  • no order, hendrix srv rory. Best. others have gotten close but these guys kill all competition. they did not care abut speed or trying to impress, they just played with heart and soul. The way its supposed to be. Clapton almost got there and Mayer showed promise but these guys are cemented as the best.

  • Kick Fuckin Ass....these guys...!!

  • go hiontach uimhir a h aon !

  • Every time I watch this,it sends a shiver down my spine.

No one can play a Strat like Rory could.

  • Такой крепко стоящий на ногах пьяный блюз.

  • Seriously...how good is this ...

  • @NintendoSinceBirth1 there are a few picture of him aged about 16, where it has its full sunburst finish =P

  • The drummer's face at 3:25 ..... Awesome.

  • There are posers who have never even heard of Rory, lets not tell 'em

  • Wow! Heavy heavy heavy. Rory and the boys rock the house!

  • absolute gem !!!1 rg for life !!

  • This song inspired Queens "Tie your mother down" :-)

  • Superb performance by Rory and the band,Gallaghers playing,Strat,Rangemaster,Vox AC30 doesn't get any better than this.

  • man did rory's guitar ever have a full coat of paint? haha

  • @NintendoSinceBirth1 yeah ive always wondered that myself lol

  • pure raw energy...I adore it!

  • Brilliant . This guy influenced so many guitar players.

  • Love this song, reminds me of this cool girl i used to date.

She look's like the morning sun,

    But you must remember,

    She's as cold as December,

    I can't remember what i done.....

  • WTF? HD in the seventies??

  • wow...and that is live....very...very...there...

rory is and should be in everyones hall of fame...

  • A true Guitar Hero.

  • PERFECTION, Rory at his definitive rockin' best, RIP.

  • reminded me of the white stripes

  • @huanton2many Oh really, let's see ,Rory can really play guitar, and the drummer is really a drummer. Case closed!

  • Rory is God of the strat, miss him, thanks for the memories.

  • 254 n 0 GO RORY GO!!!!!!

  • The riff that inspired Queen's Tie Your Mother Down

  • che fighi!

  • C 'est trop top en plus le tom du Batteur ne tiens pas !!!

    Cà c'est rock !!!!!

    :-)

    Je suis FAN

  • rory = jimmy page brother

  • They were Gods among mortals.

  • That battered old Stratocaster must have a story or two to tell. I saw him in 1969 and the power went off, but he just palyed on without amplification. Magnificent!

What a shame he's gone. Bumped into the bass player (Ritch Mc Cracken) in Carnaby Street shorly after the end of Taste.

  • a valve PA amp sitting right in the middle of the stage....

  • what happened to the rest of Taste ?

  • We need more drummers making those faces!!!

  • Rory was and still is the greatest guitarist ever, and not just because he was such a great player. the most honest and true player you will ever hear.does anybody know where i can get this on dvd or cd.? the quality is amazing.i have the two taste studio and two live recordings on cd .but where can i find this i have found his solo beat club but not with the taste. this is awesome beyond words!!!

  • Just awesome. Another guy I want to jam with when I get to Rock and Roll Heaven.

  • Fucking AMAZING. LISTEN TO THAT STRAT!!!

  • Great song. But the drummer seems to have trouble with the shuffle beat.

  • Okay Rory, you were one of the best guitarplayers in the world. Why did you have to die so young=

  • Jimi Hendrix was amazed at Rory's guitar playing when they played on the same bill at the Isle ot Wight. The story goes that JH was asked what it was like to be the best in the world and he said "better ask Rory Gallagher".

  • @nickhowes54

the same story goes with Eddie van Halen who presumely said "go ask Steve Lukather"...

  • looks like some pretty serious stuff going on here

  • Was this album ever officially released in the U.S.? I have only had it on import.

  • Thanks for this high quality video. Great band, great video quality, and pretty good audio, too!

