  • They should put her face in the dictionary as the definition for the word 'cunt'.

  • @aaronandsam77 and your as cock sucker !!!!!!! go tracy go

  • see, even famouse people from Margate cant be decent and just get pissed all the time. plus, she is a dirty slag lmao, i know loads of people that have fucked her lol

  • @TheAlleyCatShow oh fuck off VIRGIN tracy is funny as fuck and so what if she is a slag ?? so is your mum but not half as dirty as your gran

  • @11bethanmalloy virgin? haha iv smashed 40 girls from around thanet in the last 4 years. Iv probably smashed you in too, i bet you dont even remember how many cocks you'v had from friday night one times. ha haha

  • she said her behaviour was caused by painkillers she was taking for a broken finger

  • As a fellow Professor of Penis-Doodling, I can see that Emin has a great future ahead of her in Drawing.

  • She is now appointed Professor of Drawing at the Royal Academy. Greatness!!!!

  • I like the awkward silence of the arts chancers there, how, like people witnessing a mugging, they'd rather not get involved for fear of harming themselves.

  • Tracey E. is an artist, whether you like it or not. This is the type of display that we expect from people who are in that position. An artist never has to apologize for their behaviour. But I like the fact that she does this on LIVE television... Great publicity?... Who knows or cares. It is all apart of history now. And its funny... Being drunk live is effing hilarious.

  • I find drunk people very funny.

  • Obviously a fan of Oliver Reed

  • Well, I just came from the Exhibition (Love is What You Want / SouthBank centre) and I think her works are really interesting. I do not care what do people define as art, real art or not art.... it does not matter... I paid 12 GBP for the ticket. ;)

  • @plopfoesthekdkkkkkkkkkkkkk... So what your saying is that ART is dead NOW in the 21st century? 99% is pretty high up there. Well sorry MATE, but apparently you don't know nothing about ART at all. Don't let a little SLAG demean your opinion about all that humans are creating at this moment in time, there are pretty good and interesting things being created out there. Don't let thousands of years of human imagination and creativity end with one insignificant cunt. Is she really that important?NO

  • when a commoner gets famous with 'art' that shocks the rich it is easy to create shocking 'art'

she might as well fabricate a sloppy gapping 70's hairy-bush pussy with half a condom hanging out of it and call the piece "Hit n' Run"

    see, it's easy.

tracey emin, occupation- pointing out the bloody obvious

  • @sweetypie000

    lmao

  • Everybody is an artist, the problem is the bad ones are the most famous, if you disagree or don't believe I long to see what you will create, for it will be more true than a Da Vinci, Michael Angelo or Van Gough. We are not here to be famous, we are here to be remembered, and the most fantastic creation that one can bring to the world is a child, everything below that is amateur. Legacy = Life = Remembrance = Immortality

  • If you'd read Strangeland by Tracey Emin, you'd realize that she is not in fact a 'twerp'. The night of this TV show, she was out celebrating Gillian Wearing's Turner Prize win and was therefore completely drunk, in the book she describes how she doesn't even remember this room!

  • The definition of someone whos's disappeared up their own ass...You guessed it! Tracey Emin.

  • A pretentious dumbass. If she's an artist, then we all are. However whatever she is, she's nothing special.

  • She is awesome. Our artist should be nuts, crazy, passionate and insane. Bravo.

  • I love her. Genius. The End.

  • her paintings are beautiful.who cares if shes a drunk.those jerks can stew in their own juice.i can smell the mothballs from here

  • This woman is magic

  • You're not an artist. You've tricked the gullible

  • She is a fucking great artist.

  • What did you want to be when you grew up?

    A drunk? A drug addict

A motherly protector of the young?

    Another bed-staining cunt?

A child molestor that needs to be told?

Or just a craven lust-driven artist channelling confusion and fear into a sickly limp repetitive craft?

  • tracy made a total fool out of those people!! lol!

  • amy whinehouse? lol!

  • @benbrenyefski slighty worse

  • Anyone know what this program was called? I am curious to watch it in its entirety.

  • well she's an artist regardless of what people say. and she did produce artwork. how about we all leave it at that. let's not go into definitions and terminologies. because none of us will ever come to a conclusion. who is anyone to question what is and is not art.

