  • thanks for your videos, man... found it very helpful and informative>>>

  • 10 troy oz in a Pound

    16 oz in a pound

  • nice collection , check mine . keep stackin

  • troy ounce is 31.1 grams

  • FreeSilverLiberties dot com

  • this guy is a dumbass he does not know anything about silver

  • The only nichel that has silver is the wartime nichel (35% silver) and a ounce has 31.06 g.

  • There's absolutely NO silver in a U.S. Buffalo NICKEL! Get your facts straight!

  • Thanks for this video, I have just a small correction.

The French 1 and 2 franc and 50 centimes pre-1920 are in fact 0.900 silver (90%) and not 0.835 (83.5%).

It's a minor detail but important should you want to re-sell them and get the full silver value.

The small 5 franc coin from 1960-70 is 0.835 however. They are quite common in France and a good buy as well.

I own a lot of these same coins, bonne continuation with your collecting and investing!

  • the us nickel he is holding is not silver it is 75% copper and 25% nickel

    only 1942-45 was 35% silver

I believe he was holding a 1936 towards the end

  • thanks. I have a 35% silver nickel and also a tube of the buffalo nickels he was hold. I got them for free from my father-in-law but was almost sure they only had nickel in them.

  • Where's your gold?

  • Brain fart - all the Maples are .9999. Don't know if that is a huge deal. Yes - do love the fact they stamp them twice. Don't like the hag's pic on them though.

  • To the guy/gal that mentioned the new Maple .9999 silver coins I believe those are the 2010 Vancouver commemorative coins. That is about as pure as it gets for a coin.

I like silver coins like Buffalos or Walking liberties that a closer to melt value, but if not those, my favorite are the Philharmonics - beautiful coins, packed in a very small 500 box, so easiest to store away.

  • I'll pass on the pyramid schemes and just buy mine outright, silver is cheap right now!

  • interesting video but I have to correct him on something....I am an American coin collector....that BUFFOLO NICKEL (5 cent coin) he showed is "not" silver, no silver at all....it is nickel. The only american coins that were silver are the "pre"-1965 silver dollar, half dollar, quarter and dime. Nickels have never been silver in theUSA with the exception of the "jefferson nickel" from ww2...it had some silver in it but not alot

  • Thank you! If you browse the comments, it has allready been pointed out by another viewer. Thanks for watching by the way!

  • From mid 1942 to 1945, so-called "Wartime" composition nickels were created. These coins are 56% copper, 35% silver and 9% manganese.

  • 66-70 half dollars had 40% silver

  • @inkey2 Any american nickel made from 1942-1945 is 35% silver

  • @inkey2 Any american nickel made from 1942-1945 is 35% silver

  • a silver investment that I am heavily investing in is....the 1964 John F. Kennedy (American) half dollars. They are 90% silver, they have virtually no collectors premium, they are still new enough so they have not worn down in circulation and you can buy them by the truck load on Ebay.

  • How much do they weigh and how much is the price in the States for them?

    Thanks

  • reply to nonkelroge: the 1964 John F. Kennedy half dollar weighs 0.445 of an ounce. They are 90% silver. I have bought about 1000 of them in the last month. The price ranges from about $5.50 to $6.00 each on ebay. I personally believe, for a number of reasons, that this is the best value and best form of silver to buy.

  • this guy is wrong on gram counts for.. but his video is helpful..

the botom line is get silver/gold and hold on to it..

the day will come you will be happy you did

  • Hi. Thanks for watching. Yes I made a mistake on that. If you browse throught the reactions, you will see that I have corrected myself on that.

    Cheers man.

  • Thanks! I would absolutelly go for the 90% coins. the lowest alloy I got is 83.5%.

  • A troy ounce is 31.103grams. What do you think of investing in 90% or 40% silver coins?

  • who cares? just get as much as possible.

  • Thanks man. I know. But I wish they had a hallmark on them stating ".999"

  • Now you understand what I mean. Either PM's can be used as a mean of payment themselves, or one can sell them for other currencies ( most likely electronic ). Eitherway if you hold PM's, you don't lose anything, but in contrary you store your wealth.