  • ..You all MUST buy Beat Club Sessions, Rory Gallagher 1971 with Gerry MacAvoy and Wilgar Campbell, The best line up Rory ever had !!!

  • what about the rhythm section folks.

  • so RG has a Rangemaster sitting on top of the AC30, right ?...some kind of pedal action going on methinks in the heavy sections...just backing off the guitar volume will get the cleanup if a Rangemaster, as we all know.

  • @talpajam It's a treble booster, eh?

  • @HumblePie76 check out flynn amps of Glasgow for the full story on the rangemaster he's using.

  • Amazing Quality !!!!!!!!!!! 11 out 10 for this ! Fantastic ! With Richard Mc Cracken and John Wilson ... Such a shame it never lasted longer than it did.

  • @noblieogami , i'd say rory was better, my own opinion though =P

  • A great rock guitarist is nothing without a great rhytm section. Maybe sometime in the future ppl will understand that. Remembering Cream, The Experience and Taste - thx for the music.

  • he was only 22! such a talent!

  • Greatest white bluesman - EVER - !!

  • @leebambino

    mmm..... maybe SRV? :)

  • @leebambino why'd you gotta distinguish his race, you could just say "best electric bluesman", or something like that.

  • Look at John Wilsons bass drum mounted tom tom!!!

  • This is Rory early stuff but it has grown on me.

  • just raw music.

  • to bony618 whom ever u are. Thanks a million

  • THANK GOD FOR BEAT CLUB, THESE GREAT SOUNDING ORANGE AMPS AND THE UNBELIEVABLE RORY!!

    CHEERS!

  • beautiful

  • this is beyond cool, this guy went way to soon

  • these guys really had some kind of groove.

i have to crack up at John Wilsons tom tom mount.

ahh, the days before modern drum hardware.

  • Damn that was fantastic!! Love Rory to death.........

  • I saw Taste six times, best concerts of my life! This is just bloody fantastic!! 100*

  • @daviemcf How luck are you ,i only saw the great man go to work once here in belfast, but that one concert changed my whole out look on music

  • rocker53zero,you know I just realized when you were 17 you really resembled Rory a lot! Love this man and everything he did, what a loss of great talent the day we lost him. Thanks for sending this my way ♥

  • Belfast blues at it's best. John is still playing on drums, along with Billy Harrison from Them and Eric Wrixson, an ex Thin Lizzy member.

  • @rocker53zero he used to play here in belfast,in liverpool club on the woodvale, most sunday afternoons, remember Eric Bell coming along one sunday, but a great guirtarist Jim Armstong always stole the show

  • @1690k Big Jim Armstrong had a severe stroke a couple of years ago. The last I heard of him was that he is now living in Las Vegas, but don't know if there's any truth in that story.

  • @rocker53zero Thanks for your reply, yes he does live in Las Vegas,he took the time to reply to an email i sent him, talking about the old days, glad to report he said he might lift the old axe again soon,if any one has any footage of him with light or sk-boo or even on his own would love to see it posted, the last time i saw him he was playing a bluesy jass set,but he was saying the singer was murdered in londonderry, but as i said he is alive and well, what a great guirtarist he was.

  • @1690k I've got lots of C90 tapes of Sk'Boo and even some of Spike and Bronko. The guitarist, vocalist you were referring to was Jimmy Gilchrist, who was dragged off his bicycle on the way home from a motorcycle club meeting by scum from the Bogside. They stole his wallet and credit cars and dumped him in the Foyle while he was unconcious, where he drowned.... If you google (Jim Gilchrist murder) you will be able to read about what happened to him.

  • @rocker53zero Your are 100% correct in what you said, how it happened and by whom,Jim did name {Jimmy Gilchrist} by name and a brief detail of his murder in his email, glad to have spoken to someone who knows their stuff, all the best

  • rory is the BEST...

  • at 1:18 my heart fuckin blew up on that note, im suprised he doesnt rip off the neck!!! i musta watch that 25 times!

    thanks bony618