  • tracey is love

  • she's the best!

  • It doesn't make me a misogynist or a bigot or anti-feminist or anti-art or anti-much to acknowledge that not only is Tracey Emin's art entirely emotionally bankrupt but she's also dumber than a doorknob by most accounts. Of course Saatchi loves her. Of course Hirst followed in the wake of this self-indulgent crap.

I hope the art bubble (continues to) burn all of these pretentious frauds.

  • lost all respect for he as a serious artist after seeing this

  • @123drue Well considering she done most of the work we know nowadays of hers was AFTER this, you really shouldn't.

  • I love Tracey she says what I want to say and don't have the guts to.

  • ...with a broken finger, awesome. Academic "painting discourse" sucks, I'm sorry your trapped by your student loans. Tracey kills!

  • fail

  • I love how she doesn't give a fuck what any of them thinks. I want to do that whenever I go to a party full of tossers.

  • TRACY EMIN ROCKS

  • Who kissed that man?

  • As much as I like to think it was an act to build an eccentric artist persona (like some conceptual artists do or did), this is probably not the case.

  • @ "MIDJOBZ" i wouldn't go around assuming that someone is a prostitute, for whatever reason. height of stupidity. actually she was abused as a child and raped as a teenager. very unstable upbringing. her work is cathartic helping her to release the traumatising emotions within her.

  • what an embarrasment

  • Gin and Tonic? ...

  • @MsGORGONS Probably Heineken! LOL

  • I prefer Karina Lombard than this hag

  • these art critics are making bafoons out of us the audience, reason having to say this is that Tracey Emin is nothing but a manufactured artist, where the need for a drunken controversial artist is to provoke and sell, her art is rubbish, comparing her with Frida Kahlo, or even Sarah Maple have talent,,, this woman is wierd, and I suspect she was a prostitute in her past that is very money orientated greedy and selfish.

  • @MIDJOBZ Well said.

  • greatest bit of art here is her non conformist attitude to this pile of human shite called "The Interview".

  • the finger is my favourite part

  • @MitchWadeCole same

  • Tracey Emin - go and die in a hole.

  • @AnimalNitrates What a lovely creature you are.

  • Fantastic.... I was one who thought her work was a waiste of time... but after reading up about her, ''getting to know her and her work'' better, her personality behind her work and her reasons, I now understand her work. And think unlike many contemporary artists out there, is genuine and honest, which we need a allot more of to start getting rid of the arrogance and pretentiousness that rules the world of art.

  • jeeeeeeeees i would be embarrsed if i was her...

  • blah blah more debate: whats art and whats not. whatever happened to live and let live?

  • terrible

  • Why has she got a Wonky Face? : )

  • I believe the problem with the "young British artists" like Emin is that their works are essentially copied after the American artist Robert Rauschenberg. Rauschenburg created brilliant pieces that were conceptionally complex and refreshing. But what is really the point of going on copying someone whose original motivation was to copy no one in the first place? I guess 2nd rate cloning in quantity is the purpose of this group of artists?

  • @NotNamedJones How exactly Emin or Hirst's work is a "clone" of Rauschenberg I can't see, yes obviously elements have influenced Postmodern art but it is no like for like copy. It's clearly not trying to copy, works like Emin's are a clear comment on today's life, so do you have problems with Warhol's work aswell as this or just all things you don't understand?

  • epitomising everything I hate about her!

I can't wait for the new wave of contempory artists, maybe they'll revert back to renoun gallery standards!

  • Tracey was definitely behind the door when the looks and talent were dished out. Somehow the mad old baggage has made a fortune ouf of it so someone on high must be looking favourably at it (I won't say "her" because I am not sure it is).

  • Tracey Emin is just fantastic. Just been reading Strangeland and she's so open and honest and true to herself. Art work thats good or not, it doesn't matter, art is subjective anyway and different opinions can be held by everyone. Some people enjoy Rothko's work, other people just see pointless squares which anyone could create. Point being I think she's one hell of a girl, I love her.

  • Tracy Emin, love her to bits. Anybody who can upset the class elite types is fine by me. Ha ha!

  • I love her.

  • I love her. To anybody that wants to question her creativity.... tell it to her banker and her millions. Fucking haters!

