weight training and only used my own body weight for resistance and I had a perfectly strong and toned body.

  • As I have gotten older, I of course embraced stereotypical weight training and cardio and I have never been able to achieve/maintain the results I was looking for. I have gotten more results from this in 6 weeks than years of gym memberships. There is nothing weak or fragile about my appearance. I think different things for different people. For me, this works.

  • I LOVE Tracy's workouts, but I really wish she wouldn't include other people in her webisodes - they're so distracting (this guy is a prime example - horrible!). I get more out of it when I can just focus on her.

This is kinda stupid for a man to do because these workouts are really geared for women and the dreaded arm flap that we get as be become older. Even thin women get bingo wing. Doing these are series honestly changed my arms. They are toned, slender and all the muscles seemed to have been sucked back onto the bone where they belong. So don't knock it. She's right about lifting heavy weights...no woman should have manly arms,it's just not pretty

    if you go slow you are more likely to concentrate on providing your own resistance (flexing the arms and sort of stopping yourself rather than just flailing your arms around).

  • I think is awesome that you uploaded this webisode, but speeding it up is a little bit o f a bummer. I love Tracy Anderson, but if you do the moves too fast, like in this vid, you will get hurt. Just sayin.
