I love the way she walks in her kimono. Normally you notice the Geisha become very stiff in the legs as they walk in their kimono to keep from falling or stumbling but she walks with such grace, as if she were in nothing but her own skin.
Kono bideo o kiratte 2-nin ga ohaba ni sorera no jiko hajiru hitsuyo ga arimasu. Nippon wa surburshiidesu. Watashi wa anata oh ashite Japan.:) For those of you who dont know what I said. I said " the 2 people who disliked this video whould be ashamed of them selves. Japan is amazing. I love you Japan." xD And no im not japanese. Im just learning Japanese so I can move to Japan when im 18.
no keisha, Ghiisaeng(the counterparts in Korea), yiji(China's) were the pioneer of new culture back then. They were the first women group who wore western style cloths, did western parmenent hair style(except missionary women). They also were the first female model, actress, singers seen in public in late 1890-early 20th centuries, when 'ordinary women' weren't dare to work in that region.
Ponta of Shimbashi, Manryuu of Akasaka, Tondaya Yachiyo. The Three Geiko Beauties of the day. Looks prettier here in motion than in many of her photographs. Of the three, Manryuu was the prettiest, and looked alot like Asada Mao the jumper.
The song is "Fantasia #28" by Francesco Da Milano, Italian Master Composer/Lutenist of the 16th century. I played it on guitar last night while I couldn't sleep, then again this morning. Its singular beauty has haunted me for years. My father is a luthier in his free time..having grown up around 40+ songs by Da Milano, IMHO this is the most beautiful, the most sacred of his works. I'm playing it a a friends wedding in 4 days. Seeing and hearing this tonight quite the coincidence.
Yeah anyone got some info or anything about her? I'd like to know more about her and stuff.

Yachiyo may be her Geisha name. It's a pity to see her smoking. Maybe, because of smoking... she died at an early age: 37 years :(