  • @DoYouSmokePaul

Tracy Emin is no more creative, than a Chimpanzee spread its own shit on a wall.

I personally would like to see Tracy Emin make art by harming herself.

  • @DoYouSmokePaul If money is the best indication of success as an artist, you must love Britney Spears, hm?

  • that's not the way to behave...

  • Tracey Emin = LEGEND

  • classic

  • tracey emin is a ledgend. she truly doesnt give a fuck! and for you who say shes not talented, our whole celebrity culture/media thing in the UK is full of people who have never lifted a single finger but are "superstars". xfactor springs to mind, emin seems true to herself and worked hard! thats all that matters.

  • Lol, yes she is drunk, yes she prob chain smokes BUT she is a multi millionaire and an artistic legend! Jealous?!

  • Oh good god, she is so unacttractive. She reminds me of a certain type of girl I almost always come accross when I go to a bar. You all know the type. The always drunk, chainsmoking, vapid airheads who think of themselves as a gift from god.

  • this is totally amazing and all of you suck.

  • how ebarssing, it doesnt matter wiether your an arist or if people like you or not. thats just embrassing...but in a funny 'god im glad im not you' way

  • muse-e-um piece

  • Who?

  • YOU PEAR SHAPED FAG HAG with your ROUND BUTTOCK HOMOS. ps., you cannot draw nor do anything positive but scratch your blood drippping nails onto a canvas and say it was me who did it?

  • Dear Tracy Emin,

If you are reading this could you please make art by harming yourself.

    Thank you

  • I hate when people call tracey talentless ? And say they can accomplish an unmade bed ! Because the fact is , people didn't see an unmade bed as art until she came along and did it and showed everyone her perception on art , and it was only then did people go around saying 'I could do that !' but before that people weren't saying they can pull of the bed as art or even have such an idea cross their minds! So yeh tracey is a genius !

  • @myminaturedelights Have you ever read anything or do you know anything about contemporary art?

The reason I ask is that whatever Tracey Emin has done has been done many years before. Examples - the pile of bricks in the Tate gallery 1960s), and the urinal by Marcel Duchamp (1917).

It's not new. What I would really like to know is the resale value of a typical Tracey Emin piece on the art market. Like Damien Hirst, she's so far past her sell-by date she's stinking.

  • Comment removed

  • @Withnail1969 to be honest your first comment was reasonable and I could actually see where you were coming from , but please the grammatical mistakes ? You're a moron for completely making a good argument on your behalf look completely petty and I don't write a comment on youtube and think about it being grammatically perfect , who does ?? Because this is just a way of showing your opinion , not a GCSE in English , which I did very well on by the way :)

  • Comment removed

  • Sorry mate, but she is talentless. In her defence though, 99% of contemporary art is baseless, forgettable, detritus. Time will see it consigned to the dustbins of history.

Ah yes the point of my post: Delacroix painted 'Le Lit Defait' (the unmade bed) more than 100 years ago - Emin's work is not original in the slightest.

Duchamp's 'The Fountain' (the upturned urinal) is only slightly less old and is probably the first instance when 'art' lost objective meaning.

So no, Emin is a twerp.

  • @plopgoesthetap yeh I totally understand and see your point of you , especially as it seems it's coming from someone who doesn't favor modern art at all but i think there is just something about her art which I like , I think it's fearless , it always has something bold to say and I just like her as a person , but yeh fair point:D

  • And you have a fair point too. If you like it, then that's utterly valid. I guess I don't like it because I find the fearlessness distasteful, but I suppose that too is merely a matter of subjective taste. Who knows what to think?

Credit to you though for replying to my comment in a nice, courteous way. Clearly other people struggle with this.

  • @plopgoesthetap I'm afraid i'll have to sound incredibly pretentious here but Emin's art, along with that of Hirst and other Postmodern artists, will certainly be held up for years to come; their art may not be a painting of beauty but that's the point, the idea that art can be challenged and that our ideas of what art is the foundation of this art, and exactly what Duchamp was trying to say. So, you can find it shit if you like but it certainly won't be "consigned to the dustbins of history".

