Some teams got rellegated when they should have stayed up. Also Arsenal had gained 9 points from corrected decisions, Man City lost 1 point as well as chelsea and manchester united. Therefore it does happen but Arsenal where REALLY unlucky and the other three were lucky.

So many people need to learn and understand stoppage time and stop using it as an excuse. First of, they clearly say "a minimum of __ to be added". Secondly, each sub in a game counts for 30 seconds. And the ref isn't going to blow the whistle if an attacking team is in the opponents half. If the boot was on the other foot you'd be quite here.

as an arsenal fan, people should stop complaining unless they know the rules correctly. When a ref adds extra time, it is the minimum amount of time added, how long the game goes on afterwards is up to the ref. So the sunderland goal and liverpool goal are legitimate, complaints of time should not be an excuse to give away silly goals like those away, the penalty might have been soft against liverpool but it was the right call.

reminds me a lot of the 2007/08 season. everybody forgets that team, but the likes of fabregas, flamini, a fully fit rosicky, and hleb playing off eduardo (before THAT injury) and adebayor (before THAT arrogance) was for me the best football arsenal have ever played, and until march we were taking the league by storm (we were five points clear of united with a game in hand at the end of february). then a string of draws in large response to stupid refereeing decisions cost us the league.
Don't forget Abidal grabbing Van Persie around the throat at the Nou Camp which was a borderline red card and was not even yellow carded or even warned by the ref... Not to mention Van Persie's sending off against them later on in the game over absolutely nothing.

I'm an Arsenal fan but even I find these clutching at straws a little. As much as Barton is a disgusting human being, it wasn't a red card. 12 seconds over the added time is really nitt picking. We also got the benefit of the doubt ie the offside wrongly given vs Birm in the cup final which would have been a red card and penalty early on. All teams have these moments in a season, I'm sure every team could have their video.

This video is pure speculation. However, (and I'm an Arsenal fan) it does show how there were some very big referee decisions that went against us in the critical moments. After a while, it took its toll on our morale. Some were bad calls, some were good, some are debatable. But it was demoralizing, and more importantly, they happened in close games where 3 points were on the line.

LOL So funny. You need to learn how the rules of football work mate. Especially how added time works and the amount added on for stoppages on top of the initial added time. You spent around a minute and a half getting ready for your own penalty versus Liverpool, then 30 secs for the penalty itself, that easily takes it to 100 minutes before you take into account the amount you moaned about the freekick before we were awarded the penalty.

as an arsenal fan, people should stop complaining unless they know the rules correctly. When a ref adds extra time, it is the minimum amount of time added, how long the game goes on afterwards is up to the ref. So the sunderland goal and liverpool goal are legitimate, complaints of time should not be an excuse to give away silly goals like those away, the penalty might have been soft against liverpool but it was the right call.

reminds me a lot of the 2007/08 season. everybody forgets that team, but the likes of fabregas, flamini, a fully fit rosicky, and hleb playing off eduardo (before THAT injury) and adebayor (before THAT arrogance) was for me the best football arsenal have ever played, and until march we were taking the league by storm (we were five points clear of united with a game in hand at the end of february). then a string of draws in large response to stupid refereeing decisions cost us the league.

I'm an Arsenal fan but even I find these clutching at straws a little. As much as Barton is a disgusting human being, it wasn't a red card. 12 seconds over the added time is really nitt picking. We also got the benefit of the doubt ie the offside wrongly given vs Birm in the cup final which would have been a red card and penalty early on. All teams have these moments in a season, I'm sure every team could have their video.

Any team can compile a dossier of "evidence" to show that they are mistreated by referees.
Over a whole season, it evens itself out - good decisions and bad decisions. And Arsenal, quite frankly, never deserved the title. They had relegation form at the end of the season - nothing to do with referees.
And even if Arsenal had these 12 points extra due to better referees, it would be no guarantee both Chelsea and Manchester United would play exactly the same way too. They might step up!

there's more to add in the Sunderland (A) game, Song got sent off quite soft. two "bookable" offences. and the 4 minutes added was in the first place too much.
In the Bolton (A) game, Walcott was denied a clear penalty and Bolton got a very soft.

And the added time at the end of a match is the MINIMUM the ref can play on for, it's not the maximum. So if the ref feels as if the game should go on for 4 minutes longer, (because the time was stopped within the added time) he is allowed to do so.

By the way, the rules of extra time are that when the 4th official shows how many minutes there need to be added, thats a minimum. So if in extra time theres a lot of time lost due to penaltys and freekicks, the ref can decide too let the game go on longer.

This video is pure speculation. However, (and I'm an Arsenal fan) it does show how there were some very big referee decisions that went against us in the critical moments. After a while, it took its toll on our morale. Some were bad calls, some were good, some are debatable. But it was demoralizing, and more importantly, they happened in close games where 3 points were on the line.
Enough on that though: need to look to next season. :)

Most PL teams could make a video 3x longer than this. The offsies WERE offside, the extra times were from set plays and in the liverpool game there were constant set plays and van percy wasted a minute taking off his shirt and fleeing from the ref. A lot of penalties against you were valid and not "soft" in any way shape or form (while most other teams have had many soft). The claim for a penalty when the ball hits kuyts chest is just moronic. Honestly, you just claimed about 5 non penalties and showed them to us that they clearly were penalties, and about 2 offsides when they clearly were offside. Get a fucking grip. You arsenal fans are so arraogant thinking by default you should have 3 points every game and any less is some sort of major contraversy. It comes off Kuyt's ribcage ya plank.... and the added time on also was for arsenals goal celebration and how long it took hit the free kick at the end and some other things of course. And how can you say that it is not possible to add 12 seconds on from 4 minutes added time... Complete joke this video

LOL So funny. You need to learn how the rules of football work mate. Especially how added time works and the amount added on for stoppages on top of the initial added time. You spent around a minute and a half getting ready for your own penalty versus Liverpool, then 30 secs for the penalty itself, that easily takes it to 100 minutes before you take into account the amount you moaned about the freekick before we were awarded the penalty.
Honestly, you only have yourselves to blame.
