  • Best of all were the stain-resistant dress and dirty glass moments.lol

  • This is such an offbeat film of Liz's and that's why it's so good.

  • I have this film on dvd and I love it. The acting is good. This is one of Elizabeth Taylor's least known films. The music is very soothing to listen to, especially the piano music.

  • do you want to "eat me"? lol

  • This film is by Patroni Griffi, one of Italy' s best directors of intellectual movies ever. It's been made after a novel by Muriel Spark and the film is very faithful to it. Like "Boom" (made by Joseph Losey, again, an intellectual) it is regarded today as "camp", "cheezy" , a "B-Movie" that deserves "rotten tomatoes" and the bemused condescendant interest of some culturally challenged nerds. How sad . They miss the point completely and don't even acknowledge Liz Taylor 's talent.

  • I liked it and there is no doubt that a lot of this movie is supposed to be funny. I think Liz had a flair for weird deadpan comedy.

  • @chasspeed I agree, there's humour in it just like in Muriel Spark's novella (which I recommend).

  • This would make a great double feature with "Boom!" - which has Liz even further over the top than this one.

  • I agree. The plots are even similar. In "Boom!" Richard Burton is supposed to represent death and in "Driver's Seat" Elizabeth Taylor goes through the whole movie looking for death.
