Basically what I'm saying is, (figuratively speaking) I would keel for a chance to own some of these Weekday and Saturday recordings of shows AND commercials from Fox Kids, Kids WB, Toonami, and others! Watching shows and commercials even for free STILL....... WON'T bring back that instant nostalgic vibe that ONLY our classic networks TOGETHER (Shows, commercials, AND promos together) had given us!

It's obvious at this point that alot of these Retro commercials are uploaded from old vhs tapes.... In the mid 90's I USED TO have recorded shows/clips/commercials from.... the mid 90s including old Nick, USA cartoon express, and others!

@Nightavenger2 Most of "these" promos you can only find on the internet, or if someone was fortunate enough to tape record them when they aired on tv. Other than that, only a few of these promos are on "official" tapes............ Unless you call Disney (who owns Fox Kids) or Warner Bros. and ask them for a copy of these commercials.

I blame the telecom act for the decline of weekday cartoons. Some people thought TV kid shows need an obligation to be educational, and networks opted not to show cartoons when they struggled to find alternatives. PBS is the last broadcast network with good cartoons because they always had a knack for educational cartoons. Fox afternoons is now filled with Dr Oz and court shows!

TV watching is supposed to be a fun adventure.. it's not TV's job to educate, that's for parents and schools

@ccricers It's a complete joke. I laugh at how some of these networks will slap a "E/I" logo on any random show. ABC Kids is the worst offender. They'll slap it on shows like That's So Raven. How is that show educational? lol. Anyway, I want to say "I feel bad for today's kids," but they don't really know what they're missing and how much better things used to be. I guess that's why they say "ignorance is bliss," isn't it?

I remember this; it was a promo for the Fox Kids 1994-1995 season. One thing that irritated me was how Fox kept promoting the Spider-Man series in Fall '94, even though it wouldn't premiere until February of the following year.

I myself grew up in the 90's and it is a shame how most (if not all) the major networks have gone down the tube: Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Disney, etc ... I really do miss the days of the 90's and early 2000's (before 2002, that's when Cartoon Network the last of the best started to go down the tube).

It was called Rimba's Island. It was part of the Fox Cubhouse (geared more towards pre-schoolers). It aired on Saturday mornings--and some weekdays too if memory serves me-- usually before most of the main animated block of programming began.

Fox Kids was so much better then Kids WB. I was a teenager when both debuted. I loved Fox Kids but I found Kids Wb to be childish(except for Superman and Freakazoid) compared to Fox Kids. Fox Kids had combinations of humor(Animaniacs, Eek the Cat, Tiny Toons) and action(Batman, Spider-Man, X-Men, Power Rangers). It was the best. Plus, Kids Wb was responsible fro that goddamn Pokemon show which ruined cartoons and the media since it's debut. I miss those days. I wish we could go back.

It was the fact that Kids WB had made their other shows sit in the sidelines or in most cases cut them from their lineup entirely, because they thought that their anime shows were the ONLY programs that brought something to the table!!!!!

@beyrsf Yeah, watching on demand isn't quite the same as watching it on TV, waiting everyday for the next episode to come on, and just enjoying to overall feel of a good TV network. And yeah, there is no balance in TV anymore these days. All I ever see is marathons of the same shows every day. Turn on Nick and it's 40% iCarly, 40% Spongebob and 20% other shows. Then looked what happened when Naruto hit the scene, the EXACT thing happened!!!!!!!!! So unless a REAL change happens to the rest of these networks now...

Growing up we had such intelligent children's programs introducing us properly to mature themes of adulthood, Batman: the Animated Series, Spiderman (the 90's version that often crossed over with X-men), and X-Men itself among many more.

I watch this & become more infuriated with the direction of today's kid shows. I mean, Fox Kids was a tour de force in the early to mid 90's. They didn't just have one popular show. Their entire Saturday morning & weekday line-ups were hit after hit shows. Programs of this caliber are practically non-existent these days. It's a shame because there's obviously a market for QUALITY animated programming with the countless YouTube videos/comments about this & 80's era toons.Just SAD

Now the ONLY american cartoon I can think of that's on 4AnimeTV.. I mean 4KidsTV is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. But still, the Fox Kids of the past is gone now. All we have now is Anime, Anime, and more Anime. At most there shouold be 1-2 Anime shows on Saturday Mornings. Saturday mornings of the past had a large variety of shows/show styles. Actually...now, the only anime 4Kids show is Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters. And Fox did it because the were losing ratings to Disney, who now stop showing JETIX on ABC Family. (previously called FOX Family) DAMN THEM!!!

Actually, it's Yu-Gi-Oh GX and Dinosaur King that are the only anime shows that are new to 4Kids TV. Plus, they got reruns of Sonic X and TMNT Fast Forward. Winx Club has ended, and Dinosaur King actually kinda makes 4Kids feel like Fox Kids reborn.
