  • I love this song but this sounds like the album version, not a live one...?

  • pogo is fucking killing it at that keyboard solo at the end!

  • This song gives me the feeling that no other song I've listened to has ever given me ..

  • John5 is the shit!

  • /97SI2x7ktl4

  • o manson my my....fuck me please...i love you..you are the best

  • john 5 is a fucking master

  • ORGASM<3

  • Good GOD!!! THE POWER!!!! He screams like fucking BANSHEE!!!

  • łapka w górę!

  • one of the best scream in the rock history: 3:51

  • I love this man, he is just awesome

  • This song is NOT about cocaine. Its about living in a world where everyone is just the same now. No sense of individuality, no free thinking, we are all mechanical animals "and by the standard dictionary definition 'androids"

  • @qyet121csx manson just saif it was about cocaine so the christfags could get off his bang for thinking it was a racist song

this song does have a refference to racism , but its anti-racist if anything ....the "white man" rules the world and opresses the other races ...thats 1 way of looking at this

and as far as symbolism goes, manson said white expresses emptiness to him, so this song could also be seen how everyone is "white" , everyone is empty and cold ...

  • the bass ruins the song who the fuck thought that sounded good??

  • @MrBTokin420 it sounds fuckin' good you just don't have the sense of musical beauty. that song is a masterpiece in its entirety.

  • In this song "white" means: empty and sad

  • The song is about Cocaine. Mechanical Animals in it's entirety is practically about drug abuse, sex and some form of aftermath pertaining to romance.

Nothing racist about Marilyn Manson (or The Spooky Kids).

  • @sufferingrules actually , he said that so people would get off his back

this song does have a racial refference, but its anti-racist if u listen to it ...white is the colour of emptiness ...its the color of the opressive race ...it also signifies how we are drained of individuality ....we are drained of our colour (regardless if its caucasian , black, asian etc...it goes beyond that)

so this song does have some refference to racist, but its an anti-racist song..

  • this is one of my favorite songs of all time, and this performance is fucking perfect.

  • The song is about cocaine..

  • Im not even going to jump on the racist band wagon......

  • The whole song is pure awesomness, but part from 3:45 ... thats just nirvana.

  • this performance is flawless from start to finish...

  • formidable , exelente, amazing ....

  • twiggy looks so high, i bet he dosent even know where he´s at :P

  • @BernhardkrTV i like how Twiggy mumbles all his notes when he plays them

  • @sidewaysfcs0718 its freekin hillarious XD

  • O povo desmaiando no meio do show velho, Marilyn Manson é um dos principais ídolos do Mundo do Rock.

  • great show..

  • I've got a version of this song from last tour on earth. No version can top that.

  • mechanical animals era was the real golden age of MM(but i think it's GGG)

  • Comment removed

  • manson at his best

  • John 5 was easily Manson's best live guitarist no doubt.

  • @blasterman9 he was also their best guitarist period,he was extremely good in general

  • this song is awesome is the best from mechanical animals album

  • 6 ppl have no sense of rock music motherfuckers

  • I got chills watching this :)

  • MARILYN MANSON IS COMING BACK IN 2011. LOOK FOR HIS NEW SONG "I AM AMONG NO ONE" ON YOUTUBE.

  • So geil

  • I've never seen how it could be seen as racist, it's about drug addiction and a lack of self, it's about being disconnected from the world, as most of Mechanical Animals is.

  • whatevery, amazing song.

  • Mechanical Animals is defenetly the best record of MM

  • MAGNUM OPUS!!!

  • ohhh this guy would know cause he is a filthy nig... thought thats funny 48 people like it

  • this songs about cocaine for who think its racist dumbasses!!

  • @SadisticAzagthoth

no it aint about cocaine dipshit but its also not racist.. the song's is about how white/ dull the world is, we are drained or are colors / individuality / creativeness , because we are all conforming sheep

  • @daspien1000 It is about cocaine "dipshit". Manson clearly said it himself years ago

  • @scottyxander sorry but only close minded poeple would think that considering there is not once the mention of cocaine or any drug through out the entire song except for My prescription's low

i didnt realize cocaine was a prescription drug

  • @daspien1000 I think if Manson himself stated that GBWW is about cocaine, THEN IT'S ABOUT COCAINE.

  • @daspien1000 Manson himself said that it's about how shallow the world is and cocaine

  • I agree with what he is saying in this song, the world is too shallow...i love MM!!!!!!!

  • i haven't listened to MM forever. his music is as strong as ever

  • very under-rated CD.... so good!

  • All i have to say is that marilyn manson is ahhh~mazing

  • when he was a singer, now looks like my grandfather..