  • @plopgoesthetap seriously, you sound like such a fucking idiot. It's people like you I really get annoyed by...just judging whatever you think isn't art. There are so many different art forms in the world, you really need to lighten up (:

  • @FreakyUnicorn exactly, even if people dont like it they should think about it really carefully and not jus assume that they're right. its like people thinking les demoiselles davignon was weird and stupid when pic first painted it

  • @plopgoesthetap Delacroix' was a painting, not an installation. And her bed in no way resembles it. Nice try though.

  • @plopgoesthetap If you think she's so crap why are you searching youtube for videos of her?

  • @plopgoesthetap When ever has any type of art been original?

  • @plopgoesthetap As Picasso said, nobody is original, there are just some who are better at stealing.

  • @plopgoesthetap

    Art never has "objective meaning".

  • @plopgoesthetap The difference is Delacroix didn't get an abortion and live in the bed. Oh, and no one's work is original, unless you live in a vacuum.

  • @plopgoesthetap .....first off define talent! second what makes you thing "ART" is a talent or even objective, Art is no different to the word "GOD" every one has their own version of it and is drawn to it in many ways, Duchamp was boarder line-genius!!! he changed how we interperet art or how we saw it! it doesnt mean it lost objective meaning infact it gained it! i dnt personaly like Emins much but i wouldnt say she was talentless

  • @plopgoesthetap Yes, Delacroix PAINTED a bed. Emin's was an installation, a physical part of her life at that time that she took out of it's normal context and put into a gallery. No one is original, No artist or musician, no creativity is entirely original. Influence is ALWAYS there, more so than perhaps even the artist intended.

So no, no artist is original. All are influenced and inspired by something or someone and therefore your argument is shit.

  • @plopgoesthetap stuckist

  • "people didn't see an unmade bed as art "

Thats because its not art. Tracy Emin is a talentless cunt.

Her Videos are completely boring, her pencil drawlings are shit. And her conceptual art is the most low brow, pretentious grbage, ever to have been spewed upon the world.

Tracy Emin can do the art world a favour, by making art through severe self harm.

  • excellent stuff

  • Tracey Emin is a talentless moron. Anyone, including a young child with learning difficulties can accomplish an unmade bed. All you have to do is not make it. She is a disgrace to the word art, she certainly isn't an artist.

  • Drunken twat - she has nothing interesting to say - its all "me, me, me"

  • Whore's filthy bed is a masterpiece. Buffoons from "artworld" destroyed real art.

  • haha plaudits to Emin!

  • Just goes to show how alcohol influences some of the shittest art out there.

    "Poo In A Can"

She should have opened that can and spread it on hear gums. Now that would be art.

  • that is a strong remark.

i am not sure if you are correct.

  • Hey man. Art, like music, is a matter of opinion.

It doesn't matter if the art itself is loved or hated by it's viewers. The simple fact that people express their opinions on it is what makes it art.

Personally I don't find any magic in her work.

She is a nice person and I feel sorry for her but I wont use my sympathy as a reason to say her work is cool.

Ok perhaps my remark was a bit harsh but I'm sure she's heard it all before.

  • i personally don't care for her work, that's beside the point for me. i don't think she is pitiful i think she is 'sad'. in a room of stuffy old men she made a crass move.

    that's her best work.

  • Yeah definitely.

She did the right thing by walking out and not taking their pompous bullshit.

I just feel bad that the situation seemed to make an example of her.

I hate alcohol and the way it portrays the people who drink it.

It annoys me that the worlds biggest killer is perfectly legal because it generates so much revenue. But that's another issue altogether.

  • fag

  • @Henw: Best you can come up with? You turnip-brained rhinoceros-cunt-mouth, face-like a french-fry that fell down the back of the fridge and gathered fluff and shit for nine years!

Fuck you !!! Go sit in your room and twang on your cheese-covered-bell-end waiting for your fuck-head friend, Henry the nonce- case to get there so you can jam together like a pair of spastics on acid being thrown down the stairs attached to a drum-kit.

Just make sure "special" Uncle Ralf don't find you alone.

    Peace!

  • it doesnt need to be original or anything like that, why dont people actually look at what she's saying with her artwork rather than looking at how she's done it

  • What is she saying with her artwork? Not much.

  • i dont't know i havnt really thought about it but i don't assume that becuase its not obvious it doesnt mean anything

  • @goldenfilly

    "i don't know, i haven't really thought."

    props.

