  • This film is not a documentary, it is a brainwashing propaganda.

  • @Salahuddin2009a I highly doubt its 'brainwashing'.

  • This is almost as bad ass as when she enters Rome. Once again, absolutely superb!

  • I love the dress, the boat, and lyse excessive beauty here.unforgettable movie!!!! It's the real seventh art..

  • I love how this movie takes the time to develop the characters, so that you actually care about them, unlike many new shorter classless movies these days

  • wooww to think this was shot wayy back before CGI was used in movies! I love the setting, costumes and everything! This movie must've cost a bomb!

  • i really like antonys blue suit!! i think its really awesome

  • It seems like royals sat on their asses a lot.

  • As any of her paramours will testify, she was difficult to ride and boy did she buck and bolt to a different stallion.

  • Amazing Movie

  • god, it would be awesome to be cleopatra.

  • Poor Rufeo xD

Errand Runner to an alcoholic idiot^^

  • lol at the palm tree on her ship

  • @SuperFlyingTortoise

It's not real. It's made of actual gold.

  • smart girl: she new he went there for money and purposely wore the gold coins to bait him, furthermore acted as if she had no concept of time to show that she hadn't been thinking of him while he has thought plenty of her.

  • Wow! Elizabeth Taylor is still alive. She must be about 123 .Will she ever die?

  • @cobalt100 Elizabeth Taylor was born February 27, 1932. She is 79 years old. May she have long life!

  • @cobalt100 She's been married 8 times and had pretty much every disease under the sun. She's been an alcoholic, pill popper, had a brain tumour, had a hysterectomy, and nearly died of pneumonia which resulted in a tracheotomy. She's had more surgeries than anyone can could (Burton, in his journal mentions some 20-odd surgeries in 1970) and that was when she was only 38 years old.

  • @Cybele1986 Eight marriages? Sounds like this goddess was forged in Hell. Glad I wasn't one of those unfortunate individuals.

  • @cobalt100 Goddess forged in Hell? More like, one of the most talented women in the world. As far as being glad that you weren't one of those "unfortunate" individuals, she would have never had the likes of you. So, no worries then.

  • @PoliticallyCorrect17 The first time that my wife and I saw a movie with Elizabeth Taylor in it, was the last time my wife and I went to a movie with Elizabeth Taylor in it.

  • @cobalt100 your wife must have been intimidated extremely by her beauty - she's has passed way and may she rest in peace - i love her so much

  • @cobalt100 So why did you look again a movie with Liz Taylor ? Only to affront her and to ambush those who like this movie and making fans of such movies feeling worse ?

  • @cobalt100 LOL! jealous much?

  • @cobalt100 I don't know if your highly religious or not because I've just glanced at this now and it has annoyed me so very much already. How dare you. How very well dare you sir. Who do you think you are to pass such a judgement on another human being, whom you do not personally know, with that poisonus tongue. 'Goddess forged in hell' pah! Hardly. Why has such hatred boiled within you? God would be ashamed to inspire such hate on his behalf! If it exists I'm sure shes in heaven now!

  • @cobalt100 sdfu idiot

  • @cobalt100 you, my not so good sir, are a terrible human being.

  • @cobalt100 she did today! very very sad

  • @cobalt100 She tied today. March 23.

  • burton was also good as Alexander the Great!

  • Some items on Roman menues sound and don't look much appetizing to us today such as Peacock's brains, Flamingo tounges, roasted Doormice, songbirds and Larks.

  • Liz Taylor's costumes in this movie were gorgeous!

  • Cleopatra sure knew how to amaze and impress!

  • The feast scene was awesome!

  • Love this part when Cleopatra sails to Tarsus to meet Antony!

  • MarcAntony: I have a fondness for all Greek things

Cleopatra: Well, as an 'almost' all Greek thing.. I'm flattered

    lol..brilliant

  • i would ride that golden ship anywhere even to grocery store if i could!!

  • I wonder what happened to the boat after filming. It would be amazing if they could rent it out for charity to any one that wanted to be "Cleopatra" for a day. I know I would pay top dollar.

  • i like the ship 0_o

golden ships i haven't seen them this days 0_

  • i love the music^^

  • vuvuzelas!

  • Alex North's music is excellent and one of the outstanding features of this film. This music for Cleopatra's barge and the end credits are exceptional.

  • love that scene

  • Martin Landau was a fine young actor.

  • Geez! Luxurious Travel Redefined!

  • they sure went through a lot of trouble to make this film but it was worth it in the end!

  • @siobhans96 So true!

  • fantastic movie. they just dont make them like this anymore. wow.

  • this must be called pride and pride

  • i didn't know they had trumpets back then...

  • crazy boat!

  • Wow what a party, they just don't know how to throw a decent party these days!

  • @vincentdifondi

Actually what you saw there was nothing to how it really was. According to historical accounts, the plates, goblets and cutlery, in addition to being made of pure gold, were studded with precious stones. The air was heavily perfumed from the rose petals on the floor which reached to your knee.

  • n.t. compared to 3rd banquet, where Cleopatra disolved a fabulous tear-pearl in vinegar to win the bet with Anthony & seduce him

  • @1972jewish

That may have been a myth. The calcium carbonate in pearls does dissolve in vinegar, but slowly unless the pearl is first crushed.

  • The best moment of the entire movie!

  • Ugh, that wig!

  • "fabulous feast!!" "One is so limited when one travels by ship." - that throw away line by Cleo is priceless, as if her fabulous wealth is merely a trifle!

  • so beautiful

  • Liz Taylor made such a MILF Cleopatra, didn't she?:)

  • One the best movies ever made. To me it's a classic because of the beauty of the costumes and scenery but natural chemistry that formed between burton and taylor.

  • i love this movie

  • i want to be QUEEN ;P

  • lol

  • "as an almost all-Greek thing, I'm flattered.."

  • the only thing I could think of more extravagent than this is a movie made completely of gold. This movie is probably more expensive than several countries

  • Her barge is magnifent!

  • this is a very rich movie, even the colors display the pure extravagance of royalty in that age

  • This was one of the last big epic movies: you could not reproduce this type of film today without bankrupting a small country.

Made in the days before you had CGI.

  • @bcarls50 Totally!

  • She always makes such an entrance lol, great movie so far

  • The real life Cleopatra was known for the grand entrance.

  • thanks!

  • Thank you very much for the cleopatra movie...... I had to answer questions for a final examination take home for my latin class and this helped me alot thank you thank you thank you

  • wow times have changed! An assignment to watch Cleopatra for Latin class?