  • it isnt about racism, manson himself said its about cocaine

  • J'adore !!!!!!!! =p

  • Ironic...criticism about this world ,nothin to do with racism...goes beyond ..

  • White powah

  • 3:50 is fucking reality shattering.

  • I love his scream at 3.50

  • I love his scream at @3.50

  • i wish marilyn manson was still the same i fucking miss his performance

  • класс))) Мэнсон лучший...

  • Listening to the crescendo of this song and just watching Manson and his bandmates just LOST in the moment of the song and jamming down on their instruments...such beauty.

Oh Manson how we love you! Listen to the screams of your adoring fans!

  • this is much better than the studio version

  • eu sou loucamente apaixonada no Marilyn

  • john 5 introduced me to sideways headbanging

  • @DarkstarRichii95 me 2 lol

  • Wow Manson, If you only knew what you meant to me!!!

  • Wow Manson, If you only knew what you meant to me!!!

  • very mad man the blonde on the guitar at 0:18...loved

  • @mrkurst1 John5!

  • Comment removed

  • I LOVE MANSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • There is nothing racist about this song (I would know Im a black guy) racist is the last thing that could be said about Marilyn Manson

  • @evanmyles12 Rock n Roll Nigger, Great Big White world....you'd think he racists but is actually the opposite lol ultimate supporter of the outcast and always questioning the norm.

  • @evanmyles12 Thank you! This song is about the lack of individuality in the world. Everyone is so shallow and cold and they just want to be like everyone else. Everyone thinks they need to all look beautiful and buy designer clothes. Fuck that just be yourself.

  • @evanmyles12 not true..."everybody someone else's nigger...i know you are so am i."

  • @evanmyles12 not true..."everybody someone else's nigger,i know you are so am i." Irresponsible hate anthem

  • @Beio1992 so.. it's not like he's against them or anything

  • @Hellion6325 nah i don't think so...nvm maybe you're right

  • @Beio1992 You sir, are an idiot. You hear the word nigger and think that guys gotta be a racist because he said a racist word. Maybe if you used your head for once in your life and think about the meaning behind that quote you wouldn't be so goddamn ignorant.

If you still don't understand the quote. What is a 'nigger' socially? someone people look down on and blame everything bad on. he's saying that everyone is someone else's skapegoat, everyone's 'lesser human'. Now read it again.

  • @DrugyDucky using that word to describe a person who looks down seems a bit racist don't u think? plus if you've looked in MM's life u can see he is fascist and u can see that in the Anticrist superstar.Read his bio.

  • @evanmyles12 you are not a black guy you are an afroamerican and i tottaly agree with you

  • @evanmyles12 I'm not sure about that, he's certainly elitist, anti-humanist and wholeheartedly opposed to slave morality, but yes, the song is about cocaine.

  • @evanmyles12 indeed this song is about drugs soo much more profound. lol

  • @evanmyles12 I'm black too and I also find nothing racist at all about MM. The space between the lines needs to be read, people!

  • @vistian Great Big White World has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with race as much as it has to do with class. The next civil war in America won't be about race, it'll be about the millionaire politicians trying to oppress the middle and lower classes.

  • Christ John was really rocking a bob in 2000 :L

  • I do not understand people who do not like MM. I if you are so stupid do not blame this he.He is god.I all said.

  • hermoso video MM forever

  • btw manson even said that this song "great big white world" is about cocaine. so there is nothing racist about the title. and rock and roll nigger....ummm ever heard of a COVER SONG? dumb people calling him racists.

  • I wish you were queen just for today. In a world that's so white, what else can I say?

  • doesn't that dude ever get dizzy shaking his head back and forth?

  • @NovemVmbrae666 welli figured hes done it so many times that after a while he dont get dizzy anymore but your comment made me laugh and made my day thank you very much dude

  • @krazy2death no problem man. btw, please tell the haters to stfu. they are always bitching at me for stupid idiotic trivial shit. manson is the fucking best, and fuck everyone else!!!!

  • @NovemVmbrae666 agreed. another thing i've noticed is that when fans ask the band to go back to their old sound like when they first came out and the band does that alot of fans bitch about it. example. KORN III: Remember who you are. fans wanted korn to go back to theri heavy sound and when korn did that the korn fans bitched that it was the sound they wanted. for fuck sakes you ask and you got what you wanted. fuckin idoit people. either like the music and say how bad ass it is or STFU

  • @krazy2death I know, seriously. good fucking comment

  • This is a fucking smart guy. Thanks manson, thanks for creating great music nowadays on this fcking world.

  • Manson is one of the few singers that actually has a better voice live, the animals/manson are the most horrible thing to happen to the world since organized religion. And its amazing.

