  • Yeah anyone got some info or anything about her? I'd like to know more about her and stuff.

  • hey how did she die and form what? now tthat I think about it can anyone give me some insite on who she is.

  • I love the way she walks in her kimono. Normally you notice the Geisha become very stiff in the legs as they walk in their kimono to keep from falling or stumbling but she walks with such grace, as if she were in nothing but her own skin.

  • @jerdzaa LOL. Usa, Usa, Usa. xD lolz, But im kidding, this is a beautiful video ^^

  • 1887 1924, god just 27 years...

  • @NoNW0 37 years !

  • Kono bideo o kiratte 2-nin ga ohaba ni sorera no jiko hajiru hitsuyo ga arimasu. Nippon wa surburshiidesu. Watashi wa anata oh ashite Japan.:) For those of you who dont know what I said. I said " the 2 people who disliked this video whould be ashamed of them selves. Japan is amazing. I love you Japan." xD And no im not japanese. Im just learning Japanese so I can move to Japan when im 18.

  • @LovelyBones156 You should help me learn japanese too xD

  • She died young

  • no keisha, Ghiisaeng(the counterparts in Korea), yiji(China's) were the pioneer of new culture back then. They were the first women group who wore western style cloths, did western parmenent hair style(except missionary women). They also were the first female model, actress, singers seen in public in late 1890-early 20th centuries, when 'ordinary women' weren't dare to work in that region.

  • She is stunningly beautiful. Pity she died so young.

  • oh YAchiyo!<3

  • old age perhaps?

  • She was only 37, I don't think it was old age.

  • Wonderful footage! Thank you!

  • How did she die ?

  • god, she don't look like Kanno Miho.

    She's much realer and beutiful.

    still beautiful.

  • Ponta of Shimbashi, Manryuu of Akasaka, Tondaya Yachiyo. The Three Geiko Beauties of the day. Looks prettier here in motion than in many of her photographs. Of the three, Manryuu was the prettiest, and looked alot like Asada Mao the jumper.

  • i don't know her.. even if i had google i was no smarter....

    she's so cute!!!

  • beautiful! she died so young :(

  • aaah, so beautuful! and the last part is sooo cute ^-^

  • I learned she married to a wealthy japanese painter in Osaka and spent together till her death...glad at least she found someone who could trust.

  • why did she die so early?

  • wow, very old footage. nice. geishas are really cute!

  • so i'll try to find this in my city

  • realy like this video

so what is soundtreak anyway i just love the guitar background music and want play it

  • The song is "Fantasia #28" by Francesco Da Milano, Italian Master Composer/Lutenist of the 16th century. I played it on guitar last night while I couldn't sleep, then again this morning. Its singular beauty has haunted me for years. My father is a luthier in his free time..having grown up around 40+ songs by Da Milano, IMHO this is the most beautiful, the most sacred of his works. I'm playing it a a friends wedding in 4 days. Seeing and hearing this tonight quite the coincidence.

    Thank you

  • wow, the way she walked... amazingly beautiful!!!!!! She looked incredible in Kimono but in Western stuffs... =((

  • @Tilaktiwari93 She looks beautiful in anything in my opinion. :|

  • died so young??

  • many oriental women smoke opium (addicted) and died under 30 during Meiji-Taisho era, especially the Karayuki-san(からゆきさん)

anyway i just love the guitar background music, it fits perfectly.

  • very beautiful.. aww this is amaizing footage!!

  • Rest in peace Yachiyo :(

  • Yachiyo may be her Geisha name. It's a pity to see her smoking. Maybe, because of smoking... she died at an early age: 37 years :(

    Yukiguni

  • Yes it's real footage.

  • What a dreamy age...

  • Not if you were a female.

  • beautiful!!!
