  • Does anyone know the name of the housing project that was on Cunningham Place Street, Atlanta, in 1966? I don't know if it was Cunningham Place, or if that was only the street name.

  • capitol homes was the shit, i used to live near oakland cemetery, east atlanta

  • why is every project in atlanta getting shut down?

  • @sk8forlife90 to displace poor people so they can build high rise condos and make $

  • Im from New Orleans and Atlanta and every other hood in this country seem to be goin through the same where they knockin down these projects. The shit just aint rite where the government dont wanna help people get on their feet and live better

  • Yeah cities like Atlanta, New Orleans, and Chicago- cities really known for their housing projects- seem to be getting the raw deal. It's definitely upsetting.

  • @terminuszone1 - I wonder what is it about NY where the city feels their housing project program is successful. Its projects all thru NY. But no one cares. What is about the Chi, A, NO, DC. I once read that NY has the only successful project program in the country. Its wild down in PRico too w/ the PJs. I used to live next to some in PR. PJs all over the place down there. Kind of like Brazil's favelas. Wild as hell. Just lawless.

  • Honestly, I think cities like Atlanta, NO, and CHI had to get rid of their projects like this because of the extreme crime problems...most other cities don't have projects as concentrated with crime. I'm sure all projects have crime but not like the ones in these cities. NY projects are out in the open where people can walk around them safely. Atlanta's are secluded. Imagine having a highrise downtown with thousands of business people walking around them all day....

  • @terminuszone1 I dont think its successful in nyc man I think there is just too many residents that would be displaced, u gotta remember over 1 million people live in public housing in NYC

  • i say they just concentrate all the poor violent people in one single area than tearing down their homes and spreading em through the entire city.

  • i came up in downtown decatur...we used to post off in swanson heights/the OPs

  • @servin223s i live in the OP now and its actually nice and one of the few projects left in all of Da A

  • edgewood might as well have been the PJ's that's the home of the Rudeboys if anybody know aything about atlanta during ''84'' - ''88'' you know it was hardcore in edgewood although Bowen Homes was the hardest!!!

  • @callmekobay - they had a shootout at the Kroger in Edgewood this past Saturday. All on the news. Edgewood Courts where that cat, Alley Boy, from . Shit seems like it was really wild out there.

  • Whats the worst zone in ATL ? i know it aint Zone 6 cuz there aint shit in Zone 6 its just the sticks lol prob zone 1 or 3 right ?

  • Yeah I would say zone 1 or zone 3

  • I'm bias toward Zone 4, but I have to agree w/ 3 or 1 too.

  • @iTzzEuphoriaaaaaa worst part of ATL is prob zone 1 Bankhead, Da Bluff. Simpson then prob parts of Pittsburgh and Mechansville

  • @Atlien3 Mechanicsville*

  • waht about pebble brook projects on glenwood ?

  • Where Tobie Grant at in Scottdale ova here in da 6 Eastside all day

  • I'm going to put Tobie Grant up when I do the zone 6 video.

  • yeah, they're resting in peace...a lot more peace than they had when they were standing

  • i use 2 live in capitol homes

  • u got pics on pebblebrook projects on glenwood

  • Where are the pebblebrook projects on glenwood?

  • pebblebrook isnt a project...but it looks like one....Its on Glenwood going east soon as u pass columbia dr. its sits down a hill on the left

  • I was going to say... I thought I knew about all the projects and this Pebblebrook slipped my knowledge.

  • Edgewood still standing tall!!!!

  • Yo, Edgewood isn't a PJ, its a regular apt. complex owned by Herman Russell.

  • Yeah you're right technically... For the sake of Edgewood I put it up. You know Herman Russell developed most of the housing projects in Atlanta. Perry Homes etc...

There are a few other AHA projects that don't get recognition as much- Martin St Plaza in Summerhill and the Westminster up on Piedmont.

  • This video should have been done 15 years ago. You would have had waaaaaaaaaaaay more to show.

  • That's right- 15 years ago would be prime. Perry Homes, Eagan Homes, Harris Homes, Red Oak, Boat Rock, Kimberly Courts, Carver Homes, and East Lake Meadows. I got some other good ones up-

  • Yeah, I watched all your other videos. 'Preciate ya showin' folks what was really going down in the A... especially those Techwood/Clark Howell videos... those pics are hard to find.

  • T.V.P.-T.homas V.ille P.rojects 4 life
