If you think kesselring was better than Rommel. .then Monty was better than Patton...Anyways...I give you credit as for Erich Von Manstein being the best.(as a strategist)his idea before battle of kursk was to use elastic defence and pull little back...the whit use a Gigantic blitzkrieg to push the Sovets into a trap at the sea...was genius...

Kesserling and Von Manstein were better generals than Erwin Rommel. The Desert Fox is just a great propaganda tool. Look how he wasted so many good troops in Tobruk in 1941. He almost destroyed the Afrika Korps there then. he wasn't removed because he was a favourite of the Fuhrer.
@HomarLeonardo Rommel was never favorite with Hitler,Rommel was a great tactician,he was very capable of turning the tables around he was always under manned under armored and he always beat the shit of the british,except in the Alemein when he was totally out of resources and the US help was constantly reinforcing the Brits.Manstein was an Strategist,Rommel was a tactician to different things.Kesselring was a luftwaffe general.
@blaugot My Grandfather was in the British forces that were captured at Tobruk. And he didn't come out of the war with any resentment towards the Germans. He hated Hitler, Goebells, Himmler etc... But he never had any ill feelings towards the Germans.
Even though I am anti nazi, I am a hugh fan of Rommel and the Afrika Korps. I have some books about them and I think David Irving's "The trail of the Fox" is the best documented one.
Hey guys, what do you think about these books? Which of these is the best for you?: - Fowes of the desert, by Paul Carell - The Afrika Korps, by Erwan Bergot - Africa Corps, by Kenneth Macksey - With Rommel in the desert, by Heinz Schmidt. - Rommel, the desert fox, by Desmond Young. - The trail of the Fox, by David Irving. - General Field Marshal Rommel, by Lutz Koch.
Rommel fué un alemán, militar y hombre de principios.

@Bromberg39 Rommel was a traitor? To who.....Hitler??? That doesn't make him a traitor that makes him a decent man, which he was anyway
TalonMercenary 2 months ago 2
@TalonMercenary
He was not only a traitor to the system, which pushed him up to field marshal,
but worst, to his subordinated soldiers.
Because of him, thousands died in the normandy.
False, late or no orders kill soldiers!!!
He was guilty and felt guilty.

Amazing unit!!!! Rommel at his best, always undersupplied but cunning as hell. Great usage of limited weaponry against massive British strikes.
