  • thank you for this beautiful moment of joy.

I'm a classical piano player but I'm trying to find myself through the persian radif. I will really be glad to have max of information about my natal classical music.

Thank you and greetings from Paris

  • Hi, I am trying to learn this piece myself, and wondered how you tuned your santour. The problem I am finding is that you need both

"si- be kar", "si- be moll", "si- koron", if you try to play with a base in "shour-re" or rather its corresponding dashti...

Thank you for submitting these videos, much appreciated.

  • The white si was tuned si-bemol and the yellow one was tuned si-koron. I hope that helps.

  • Salam! Dasteton dard nakone, manam to hamin fekr bodam. Karevan yeki az ahangas ke mikhastim dar yek namayeshe kochiki ba dostan bezanim. Rahbare gorohemon tar-zane va entekhabe baghie ahanga baes shode ke ham "la-bekar","la koron", "si-bemol" "si-bekar", "si-koron", "mi-bemoll", "mi-koron" vase zadaneshon lazeme =).

    Kheili mamnon hastam az rahnamaiton.

    Shad bashin!

  • Hej!

I believe you do not need Si-Bekar in this piece. As you see in this video, he also does not use Si-Bekar. So, take Yellow Si as Si-koron, and White and Poshte kharak az Si-Bemol, and enjoy playing it :)

  • Hi yes, you are right, but I need si-bekar for the other pieces we are playing in our local mini group =).

Love this piece, another awesome piece is Meshkatians Khazan, if you can find a setar/tar player to play it with, you'll be in heaven =D

  • Hey I just saw that you are/have been in Sweden? Are you still in Sweden (I am)?Listened to your piece with your pictures, very nice...

  • Yeah, I am still here :) Are you also in Sweden?

  • @mohammadpad yes! how cool isn't this!

  • plus you inspire me to play santoor everyday. thank you for your music.

  • I am very pleased to hear that. Please keep up the good work. And send my regards to your santur teacher.

  • that is amazing i too go to santoor classes and my is ostad baharam khayte he too studied with ostad payvar. and i hope i become as good as you one day.

  • how often do you practice and who is your ostad

  • During the first 10 years of intensive training with Master Faramarz Payvar, I practiced 10,000 hours in total (about 3 hours every day). Now after 24 years of playing the santur, I only need 3 hours per week to keep up my skills.