  • @weliketoblazeit yes, but we thank him for that. without manson, people like us wouldn't have a chance, especially now. it is because of heroes like him that we are still able to breathe in this toxious, poisonous "climate." fuck everyone else

  • Manson needs to get back into this. get twiggy back on bass. Get a better guitarist. and get pogo back..

    he just.. Sucks ass now

  • @luzxun Tim Skold!

  • @luzxun Totally agree man

Saw him at download the other year....just terrible and I fucking love manson

  • man y iz he lip synching??

  • @shyrowstand he's not lip syncing, the audio is live from a concert, but the video is all put together from seperate performances.

  • @DeadlyHearts

i no itz diffrent clips, but it soundz pre recorded 2 me when i listen closer

  • Am I the only black person who listens to him?

    ILove this song

  • @taylorqanqordie12 No you aren't the only Black person who listens to him. MM speaks to all of us and I mainly grew up on Hip Hop, but I'm a firm believer in quality LYRICAL Content, which is lacking in most Hip Hop, but MM has some of the most profound lyrics I've ever heard and he has a solid sound too...very indistinguishable. I grew up in the 90s so my experience is with Metallica, Soundgarden, Smashing Pumpkins, etc. This album was the first MM album I bought and I wasn't disappointed.

  • @rt3tre20 it's very "distinguishable" you stupid nigger. and no, niggers are not allowed to listen to manson. ever heard of "great big WHITE world" or the song "rock n' roll NIGGER?" I didn't think so NIGGER

  • @NovemVmbrae666 hahaha...Yeah, I'm laughing partially b/c ppl like you r the minority. But I'm also laughing because your lack of intelligent thought. Please don't insult me with your elementary thoughts and racist assaults. Racism typically spews from the mouths of ignorant ppl with primitive thoughts and low brain capacity like yours. If you were intelligent enough to understand MM then you would realize that he is by far NOT a racist himself and does not subscribe to those views. cont'd

  • @NovemVmbrae666 Let light up my cigar and put my ashes out on your stupidity son.

    1. MM is not racist and is intelligent far beyond your understanding of complex concepts, imagery and usage of the English language.

    2. The song u quote "Rock n' Roll Nigger" was written by Patty Smith n like 1978 n attempts to redefine the word, equate it with being outcast, giving tribute to Hendrix, etc. (look it up son)

    3. Of course I've heard of "Great Big White World. We're on the page stupid. (cont'd)

  • @NovemVmbrae666

    5. GreatBigWhiteWorld has nothing 2 do with race and everything 2 do with brainwashing of society. Washing = Cleaning = Whitening. More a stand against religious imposition.

    6. Rock n' Roll was developed by Black ppl. A merger of Gospel, Blues and Jazz. MM pays tribute on Mechanical Animals by having Gospel style background singing done by 3 Black women.

    7. MM obviously stands for those who are different n treated unfairly due to appearance. (cont'd)

  • @NovemVmbrae666

    8. His cover of "Rock n' Roll Nigger" not only pays homage to the artistic genius of Patty Smith, but he firmly uses it to equate himself with the outcast and the vilification of a person do to appearance all while paying tribute to the greats.

    9. I'm not allowed? This ain't the 60's and if you were a true MM fan you'd understand what Freedom truly means.

    10. I'm stupid? How many fingers are pointing back at you right now as you pointed over here? Count em son

  • @NovemVmbrae666

And n conclusion. Go get urself n education. Learn 2 understand complex metaphors and lyrics before making ridiculous assertions and using racial epithets 2 attack someone who is clearly more learned than u will ever b. Get some facts before u bring your plate 2 match wits with me. Nigger, Nigger, Nigger...ooooh...say that 2 the fellas on the street, not like a coward sitting n front of ur computer. Don't worry b/c one day Justin Beiber n Keisha will have originated R&B too...

  • Best guitarist manson ever had.

  • Please Manson, on your next album please let be like your old ones you really need to bring back your heavy metalness. Love you Manson but your music is going down the drain.

  • Great tune. Unfortunately 9/11 killed MM. After that day, America found something real to fear rather than goth kids and Atheism and he's never been the same.

  • @Mikesev

Marilyn Manson has never been an artist that fits into anything that can be considered "the same". With every single one of his albums having its own distinct sound, complimented with stunningly symbolic imagery, Manson stands as a musician where pushing his own artistic grounds with something new leads to the evolution that made him who he is now in the first place. Anyone who respects him as an artist would hate to see him revert back to an image he held ten years ago.

  • @Awesomo5000 very good comment

  • this is so fucking great and inspirative song!!

  • @denisjalsovec the word is "inspiring"

  • @NovemVmbrae666 thx. im from croatia :/

  • @NovemVmbrae666 cool. no prob

  • This will always be one of my favorite Manson songs, thank you!

