  • hut, hut

    HUT!

  • vince lombardi and tom landry. Two of the best coaches ever. I wish we could have seen them play against each other.

  • This is older than my right nut.

  • @jp3sucks as opposed to your left nut, or is it nonexistent. just breaking balls, lol. great film.

  • Congratulations Packers on winning Super Bowl XLV ! The old man would have been proud:)

  • The sweep was powerful because of team effort, there's strength in numbers.

  • Vince Lombardi's system was not complex at all; his playbook was always one of the smallest in the pros. The AFL featured the high-octane, vertical passing attacks of the Raiders and Chiefs and Chargers, while Lombardi's Packers ran the power "Packer" sweep to perfection. The difference? The fundamentals. The attention to detail. And yeah, Lombardi was hard on his players, but they LOVED him for it. His tactics, his methods, would work at any time in history because of the man teaching it!

  • Now This is Football,This is America.

  • I actually learned a few things

  • Green Bay's Offense and Special Teams back in the 60's was the DEFINITION of blocking. Just superb blocking at just the right time and just the right amount of power to knock them down

  • GENIUS !

  • Coach Lombardi's keys to great football:

    1) Aim your head at the other man's crotch.

    2) Release the other man to your rear.

    Uh...ok, Coach...

  • Lombardi was da man......

  • Man that was some good stuff. Not only did he know football, but he taught Latin, algebra, physics, and chemistry. He was a renaissance man!

    Thanks for posting.

  • wow, years later and lombardi is still coaching people through this video

  • Lawd this is some great stuff! Thank you so much for sharing this piece of history!

  • We need more real coaches Like Coach Lombardi !~!~

  • He had no prejudice. To me that is the key of his teams. They didn't seperate by race or quotas like a lot of other teams in the NFL and AFL.

  • @Ariamaluum That's right. Lombardi didn't give a damn about a man's color. All he cared about was if a man could block, tackle, run, and if he would give 100% every play. He once said (as a joke): "There's only three colors on this team (the Packers): Green, Gold, and Italian."

  • @TheGinger48. The irony of that: I don't think Vince had an Italian player on his teams in Green Bay or Washington.

  • Lucky - You MUST get the rest of this up here. I'll buy you a VCR, if that's what you need!

  • where's the rest? Great post!

  • this is a cool video. i watched all of it. now i know why the dallas cowboys offensive line is off sides so often.

  • i sucked on somthing slimy

  • wow this is my uncles video

  • This is when coaches ran the team, instead of the players

  • @metalrod23 Would be interesting to see how Vince Lombardi would deal with the prima donnas of today. He'd probably get rid of half the team. I like Brett Favre, but Lombardi wouldn't have tolerated him not going through training camp with the rest of the team.

  • Vine you are the GOD of football coaching ! This video is so moving . .this is how great you were and why EVERY Super bowl winner wins the Lombardi Trophy . .you set the STANDARD for what makes a great coach and a great human being . . no celebrating before the end of the game and no long hair sticking out of the helmet . . today football has degenerated into corporate entities . remember kiddies VINCE LOMBARDI - ANOTHER ITALIAN GOD !

People are not made with the same strength and intelligence

  • 57 looks like squiggy

  • "The Pop"

  • not like a typewriter LOL!

  • What's a typewriter?

  • A typewriter is a mechanical or electromechanical device with a set of "keys" that, when pressed, cause characters to be printed on a medium, usually paper.

  • what ? I took typing in high school . . funny how kids these days have no clue . . what is a typewriter ???????? google images will show you . . try that . .???????

  • Actually I meant that as a kind of a joke. I took a class in typing in High School way back in the day-a mechanical one at that, (shows how old I am).

  • Lol. I thought this was for people who knew football...not beginners learning the game...Thanks Vince...

    lol.

  • Tip...this is about Lambeau, ah?

  • Coach Lombardi! They just aren't making coaches like him anymore. This kind of attention to detail was what made Lombardi's Packers so great. Other teams may have had more talented players, but Coach Lombardi's Packers were always the best coached and prepared and that is why more often than not they ended up winning.

  • LuckyLaRue17 You Should keep this in a gold or glass case because this is more valuable than Diamond this is legendary and ur lucky for getting this.... Dont ever lose it lol this is priceless

  • id follow every command from that voice. battlefield, football field or life. what a man. what presence. what an old school american.

  • @saltwaterebel Damn..me too.

  • Note that first Ram hit him but did not wrap him up.

  • This is soooo cool. Old school baby!

    Thanks for posting!

  • GOD bless you Vincent . Go PACKERS ! "We are going to be relentless and chase perfection" . From one Die Hard Packers Fan.

  • I hate the Packers, but I love Vince Lombardi.

  • I love the way he methodicaly explains everything.

The rythmic, and the non-rythmic cadence. Cool.

  • Wow this is great, fascinating as to the science of football.

  • He was not only a great coach, he was a terrific teacher - that Jesuit Fordham education really comes through. He taught Chemistry and, I believe, Latin at Saint Cecilia's HS in NJ before going to Army to coach, where.Red Blaik also influenced his coaching gifts.

  • ..HUT...........................HUT HUT!

    Damn.

  • yea man . .that is old school and those players are more disciplined than today's players . .Vince would kick them in their ass if they screwed up no matter how big . .Vince was TOUGH . . you would never DARE to disrespect him . .your ass would be GONE . .he was tough but he was fair and he was GREAT GREAT GREAT !

  • @ITALOVER2 Are you an Italian American?

  • wow this is something that george halas could never figure out

  • this is awesome

  • greatest NFL coach ever to walk the sideline...man if only he would come back to life and teach our defense to stay strong the whole game lol

  • check out that 60s music. go pack!!

  • Thanks for the kind words all.

My VCR has given up the ghost and I haven't had the gumption to replace it :) One way to catch more footage is to keep an eye out on eBay for tapes from this series.

  • great clip!!! any chance of getting the whole program on here??? its so classic

  • YES! Stacks thanks for send ing this to me bro.

    Absolute CLASSIC!

  • Vince Lombardi is the Patron Saint of football in my opinion. NO wonder this guy was awesome, watching this i understand football more. He makes it so easy to follow and know the game. I really dont have a favorite team but after watching this I am going Green. Go packers! Vince if God! man this is awesome to watch. thank you

    Blessed be to you.

  • great
