Oh,wow. This hypothesis was one of the first proposed proposed by Bible believing Geologists to explain the distrubution of fossils throught the geological column. It happens to also be the first one those same Bible believing Geologists rejected as a real explination of fossil distribution. The "slow stupid/faster smarter" hypothesis hasn't been seriously proposed since about a half a century before Darwin published Origin. Way to be up to date...