  • Tracey: U R so great!!!!!!!

  • THIS FREAK NEEDS SOME ASS ABUSE

  • You need to shut the fuck up

  • An intellectual lightweight who got lucky.

50% tax on rich people like you, Emin, is to help pay for hospitals, education, care for the elderly.

    Hopeless case.

  • "An intellectual lightweight who got lucky."

Or you just don't understand art.. Her work is great

  • "Or you just don't understand her work" would be the laziest, least imaginative, and most bankrupt rejection of criticism against any artist.

Where does her talent lie? Simply in her honesty? That's really not enough.

  • does anyone understand art?

  • Bit of a wishy-washy question ?

  • yer XD i dont know shit about shit, i do like her work tho i liked the tent with all the people she slept with " does anyone understand art was my attemt at being all deep and meaningful ^^"

  • lol ;) ... Well, everyone can figure out what art means ... to themselves ... and I think one aspect is how it affects one and if one can relate, if it brings up questions or gives answers .... there's so much to it ... Also, in what context something is, the history, connections .... To me what is interesting is how art is now turning into a superficial commodity

Which I don't see Emin ass oops as

  • That's why she's the enfant terrible of British art. She's like some frigging prostitute on smack giving it away for a tenner.

  • Why are they seated in Dalek chairs?

  • For the love of god will this talentless whore get the fuck out of Britain.

  • please keep this typical English WHORE where she belongs to, which is ENGLAND.

Because I am scared of her settling in Switzerland LOL...

to be honest most of English are like this CUNT.

  • I really hope that none of swizterland are like you. I like swiss people and have many great times in switzerland. Being English in switzerland is great!.............although, i do agree with you that Ms emmin is a whore.

  • oh..I just fell more deeply in love...

  • I sorta understand? Her current art is shit, but she is and where she is comming from is golden.

  • Reading through the comments here, I guess I really don't understand britart. This women turns up at this interview drunk and makes a complete arse of herself, and you find this cool? What, is it edgy to be rude and embarrassing?

  • I don't understand? why was she drunk?

  • the woman who appears at 0:54 is my mom, no joke ^^

  • and definitely your Mom looks like a MAN! LOL

  • haha, grow up son ;)

  • she is a fucking amazing artist! i love her work!

  • agreed

  • unappologetic , amazing

  • Apart from when she later apologized and tried to claim it was pain killers from her broken finger.

  • she has a resemblance to Sandra Bernhard but fortunately a nicer mouth

  • looking at this lot of twats . im surprised if they could judge an infant schools art class. .

where the hell do they find these so called art critics.

    god help US.

  • "You people aren't relating to me now."

    Exactly.

  • LOL shes fucking awesome.

  • what a joke... the female equivilant to damien hirst not a good artist but a good bussiness person. her art is puddle deep and so is she ... there is far better in the art world than her she is just fortunate enough to have the right backers/money behind her shes only good because we are told she is good total rubbish

  • i agree

  • "equivilant to damien hirst"?¿

"she is only good because we are told is good" ?¿

well, i think if you use these statements all your comment is out..

do you really think something is good cause someone says it is? where is your criteria?

i don't believe you can judge such a sensitive work as tracey emin's work is

  • Her art sucks, but this appearance rocks.

  • She's one of few very talented contemporary european artists, although I suppose that this woman isn't really a likeable personality!?

  • This clip is from 1997, when she would have been 33. She's become a much calmer person since... although I LOVED the old Tracey!

  • tracy is brilliant. if u ever get a chance 2 read her book "Strangeland" READ IT

  • GO ON TRACEY!!!!!!!!

  • i fucking hate the skank, she is a talentless, artless, idea-less stupid whore, the fact that i live in a country where this bitch can can herself an artist and get away with it shows the shallow-ness of the art world in britain today and it breaks my heart. fuck off back the council estate your fucking prick emin, and take your skanking dog cum stained bed with you pathetic degenerate. she's the amy wineouse of the art world, only she has no talent whatsoever, alchoholic LOSER!

  • Jasonmhc speaks the truth emin fags

  • when i went to the tate modern with school we wernt even alowed to see her peices becuase of nudity and its like for fuck sake why have art where the younger genarations cant see