  • Mate, Silver American Eagles are .999

  • one concern that always pops up in my mind , when I here comments like when gold is 5000 per ounce silver could possibly

get to 500 an ounce ,based on a 10 -1 ratio , while it sounds exciting , my question is who would be the buyer

if the dollar collapse or goes into hyper inflation , and this sends gold and silver way up

who would be the buyer of silver at that point why would anyone give up their silver for worthless paper

the only use in that situation is using it for trade currency

  • on 4:25, buffalo nickels are not silver by the way. it is 75% copper and 25% nickel

  • Thanks man. Many guys told me that already. :)

  • Nice vids!

  • wow what a great vid

  • the mapple leaf is more pure than the AMERICAN SIlver Eagle? i think not. i dont think the leaf is more pure than the mapple, maybe the same but not more.

  • Please tell me the result when you make a deep inside analysys of theese coins using special equipment and measuring devices, because I would like to know too witch coin is the purest. As Far as I know 9999 is more prefered for me that 999. By the way this is not a criticism of the US eagle, but just the fact purity is better. If the purest silver coin was made in Uganda or Timbuktu, it would be my favorite in stead of the canadian maple leaf.

  • I forget the website but I've heard that the canadian mint now has .99999 silver maple leafs now.. but they're only going to be available for a short time.. I think its apmex maybe?.. im not really sure whats with all the 9's.. I mean how many can you have before you get 100% pure lol..

  • The Maple Leaf, believe it or not, is more pure than the Silver Eagle. The Maple is the purest silver bullion coin in the world.

  • says who? .999 pure is .999 pure..show me some facts before i just believe anything i hear on youtube

  • No time. I just know. Try doing some research too mate! ;) It's not my point to be spreading bullshit about theese serious things such as preciuous metals investing. Let me know what you found?

    Cheers

  • I agree fully---.999 is .999

    however...

    the maple is .9999

  • you can go to Monex or just look at the Maple..they're so proud of its purity they stamp .9999 twice on the coin

  • the gold maple (.9999) is more pure than the gold eagle(.9167) as well. like nonkel said, just do some research of your own rather than "it's not that way because I don't think it's that way"

  • New Zealand silver fern bullion is also .9999

  • Yeah. If I had alot of cash I'd out it all in Gold and Silver. Have been telling people about Peter Schiff and the problem of fiat paper/electronic currency. Hoping to make my ascent before it all hits the fan!!!

  • Haha That's what I thought a year ago. You will be amazed how fast your silver will accumulate once you start looking for it. I own only 5gr of gold and my girl is holding on to it for safe keeping. Just don't make the mistake I did in the beginning; buying from expensive dealers. Look for the common epole who are selling silver. But always give them the honest price for it, as people don't like a greedy rat.

Best of luck and thanks for the reply!

  • the last coin was a nickel

    not a silver coin

the smallest silver coin is a dime

there was one year of a silver nickel

but i do not think it was a buffalo nickel

  • Thank you for the info! Diden't know that :(

  • Your silver collection sux.

Stellarconcepts blows you out of the water. He has 3000oz!

  • Thanks for the comment. My intention is not to show off my silver collection, but to give information about certain ways of holding physical silver to the people who are interested in alternative investing. And also I only started investing in silver in 2008 man ;) So off course I will not such a huge portfolio hehe.

Sterling zilver: 925 = 92.5% zilver, rest koper ( of andere metaal )

    Fijn zilver: .999 of .9999

  • 1 troy oz is 31.1034768 grams, 1 standard ounce is 28 grams

  • also some nickels minted around WW2 are 35% silver the later ones contain no silver

  • Yes that is a mistake I made during recording. In the Dutch version of this video the weight is explained right. Thanks for the comment!

  • The only USA nickels that contain silver are the years 1942-45 and they are only 35% silver

  • Thanks for the info man. Diden't know that unfortunatelly :(
