yea this parade is totaly awesome! I miss the traditional ones...but the fact that there are dance moves that we can acturally learn (which i have) is really cool! I've been going ot DL a lot and my friends and I all dance to the parade and get noticed by workers who keep remembering us...we were even offered jobs haha
you guys calm down!!!!!!!! there is NOTHING wrong @ all with a parade that is short!!!! sure it isnt long but imagine how much work workers @ disneyland do to make it really and truly the happiest place on earth?!!?!?!? A LOT!!!!!!! Look folks, unfortunately Disney goes in cycles. They have for years now. They let the parks go, investing as little as possible for some time. Then when attendance dips to a level they dont like they decide they need to pump money into the parks and entertainment. They had great success and resurgence w/ the 50th Celebration. Think about it, do you remember their marketing before the 50th? I hope they will come up w/ something spectacular and dump this mess soon.

I wouldn't call this a fiasco per se, but I'm assuming the target audience is probably "Hairspray" fans since they actually sing 'You Can't Stop the Beat' at the end.
I don't think anyone doubts the talent and hard work of the performers in this. They're top notch. It's the show that has flaws. It's not very "Disney". You could easily see this playing at any venue outside of Disney. Remove the characters and you'd still have a show. This is more "Vegas" than Disney. The magic of Parade of Dreams is it touches you emotionally "because" of the Disney feel.

I think it's hard to compare this to previous parades, since it's not necessarily a parade. As much as I love Parade of Dreams, which has to be one of the best parades out there, CELEBRATE! has to be one of the best STREET PARTIES out there!

NO exaggeration at all. True, the performers work hard, but the thought and creativity behind this crappy display of nothing is a pitiful attempt to entertain. You can see something like this at Six Flags or Knotts. Ive seen it in person more than once. I cant wait until it has had its run. This show rips off songs, and they are lousy renditions at that. They throw confetti and mix in a bunch of characters and call it entertainment. It is crap on wheels and we all have come to expect better.
This parade is MUCH better in person. It's not a parade though, it's a street party. The show stops are long and it's just dancing. It's so much fun, I loved it. I saw the second performance, not the first, and it was just great. Also, the floats are better at night. They look great all lit up. I loved the parade, and sadly this video doesn't do it justice. (But it's understandable)
From the people the brought you: Super Star Limo, Block Party Bash and Light Magic, we now bring you Celebrate! A Street Party! a very horrible parade! This parade cost very little to produce. This will be around for years, not a few months, Disney is going back to it's old cheap ways.
Actually, I think they are getting rid of it next year because 2010 is Disneyland's 55th Anniversary, so they will be replacing it with the Worlds of Wonder Parade.

This parade is MUCH better in person. It's not a parade though, it's a street party. The show stops are long and it's just dancing. It's so much fun, I loved it.