  • 3:45 -- The most beautiful bridge I've ever experienced.

  • fucking incredible. I wish I didn't hate on the mechanical animals era so much while it was happening. I was just an angsty teen that didn't "dig" it because it wasn't hard like portrait and anti-christ. By far, MA is my fav album to date, with POAAF and AS trailing closely behind

  • One of those amazing people that is actually BETTER live. Blowes my mind. MM for king of the world!

  • Fag, Homo,ECT....................

  • i fking love his scream bfor the ending solo omgggg

  • I WISH YOU WERE QUEEN! Love how it deviates from the studio album. This was his last great tour. AS, MA, and HW are 3 of the best records ever made.

  • @CobraUmerus yeah i know those 3 were the best

  • Lol all you haters should fuckin die. just like your loser families. I hope you all die in a car accident. i hope your sisters get raped, and fuckin stabbed to death. fuckin faggots.

  • @dbzlover27 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • FUCKING GAY, LIKE ALL HIS FUCKING FANS!!!

  • @METALIZON but i don't like men so your comment makes no sense? im sure some of his fans are attracted to the same sex but saying all his fans are is ridiculous some people are bi or straight its ok if your gay! im cool with that! :D

  • genius maximus!!!!

  • What a voice. Why does he always sound like he can't sing on his albums, but live he does so well?

  • @samuelrosenbalm This was the peak of his career, he sounded 100000x better than on album back then.

  • I want a Pogo Keyboard, XD

  • Comment removed

  • Too much gay!!! Ahahahahaha

  • @METALIZON I HAVE A GREAT IDEA EVERYONE! WHY DON'T WE ALL "BLOCK" THIS USER!!!! HE KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT MUSIC, LET ALONE "METAL"!

  • His best music.

  • the song is quite easy on guitar, but most people fuck it up live cuz they dont know shit about playing crisply with distortion (tim skold) J5 is great though

  • @METALIZON galughhhhh

  • @METALIZON Dont like it? FUCK OFF go listen to your fagity ass emo shit

  • If manson kept twiggy on bass and tim skold on guitar what a combo that would make it would be simply perfect

  • @Darkmizery tim skold suck donkey balls

at john5 era maryiln manson was the best

  • @eliariev

Tim Skold was there during the John 5 era. Anyways Skold was a great song writer.

  • @ZetsubouMFZB Tim Skold replaced Twiggy on bass for Golden Age. John left for Zombie and Tim moved from bass to guitar to replace John for EMDM. Who was playing bass, I don't know. Now Twiggy's on guitar and I don't know who's playing bass.

  • @ComaAlpha

I already knew that stuff, I was saying that Tim was part of the J5 era. During the EMDM era, Rob Holliday was the live base while Skold was the live guitar. Twiggy was the guitarist for the High End of Low but now they have Fred Seblan as the guitarist and Twiggy is back on bass.

  • @ZetsubouMFZB Fred Sablan? or do you mean Andy Gerold?

  • @midstba

Andy was only the live bass for the High End of Low tour. He is not currently part of the band. Fred Sablan is the current guitarist for Marilyn Manson and is helping write the new album

  • @midstba ye, I saw that when I reread what you wrote, silly me that can't read properly ;)

  • those marilyn manson' times were amazing !

  • i personally prefer daisy berkowitz, especially live. Even though john 5 is a technically better guitarist.

  • i am so relieved manson is welcomed back in denver, it was biblical purportions of hate the parents spread, it was out right persecution!

  • @MechanicalWood

I really hope so. I'd like to see him live someday without being scared to be disappointed.

  • @Syvelocin you will... i think the quality of his live performances has gotten worse since this... im not hating im pissed to cuz ive never seen him yet either and i can tell from these videos that he was amazing but in the more recent ones he isnt nearly as good... must b all the drugs.. lets hope he has a return to form

  • @unocname "lets hope he has a return to form" Evolution is an irreversible process. Mechanical animals is the 2nd in a tryptich which illustrates Manson's own understanding of this. That said, his essence seems to have become rather sterile these past few years; I hope he can find a new fountain of passion somewhere in this decaying world.

  • @AceObrin You misunderstood me.. im not saying his new music is terrible and that he should make music like his old stufff (tho i prefer the older stuff i know he shudnt do this) I'm just saying that his live performances of his older songs arnt nearly as good as they used to be... that's not evolution, it's just sucking, and it can be reversed in my opinion

  • @MechanicalWood

He just needs to stop drinking before and during the shows. From what I've seen, he's about 100 times better when he isn't drunk... like on GGG DVD. I haven't seen anything from late 2009/2010, but with the early THEOL dates, he seemed to always be drunk. It makes me sad :(

  • F#@KING Awesome...
