id have to disagree...mike re-signed the sedins, he has re-signed luongo, he has brought in class players such as samuelsson and wellwood (u know hes underperforming) and even got an amazing backup in raycroft...plus many others...
the team made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs in his first year as GM, which is as far as any canucks team got under Burkie...and u proved urself wrong with the luongo being captain argument, so done deal...oh...and a kid named cody hodgson
may i add luongo is captain for his leadership role in the dressing room, not to be a vocal presence on the ice...other than communicating with players on the ice as all players do...
he can also lead ON the ice by just being the best player out there...making the big save, winning a shootout, and holding his own in the crease.
how is he a joke when he is a top contender for one of the goalie positions on Team Canada for the Olympics? Look at his stats since he broke out of his slump at the start of the season, he has been nothing short of stellar. In the last 4 games, he's let in 6 goals, pretty good if you ask me...
