one of the best on here shows the right way to solve the problem and good idea with double rubberwasher ,they never show that or do they tell you .and the plumbers i,ve dealt with always go with the one great job and thank you
You have saved me so much time and effort and thanks again for the extra step of adding a washer which did stop the leaky tank...Your the Ideal Plumber!!
Wow!! Who knew there was to be a nut between the bowl and the tank holding the washer inside the tank tight. I never had that before and its a wounder the tank has not leaked before. But being apart now I could not stop the leak. Thanks for the tip.
Yeah this was strange, my replacement parts did not include the wing nut nor the metal washer. I think my leak is due to my using that extra rubber washer and nut being used to secure it to the tank. I will have to make a trip to the hardware and see if i got a faulty one or if they just assume you have a spare washer and wing nut standing around your bathroom.
I have watched MANY videos on this topic and could not actually see the different items used to repair this part of the toilet. I could not understand EXACTLY how to place the washers to prevent leaks. This video shows the actual placement of each part after showing what the part looks like.
Solid information! You always cover that extra step that others gloss over. I'm already subscribed but for some dumb reason I'd didn't come here first. I'll never make that mistake again. Thank you Plumberx!
Excellent video... very detailed and instructional. Two thumbs up for saving me a headache and bundle of money! You rock plumberx!
