Interesting fellow. Doubt he is a plant. People just voted for him because they are anti-establishment right now. He was someone other than the other guy. Being discharged involuntarily could simply mean that the military chose not to renew his reenlistment (that has actually been happening to many service people).

I think most people - had they looked at his bkgrnd & voting record - would have done a pass. OF COURSE they're not the same.
